Intended use
This machine is intended primarily for non-commercial use in closed rooms for polishing shoes. Any use other than previously stated is considered as improper use.

Safety instructions
Inspect the machine for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged device.
This machine is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the machine from such a person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine.
Store the machine and accessory parts out of the reach of children.
Do not leave the machine unattended during operation.
Only allow repairs to the machine to be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service; this particularly applies to replacing a damaged connecting cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. They will also invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Repairs to the machine during the guarantee period may only be carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise the warranty/guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
Only use spare parts from the manufacturer or spare parts that are specifically recommended by the manufacturer. The warranty/guarantee will otherwise be invalidated.
Do not use this machine together with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
The appliance is not suitable for in- stallation in an area where a water jet could be used.
The appliance must not be cleaned by a water jet.
DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Do not use the machine if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Do not open the housing of the machine. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the machine or the mains plug in water or other liquids.

- when assembling and disassembling,
- if you are not using the machine,
- if a malfunction occurs during operation,
– before you clean the machine.
Risk of suffocation!
Never play with packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

WARNING
Always disconnect the mains plug before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storing the machine.
Keep hair, jewellery, loose clothing, fingers and other body parts away from the brushes.
Do not allow the connecting cable to hang over edges (risk of tripping).
When used for a longer period of time, the machine can become hot.
Allow the machine to cool down before using it again, storing it or carrying out work on the machine.
CAUTION
Do not stand or sit on the machine.
Do not leave any objects on the machine.
Do not the store the machine in the vicinity of heat sources.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the machine.
When using a coloured shoe polish, the brushes and shoes polished afterwards can discolour.
Exert as little pressure as possible with your shoes onto the brushes. The shoes can be damaged if too much pressure is exerted.
Do not use the machine to clean ▶ suede shoes, shoes with coarse or textile surfaces.
CAUTION
Never lift or move the machine with the mains cable.
Do not pull the connecting cable ▶ to remove the plug from the mains socket.
Do not crush the connecting cable. (e.g., under doors).
Do not expose the connecting cable to heat or chemical liquids.
Requirements for the place of use
For safe and trouble-free operation of the machine, the place of operation must satisfy the following requirements:
Put the machine onto a firm, dry and even base.
Do not install the machine in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
The mains socket must be easily accessible to enable quick disconnection of the machine from the electric circuit in the event of an emergency.
The surface finishes on floor coverings may contain substances that can be detrimental to the rubber feet of the machine. If necessary, place a mat under the feet of the machine.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the machine, the following instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the machine, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. The data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the machine. If in doubt, ask your electrical machine retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.
Ensure that the mains lead is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.
The mains cable must not be pulled ♦ tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
Route the cable to prevent risk of tripping.
The electrical safety of the machine is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the machine, all accessory parts and the user manual from the box.

Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.

NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the machine. If possible, keep the original packaging during the guarantee period in order to be able to pack the machine properly in the event of a guarantee claim. Transport damage will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Check the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.

Report incomplete or damaged contents to your supplier immediately.

Before using for the first time
Remove the cap of the shoe polish ◆ container.

Operation and use
Switching the machine on/off
The machine is turned on and off via the ON/OFF switch (2) on the top side of the machine.
Using the machine
Switch on the machine.
First use the cleaning brush to remove dirt and dust from the surface of the shoes.

To apply shoe polish from the shoe polish container (4), lightly press the shoe to be polished against the ball that is attached to the turning mechanism underneath the shoe polish container (4). You can polish shoes of any colour with a colourless shoe polish.
Polish the cleaned and creamed shoes with one of both external polishing brushes (for this purpose, use brush (6) for polishing dark shoes or brush (9) for polishing light shoes).
Switch off the machine after using.
Servicing
Changing the shoe polish container (images A1 and A2)
To change the shoe polish container, proceed as follows:
First remove the holder (2) for the shoe polish container by pressing the metal latch (1) on the side of the holder.
Remove the holder with the shoe ◆ polish holder (3) towards the right.
Remove the shoe polish container ◆ from its holder (3) and replace it.
Put the shoe polish container back into the holder and replace it into the machine. To do this, hang the holder from the right – the opening of the shoe polish container points downwards – and press the holder backwards until the metal latch audibly snaps in.
Changing the brushes (image B1)
To change the brushes, loosen the respective screw that fixes the brush to the fixture (1). You can then remove the brushes from the fixture.
CAUTION
After changing, tighten the screws so that the brush cannot turn.
