IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. Attach the handle to the lid if necessary. To do so, loosen the screw from the handle, insert it in the hole of the lid, from inside to outside, and tighten the handle on the outer part of the lid without forcing. Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. "Cleaning and care"). It is recommended to heat up the appliance for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell. Ventilate the room during this period. OPERATION Insert the plug with thermostat into the appliance (cf "Assembly") making sure that the temperature button is on the “MIN“ position and put the plug in the power socket. Select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. The pilot light will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating. Preheat the cooker to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the pilot light will go out. The pilot light goes on and off while the appliance is working to indicate that the set temperature is maintained. Now put the foodstuffs in the cooker. When foodstuffs are wholly baked, they can be kept warm by setting the thermostat knob to « MIN ». The baking times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste. Never use your appliance for more than one hour with the thermostat set on the maximum temperature. When baking is finished, turn the button to the “MIN” position and disconnect the cooker. ASSEMBLY
PRACTICAL HINTS Frozen food should always be thawed before it is baked. Never scratch the special non-stick coating since it would lose its non-adhesive properties. Before cleaning, put the thermostat in MIN position and make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket. Allow the appliance to cool down thoroughly and unplug the thermostat from the appliance. Never immerse the appliance totally in water or any other liquid, especially the electric connection point. The appliance may only be immersed halfway, at the side opposite to the connection point, and not beyond the half of the product. However, should there be water on the electric connection, wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it anew. Wipe the outer surfaces of the cooker with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners as these might damage the non-stick coating.
