Instruction for use

To ensure safe operation:

  • Before each use, verify the mechanical integrity of the device and of all its components.

The device body and all components must not show cracks or tears.

The protective sheath and the plug of the power cord should not be cracked or broken.

Upon the occurrence of the above, disconnect the plug from the wall socket and take the unit to the dealer for the necessary checks.

  • The electrical safety of the device is ensured only if connected to an efficient earthing system in accordance with current safety standards.

To verify this important requirement you need the help of a professionally qualified personnel.

The manufacturer can not be held responsible for damage caused by lack of earthing.

  • For your safety, it is recommended to supply power through a differential switch (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA .

  • Do not obstruct the cooling during operation.

  • Never immerse the appliance, the power cord and plug in water or other liquids.

  • Do not disconnect the electrical appliance by pulling the power cord.

  • Do not use or store this appliance outdoors, in a wet environment or near water.

  • Place the appliance on a horizontal supporting and firm plane whose surface is not sensitive (eg, lacquered furniture, tablecloths, etc..). Items such as caps, jars etc.. shall not be placed on the apparatus.

GROUNDING INSTALLATION

  • This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.   • At the appliance first use rinse the lid (3) and the filter (6), then let clean water boil three or four times consecutively without adding any additive.

Empty the kettle (1) and make sure that it is clean.

Do not fill the kettle (1) with water beyond the maximum level (1700ml); do not let the kettle (1) work if the water level is lower than 0,5l.

  • Lift the lid (3).
  • Fill the kettle (1) with cold water (1) as desired.

For a correct functioning, make sure that the water quantity in the kettle

(1) is never lower than the minimum level (500ml) or higher than the maximum one (1700ml).

  • Place the kettle (1) filled with water (max 1,7 L - min 0,5 L) on the stand (4); the appliance emits two beeps.

  • Press the power button (11), the appliance emits two beeps and the led indicator (14) turns on. The appliance starts itself at the default temperature of 100^ .

  • To set a different temperature, before the turning on (11), press the + / - button (12) to select the desired temperature (the corresponding led turns on). 50^ > 70^ > 80^ > 90^ > 100^ (all the led turned off) >50^>

If the chosen temperature led doesn't turn on, it means that the water temperature in the kettle is higher than the temperature itself.

If you don't press the power button (11) within 15 seconds from the temperature setting, the appliance enters into standby mode.

  • During the functioning it is possible to change the set temperature by pressing the "+" button (12).

EXAMPLE: when the appliance is functioning and the water temperature is 70^ , press the "+" button (12) once or more times to set:

80^ > 90^ > 100^ (all the led turned off) > appliance turned off > ....

  • When it reaches the set temperature, the appliance emits two beeps and the led indicator (14) turns off. The led corresponding to the set temperature blinks for about 1 minute.

  • To turn off the appliance:

  • press the power button (11), or

  • lift the kettle (1) from the stand (4), or
  • disconnect the plug from the power socket.
  • Place the kettle (1) containing water (max 1,7l - min 0,5l) on the stand (4); the appliance emits two beeps.
  • Keep the power button (11) pressed for about 3 seconds, the appliance turns on with the default temperature set at 50^ .

Press the power button (11) to turn off the appliance.

It is possible to set the desired temperature by pressing the + / - button (12) (the corresponding led blinks).

50^ > 70^ > 80^ > 90^ > 100^ (all the led turned off) >50^> ....

  • Keep the power button (11) pressed for about 3 seconds, the appliance emits a beep. If the water temperature is lower than the set one, the led indicator (14) turns on and the appliance heats water to the desired temperature, then emits two beeps, the LED indicator (14) turns off and temperature is maintained for 30 minutes (the corresponding led blinks).

If the water temperature is equal or higher than the maintenance one which has been set, the appliance emits two beeps and automatically goes into maintenance mode of the temperature itself for 30 minutes (water cools down until reaching the set temperature).

If you don't press the power button (11) within 15 seconds from the temperature setting, the appliance enters into standby mode.

  • After 30 minutes, the temperature maintenance function turns off, the appliance emits two beeps and goes into standby mode.
  • To turn off the appliance and cancel the temperature maintenance function:

  • keep the power button (11) pressed for about 3 seconds, or

  • disconnect the plug from the power socket.

  • Close the lid (3) by pressing it downwards until you hear it coupling.

A wrong lid (3) closing could cause overflows, steam leakages and an irregular functioning of the switching-off automatic switch.

  • Place the kettle (1) on the power stand (4), making sure that both are perfectly plane.
  • Connect the power plug to the power socket making sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the rating label of the appliance.

  • Once reached the maximum temperature, a thermostat stops the kettle functioning and the LED indicator (14) turns off.

If the kettle (1) is empty and the water quantity inside it is not enough, the safety thermostat will stop its functioning.

  • To turn it back on, wait for it to cool down, then insert a sufficient quantity of water and press the power button (11).
  • Power is interrupted when the kettle (1) is lifted from the stand (4).

  • To pour hot or boiling water from the kettle (1) don't open the lid.

  • When water boils, steam leaks from the spout (5); be careful.

  • To move the kettle or to pour water, firmly hold the kettle (1) by the handle (2) and operate carefully.

  • Remove the lid (3) from the kettle (1).
  • Open the filter (6) and insert the drink sachet or leaves.

Correctly close the filter (6).

  • Fill the kettle (1) with water (minimum 0,5 L, advised maximum 1,5 L).

  • Completely lift the plunger (8) from the lid (3).

  • Place the lid (3) on the kettle (1) by pressing it downwards until you hear the coupling click.
  • Place the kettle (1) on the stand (4); the appliance emits two beeps.
  • Turn on the appliance as desired (see previous paragraphs).

SOLUBLE AMERICAN COFFEE PREPARATION

  • Remove the lid (3) from the kettle (1).
  • Open the filter (6) and insert the soluble American coffee. Correctly close the filter (6).
  • Fill the kettle (1) with water (minimum 0,5 L, advised maximum 1,5 L).

  • Completely lift the plunger (8) from the lift (3).
  • Place the lid (3) on the kettle (1) by pressing it downwards until you hear the coupling click.
  • Place the kettle (1) on the stand (4); the appliance emits two beeps.
  • Turn on the appliance as desired (see previous paragraphs).
    The advised doses are 7-8 gr of soluble coffee for 2 100-150 ml cups.

  • Do not use metal polishers.

NEVER perform the appliance cleaning leading solutions of water and detergents (or products) which can create foam to boiling.

  • Clean the appliance inner part and the filter with normal dishes detergent, abundantly rinsing and accurately drying them before storing.

HOW TO DESCALE POSSIBLE LIMESTONE RESIDUES

  • With use, on the stainless stale plate internal to the kettle (1) some limestone could form. A periodic maintenance allows an optimal functioning of the appliance.
  • For cleaning, use specific kettles anti-scaling products available on the market.
  • Pour the anti-scaling product in the kettle proceeding as indicated in the instructions of the product itself.
  • Empty the kettle (1), abundantly rinse it and after waiting for it to completely cool down, dry it.
  • In case of more limestone residues repeat the cleaning operation.

The frequency of intervention depends, mainly, on the heated water hardness.

  • Alternatively, it is possible to fill the kettle with water and three coffee cups of white vinegar and let the solution work for one night.
  • Empty the kettle, fill it with clean water and let it boil.
  • Empty the kettle, rinse it and repeat the operation several times until you remove the possible residual vinegar smell.
  • If white stains remain inside the kettle, clean them with a damp cloth.

Clean the spout (5) filter.

  • Clean the lid (3) and the filter (6) with water and dishes detergent. Rinse and dry.
  • Accurately dry all of the components before storing or reusing them.

  • At the end of the appliance use, it is possible to wrap the power cord on the bottom of the power stand (4).

  • The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) Must not be left within reach of children as they are potential sources of danger.
  • Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the data on the plate correspond to those of the electricity distribution network. The plate is located on the bottom of the unit body.
  • In case of incompatibility between the socket and power cable plug, have the socket replaced with a suitable type by a qualified professional who will also have to make sure that the section of the cord is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance.

We do not recommend the use of adapters, multiple sockets and / or extensions.

When their use is absolutely necessary, you must use only simple or multiple adapters and extensions that comply with current safety standards, taking care not to exceed the range limit.

  • The use of an electrical appliance requires the observance of some fundamental rules. In particular:

  • do not touch or use the appliance with wet or damp hands or bare feet;

  • do not pull the power cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket;

P Conventional warranty conditions

This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights under D. Lgs. 02/022002, n. 24.

With this guarantee, the manufacturer suggests the Purchaser to address directly a Point of Sale which to comply with the restoration in a fast, safe and unquestionable quality.

This Warranty is effective regardless of the evidence that the defect - resulting from manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase of the device, except as provided in paragraph "d" of this text.

a) Warranty duration: 24 months from date of purchase.

After the first 12 months of warranty, the warranty on the unit will be managed by the Stores within 12 months of legal guarantee in strict application of the provisions of Legislative Decree 02/022002, n. 24.

b) The warranty is effective: In case of a request for assistance, the warranty is valid only if you show the warranty certificate together with a document, valid receipt, showing the identification details of the seller, the product and the date on which the purchase was made.
c) Warranty extension: Repair DOES NOT stop nor change the duration of the warranty which will expire on its legal deadline.
d) Limitations of Warranty:

The warranty does not cover any damage resulting from:

  • negligence, incompetence, recklessness and carelessness in use (failure to comply with the rules in this manual);
  • maintenance not covered in this booklet or performed by unauthorized personnel;
  • tampering or interventions to increase the power or efficacy of the product;
  • incorrect installation (power supply with a voltage other than that listed on the nameplate and in this booklet);
  • improper use of the appliance;
  • damage due to normal wear and tear of the components, impacts, falls, transport damage.
  • the guarantee does not cover the repair / replacement of parts subject to wear during normal use of the product (hooks, kneading, blades, belts, connectors ...).

e) Costs: In cases not covered by the warranty, the manufacturer reserves the right to charge the customer the cost of repair or replacement of the appliance.

f) Manufacturer's responsibility: The manufacturer is not liable for any damage that may directly or indirectly affect persons, property or pets as a consequence of failure to comply with all the requirements set out in this "Instructions for Use" booklet and concerning especially the warnings regarding installation, use and maintenance.
