How to configure the Crestron CENIGWEXERPWE WiFi repeater?

Plug the device into a power outlet or use PoE. Connect to the web interface via the default IP address (see manual). Follow the setup wizard to extend your existing WiFi network.

What are the LED lights on the device and what do they mean?

The power LED is solid green when the device is powered on. The WiFi LED flashes while searching for a network and becomes solid green when connected. See the manual for more details.

Can I use the CENIGWEXERPWE as an access point?

Yes, the device can operate as an access point. You must connect it via Ethernet to your router and change the mode in the configuration interface.

How to reset the device to factory settings?

Press and hold the reset button on the back for 10 seconds. The LEDs will flash to confirm the reset.

The repeater does not turn on, what to do?

Check that the AC adapter is properly connected and the outlet works. If using PoE, ensure the switch provides power. Contact support if the problem persists.

What is the maximum range of the repeater?

Range depends on the environment. Indoors without obstacles, expect about 30 meters. Thick walls or interference can reduce range.

Can I connect multiple repeaters in cascade?

Yes, you can use multiple CENIGWEXERPWE to extend coverage. Configure each in repeater mode by associating them with the main network or another repeater.

How to update the firmware?

Download the latest firmware from the Crestron website. Log into the device web interface, go to the 'Maintenance' or 'Update' section, and follow the instructions.

Does the repeater get hot normally?

Moderate heat is normal during operation. Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked. If the device becomes very hot, unplug it and contact support.

What are the recommended security settings?

Use WPA3 if available, otherwise WPA2-PSK with a strong password. Enable MAC filtering if necessary. Change the default admin password.
