Caution in using the product

Please check every part of the product to ensure there is no problem before using the product. Please do not use the product if any sign of a crack, chipping, dent, bending, slackness or other abnormality is discovered.
Please do not use the product for any purpose other than boiling water since it may result in discoloration or corrosion. Do not use the product for cooking.
- Do not use the product if it is filled with water to the brim. Always fill the product with water only up to the proper level. Overfilling the product may result in hot water to boil over and may result in burn injury.
- Never heat the product empty. Heating an empty product may result in deformation or damage to the product and may also cause a fire or burn injury.
Do not apply heat with the lid off. This will cause the handle to become heated by steam, which may cause burn injury. In addition, this may damage the handle.
The handle may become very hot while boiling water or soon after boiling water.Use a pot-holder or kitchen mitten to avoid burn injury.
- Keep the product away from children while boiling water or soon after boiling water to avoid children from touching the product.
Please note that the long preservation of water causes rust and the hole to open.
Please do not remove the lid while holding the handle after emptying boiled water from the product or if boiled water remains in the product. Steam may cause injury from burn.

• Do not use the product if the handle becomes loose. It may result in the product dropping and cause burn injury.
  If the handle is damaged, do not attempt to repair or modify the handle and use the product.
  Please tighten the knob of the lid if it becomes loose.

  Please do not give a strong impact such as drops from a high place. It causes damage and the transformation.
  Attempting to pour out boiled water from the product immediately after water is boiled may result in hot water to splatter. Please wait at least 20 seconds after turning off the heat.
  Please follow practical capacity of the product in using the product.

Since the pouring spout, body and opening are small, there is a risk of boiling water to boil over from these openings. Please ensure not to over fill and take care to control the amount of heat to apply.

With the cooking heater at use

Ensure to wipe off any water adhering to the bottom of the product before putting it on a cooking heater for a more efficient heating.
Ensure to place the kettle at the center of the heater.
A humming noise may occur while heating the product on an IH heater. This is caused by vibrations of the heater and the kettle resonating. This does not mean that the kettle is defective.
• Please do not use it when the transformation and trouble are caused by the fall and boiling without water, etc. Please use it correctly along the manual of the cooking heater used.

Compatible all fires. (Except microwave and oven)

With the gas range at use

• Do not use the product to boil small amount of water. Part of the body that is not in contact with water will be overheated and become discolored.
  Please adjust the flame so that the flame does not spread out beyond the bottom of the product. The handle and lid knob may become overheated and become deteriorated or discolored if the flame is too large.
  Please place the kettle at the center of the cooking range to ensure stability while boiling.

Preparation before use

○Apply some dishwashing detergent on a washing sponge and wash the product 2 to 3 times and rinse off thoroughly before using the product for the first time.
- Then put some water in the product and let the water boil. Repeat this procedure once or twice.
Do not use chlorine bleach.
Remove all stickers, if any attached to the body of the product before use.

Care after use

Wash the product thoroughly using a sponge or a scrubbing brush. Wipe off any water and let the product dry thoroughly.
- Allowing traces of salt or oil to remain on the surface of the product may result in corrosion. Please ensure to keep the product clean.
Please be aware that allowing the product to remain in contact with other products made of steel or aluminum may cause corrosion to develop.
If any sign of corrosion is discovered, apply some scouring compound cream on a sponge or a scrubbing brush and rub it off, then rinse thoroughly.
White spots may appear on the bottom as you keep using the product. This is caused by residue of magnesium and calcium contained in tap water. This is not harmful to your health. The same will adhere to the body, lid or pouring spout. Please wash off thoroughly after use.

• This product can be used with the following types of cooking appliance.

Precautions for Use

• Check all parts of the product for abnormalities before use. Do not use the product if you find any abnormalities such as cracks, damage, dents, bends or looseness.
• Do not use for any purpose other than boiling water, as doing so may result in discoloration or corrosion. Do not use the product for cooking.
• Do not fill the product to the brim. Fill only to the appropriate level. Overfilling the product may cause water to boil over resulting in scolds.
• Do not heat the product empty. Doing so may cause deformation or damage to the product. It may also cause fire or burns.

• Do not heat the product without the lid. Doing so may cause the handle to become hot, resulting in burns. It may also damage the resin handle.

• The handle may become very hot during and just after heating. Use kitchen gloves to prevent burns.

• Keep the product well away from children during and after boiling water to ensure children cannot touch the product.
• Keeping water in the product for long periods may cause rust or holes to appear.
• Do not hold the handle and open the lid directly after pouring hot water or when hot water still remains inside the product. Doing so may result in burns from steam.
• Do not use the product if the handle becomes loose. Doing so may result in burns due to the product falling.
• If the handle is damaged, do not attempt to modify or repair the handle for continued use.
• If the knob on the lid becomes loose, re-tighten the screw.
• Do not use the product on a room heater. Doing so may cause the product to tip over, resulting in burns.
• Do not subject the product to strong impact such as dropping it from a high place. Doing so may result in damage or distortion.
• Hot water may splash from the product if poured immediately after heating. Wait approximately 20 seconds after turning the heat off before pouring.
• Use the product at the practical capacity.

Important

• The pouring spout and body openings have small diameters, and there is a risk of water boiling over from these parts. Be sure not to over fill and over heat the product.

Using on a Cooking Heater

• Be sure to wipe any water droplets off the underside of the product before placing it on the heater to ensure efficient heating.
• Place the product at the center of the heater.
• A humming noise may occur when heating the product on an IH heater. This is caused by vibrations of the heater resonating through the product, and is not a defect.
• Do not use the product if it is deformed or rattles due to being dropped, or if holes have appeared.
• Use the product correctly in accordance with the cooking heater instruction manual.

Using on a Gas Cooker

• Do not use the product to boil a small amount of water. Parts that do not contain water may overheat and discolor.
• Adjust the size of the flame so that the flame does not spread to the sides of the product. Doing so may cause the handle or lid knob to become hot, resulting in deterioration or discoloration.
• Place the product at the center of the cooktop to ensure stability.

Preparation Before Use

• Wash the product using a sponge and neutral detergent two or three times before using for the first time.
• Next, boil and throw away water once or twice.
• Do not use chlorine bleach on the product.
• Remove any stickers that are attached to the product before use.

Care After Use

• Wash with a sponge, etc. after use, wipe off any water and allow the product to dry before storage.
• Dirt that contains salt or oil on the product may cause rust. Be sure to keep the product clean.
• Storing the product in contact with other types of metal such as steel or aluminum may cause the product to rust.
• If rust occurs, remove the rust using a cream cleaner and sponge, etc., and then rinse thoroughly.
• White spots may appear on the bottom of the product through continued use. These are caused by magnesium or calcium residue from tap water. They are not harmful to health. White spots may appear on the body, lid or spout of the product. Wash thoroughly after use.
