How to connect the IP116 camera to the Wi-Fi network?

1. Press and hold the reset button until the camera beeps and the red LED flashes. 2. On your phone, connect to the Wi-Fi network named HD WiFi Cam. 3. Open the app, tap [+], give the camera a name, enter the password (default 888888), your home Wi-Fi network name and its password. 4. Wait for the blue LED to become solid, the connection is established.

What should I do if the red indicator flashes?

The flashing red indicator means the camera is in Wi-Fi pairing mode. If you do not want to pair it, you can wait a few minutes; the flashing will stop. For a new pairing, follow the Wi-Fi connection procedure.

How to reset the camera to factory settings?

Use the provided reset pin to press and hold the reset button on the back until the camera beeps. The red LED will start flashing, indicating the camera is reset and ready for a new pairing.

Which memory card to use and how to insert it?

Use a micro-SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. Insert it into the slot on the back of the camera. Be careful not to insert the card when the camera is powered on. It is recommended to format the card before first use if it already contains files.

How to share access to my camera with others?

In the app, go to camera settings and save the displayed QR code icon. Send this QR code to your friends. They can scan the code from their app to view your camera. To cancel sharing, change the camera password.

Can I use the camera without a micro-SD card?

Yes, the camera works without a micro-SD card for live viewing. However, local recording requires a micro-SD card. Without a card, you will not be able to record videos. The camera records automatically every 20 minutes if a card is inserted.

How to change the camera password?

In the app, open camera settings and look for the Password option. Enter the old password (default 888888) then the new one. After modification, all paired phones will need to enter the new password to access the camera.

What to do if the camera does not connect to Wi-Fi?

Check that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz (the camera does not support 5 GHz). Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct. Place the camera near the router for a better signal. If the problem persists, reset the camera and try again.

How to sync the date and time?

In the app, go to camera settings and look for the Sync date and time option. Tap to sync with your phone's time. Verify that the time is correct after syncing.

Is the IP116 camera compatible with Chuango alarm systems?

Yes, if you use a Chuango alarm system, simply download the alarm system app instead of the IP116 Camera app. The camera will then integrate with the existing system.

Support 32GB microSD card maximum; please do not insert the card after the camera is powered on.

This camera automatically records and saves video once every 20 minutes; the video recorded at the earliest will be replaced with the latest ones if the microSD card is full.

Note: Please format your microSD card before inserting into this slot if any file had been written in.

Download the App

Download the App by searching "IP116 camera" from Apple Store or Google Play.

If you also bought a Chuango alarm system, you don't need to download the separate app for the camera, just setup through the app for the alarm system.

WiFi Pairing

1. Preparation

- Hold the reset button by using the supplied reset pin until the camera beeps once, and then the red indicator starts to blink

- Find and choose the WiFi named "HD WiFi Cam" from your phone's WiFi list

2. Pairing Camera with WiFi through App

- Launch the App, and then tap [+] to add a new camera

• Name your camera, enter the password (default: 888888) and input your home WiFi name & password

- When the blue indicator is on, it means the camera has connected with WiFi

* Make sure the UID No. is displayed before tapping [OK]

The paired camera will be displayed in the video list.

Note: For safety, it is recommended to change the password of your camera on the setting menu after pairing.

Share or Stop Sharing Camera with Your Friends

Tap and save the QR code icon on your camera's [Settings] interface, send to your friends so they can watch your camera from his/her App by scanning the given QR code.

If you want to stop sharing the camera, please change the password of camera.

Password

All the successfully paired phones have the same authority as administrator who can view and set the camera (including changing the password), so it is recommended to pair the phones of users with caution. For non-administrator users, you can share the camera by sending the QR code for them to scan.

Sync the Date and Time

Check if the camera's date and time are set correctly. Sync them with your phone's time if necessary.
