Bediening controller

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To avoid damage or danger by improper use, the instrucon for use should be carefully kept and followed. If you give the appliance to another person, also supply them with the instrucon for use.

1. Control that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on Ensure the rang plate of the appliance.
2. SUPPLY: This electric blanket must be connected to a suitable 220- 240V 50Hz power supply. If using an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is of a suitable 10 A power rang.
3. Fully unwind the supply cord when in use as a coiled cord may overheat.
4. When using electrical appliances, always follow safety regulaons where applicable to reduce the risk of re, electric shock and personal injury.
5. This appliance is for household use only and not intended for commercial or medical use.

6. The electrical and magnec elds emied by this electrical product may eventually interfere with the funconing of heart pacemakers. However, they are far below the limits: electrical eld strength max. 5000 V/m, magnec eld strength: max. 80 A/m, magnec ux density: max. 0.1 millitesla). Please ask your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this product.

7. Do not use the Blanket in areas of the body that are inamed, injured or swollen. If in doubt, you should seek medical advice before use. This also applies for diabec persons.

8. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
9. Do not use it on helpless persons, infants, children, persons insensitive to heat. Do not use to animals without supervision. Do not operate the warming pad unsupervised in any kind.
10. Do not leave packaging components (plasc bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) within the reach of children, as it could be dangerous.
11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
12. The cord should not come into contact with water or other liquids.
13. Do not place on or near a hot gas, electric burner or on ovens.
14. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
15. To avoid any risk of electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug, switch or appliance in water or other liquid.
16. Never use the heat blanket when it is wet. Do not use electric appliances while standing on wet surface or with wet hands.
17. Unplug the appliance before removing additional parts.
18. Prolonged use can cause burns on the skin. Cauon! Avoid to fall

asleep while the warming pad is in operaon.

1. Do not use the appliance with a clock mer. Avoid creasing the blanket a lot.

Special safe rules:

• must be connected to a suitable 220-240 V~ 50Hz power supply
• do not switch on and use when it is folded or crumbled.
• do not tuck in or clamp (especially when using separated matrasses or adjustable sofas.
• do not fold sharply
• do not use with animals
• do not use when it is wet or humid
• do not use it rucked, avoid creasing, do not insert pins into the electric blanket, do not use if it is wet or has suered water splashes.
• while the heang blanket is switched on, there must be no objects (e. g. suitcase or laundry basket), no heang elements such as hot water boles or heang pads, lie on it
• the switch must not be covered by blankets, pillows, etc and the switch may not lie on it
• do not pull on the cord, turn it or bend it sharply

• The appliance is not to be used by young children over the age of three unless the controls have been pre-set by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately instructed on how to operate the controls safely. Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheang.

• Frequently the appliance must be checked for signs of wear or damage.

Warning: The blanket cannot be used on a waterbed or mechanically adjustable type of bed such as a bunk or sofa bed. Check to ensure that the controller and supply cord cannot become trapped in any bed or bedding. Keep controller outside of the bedding as much is possible. Secure the blanket through the middle and corners (indicated by doed lines).

Warning: Check the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the appliance has been misused, it must be returned to the manufacturer or dealer for check prior to any further use.

1. If the mains cable is damaged, it should only be replaced at a repair workshop approved by the manufacturer, as special tools are required for the repair.
2. Repairs to electrical appliances must be carried out only by trained personnel. Improper repair could result in considerable risks for the user.
3. When the appliance is not in use, the plug should be removed from the mains and the appliance.

8. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, if it malfuncons or has been damaged in any manner. Ask a (^*) competent qualified electrician to check and repair it.

9. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*) to avoid any danger. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*).

(*)Competent qualified electrician : aer sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to such electrician.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove all packaging parts before initial operaoon.

When heat blanket is used for the rst me, it can smell of plasc, but this disappears aer a short me. Before starng the rst me, insure that the temperature control switch is in OFF posion. Use the appliance as a blanket only. This appliance is only for warming human bodies. The best results

may be expected when the blanket is placed to a body before switching it on. Do not place the switch under a cover. Pre-heang me takes about 5-10 minutes when covered. You can use the warming pad on both sides.

The heang blanket has an overheang protecon and will switch o when failure occurs. If the protece device is ruptured, appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or his agent to repair.

The appliance may only be used with 220 240 Volts a.c.

INITIAL OPERATION

Place the blanket at ensuring that it does not overhang anywhere. Avoid that the blanket can get folded or crumpled. The blanket may only be switched on when it is kind of at and unfurled. It is recommended to preheat it for about 5-10 minutes.

Once the electric blanket has been installed correctly in posion, connect the controller supply plug to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the controller is set to O. Switch the power on. Select the desired heat seng on the controller. The indicator lamp on the switch indicates that the blanket is ON.

Only operate the blanket with the supplied switching unit model.

CAUTION: The electronic components inside the switch may lead to a slight warming of the switch when the product is on. Therefore the switch must not be covered or placed on top of the warming pad when it is in operaoon.

Switch on the appliance using the hand-operated switch.

When using level 3-6 the heang blanket will get warm faster. When using the warming pad for several hours it is recommended to use level 1.

Warning: Do not sleep with the controller set to any level Use high seng only to pre-heat the bed, aer pre-heang reduce the heat seng to a lower or middle level. Set to 0 = OFF when heat is no longer required.

Warning: Remember to switch the blanket o at the end of use, do not leave it switched on indenitely.

Warning: It is recommended that this blanket is used with a residual current safety device (safety switch) with a rated residual operang current not exceeding 30mA .

Qualified persons using original replacement parts may only undertake repairs to the electric warming pad. Repairs carried out by unqualified persons may cause substantial risk to the user.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINANCE

1. Unplug the appliance from the outlet aer each use and before each cleaning.
2. Never submerge the control unit in any liquid. Keep away from all solvents and harsh detergents.
3. Caon! Never dry clean, wring-out, tumble-dry, mangle or iron the

warming pad!

1. Cauon! Never switch the appliance on when it is wet in order to dry it!

2. The cable with the control unit is removable. Before cleaning always remove the plug in coupling directly at the appliance (see gure).

3. Small stains can be removed by using a damp cloth or sponge with mild detergent if necessary. Avoid cleaning agents containing sharp solvents.

4. The warming pad can be hand washed or machine washed at 30^ . Never wring the warming pad. Never hang it with cloth-pegs. Never dry clean! Never tumble-dry!

5. Replace the plug and use the warming pad again only when the plug in coupling and the whole warming pad are completely dry.

1. Cauon! Washing the warming pad very oen will shorten its lifespan.
2. Remove lint by using a lint roller.

Storing: When not in use for longer period it is recommended to place the (dry) blanket protected by its original packaging in a safe, cool and dry place.

When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding. Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.

DISPOSAL

Please observe the environment! Dispose the packaging according to the local garbage regulaons. Dispose paper and carton separately from plasc bags into the corresponding containers. Dispose the appliance at the end of its lifespan according to environmental consideraons. (Special waste collecon WEEE of your local waste management authorities)

Please dispose of the electric blanket in accordance with the Ordinance on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)2012/19/EU or the applicable local regulaons. In case of inquiries, please contact the

municipal authorities responsible for waste disposal in your area.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

The guarantee period for this appliance is 24 months. The guarantee starts from the date of purchase (cash receipt). In case of malfuncon you may send the appliance to your dealer, add informaon about the malfuncon and the original purchase receipt (which is obligatory for a repair free of charge)

Within the guarantee period we repair defects of the appliance, which are based on material or manufacturing faults, in our choice by repair or exchange. These obligaons do not extend the period of guarantee. No claim on a new period of guarantee results from it.

An exact descripion of the complaint reduces the processing me. We apologise for any inconvenience, that any claims of good-will are excluded:

• aer expiry of the lifeme due to the construcon and especially

for baeries, accumulators, electric lamps...

• for consumpon accessories and wear parts such as driving belts, motor coals, tooth brushes, grinding aachments, dough hooks, beaters, mixer aachments, round cuers etc.
• in case of breakage, as e.g. glass, porcelain or plasc
• in case of damages in transport, misuse, as well as in case of lack of care, cleaning and maintenance and in case of non-observance of operon or mounng instrucons
• in case of chemical and/or electrochemical eects
• in case of operaoon with wrong type of the current voltage and in case of connecng to unsuitable power sources
• in case of abnormal environmental conditions and in case of strange operon conditions
• as well as if repairs or illegal aborons are made by persons, who are not authorised by us or
• if our appliances are equipped with spare parts, supplementary parts or accessories, which are not original parts or if contact with unsuitable material have caused the damage
