How to clean the PZP 3 multi-function cooker?

Set the thermostat knob to MIN, unplug and let it cool down. Remove the thermostat plug. Clean the exterior with a slightly damp soft cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water, especially the electrical connections.

Can I use metal utensils on the pan?

No, to avoid scratching the non-stick coating, use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula.

What is the maximum temperature and for how long?

The maximum temperature is 240°C (position 5). Do not use it for more than one hour continuously at this temperature.

How to attach the handle to the lid?

Unscrew the screw attached to the handle, insert it into the lid hole from the inside to the outside, then screw the handle on top without forcing.

What if the power cord is damaged?

The cord must be replaced with an identical cord. Contact the nearest after-sales service.

Can I cook frozen food directly?

It is recommended to thaw frozen food before cooking for better cooking and safety.

How to preheat the appliance?

Plug in the thermostat on MIN setting, select the desired temperature, the indicator light turns on. Wait until the light turns off: the appliance has reached the ideal temperature.

Is the appliance safe for children?

The appliance is not intended for use by children. Supervise them so they do not play with it. Surfaces can become very hot.

What types of food can I cook?

You can cook meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, pizzas, pancakes, etc. Refer to the temperature chart for appropriate settings.

How to dispose of the appliance at end of life?

Do not throw it in household waste. Take it to a selective collection point for recycling in accordance with Directive 2002/96/EC.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.

Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.

From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance show any signs of damage. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician! Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by an identical cord. Therefore, please contact the nearest customer service.

Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.

Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.

Do not clean the appliance like a casserole and never immerse it in liquids.

Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance. Do not use any other cord than the one provided with the appliance or a cord of similar composition, as it is made up of heat protection devices which are necessary for the good working of your appliance and for your security.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch these surfaces and make use of the handles.

The appliance must be heated by its heating element only.

Make sure the hot parts of the appliance never come into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur.

Switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR WHEN FUNCTIONING AT MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Attach the handle to the lid if necessary. To do so, loosen the screw from the handle, insert it in the hole of the lid, from inside to outside, and tighten the handle on the outer part of the lid without forcing.
  Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. "Cleaning and care"). It is recommended to heat up the appliance for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the (new) smell.
• Ventilate the room during this period.

OPERATION

• Insert the plug with thermostat into the appliance (cf "Assembly") making sure that the temperature button is on the "MIN" position and put the plug in the power socket.
• Select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. The pilot light will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating.
• Preheat the cooker to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the pilot light will go out. The pilot light goes on and off while the appliance is working to indicate that the set temperature is maintained.
• Now put the foodstuffs in the cooker.
• When foodstuffs are wholly baked, they can be kept warm by setting the thermostat knob to « MIN ».
  The baking times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste. Never use your appliance for more than one hour with the thermostat set on the maximum temperature.
• When baking is finished, turn the button to the "MIN" position and disconnect the cooker.

• Frozen food should always be thawed before it is baked.
• Never scratch the special non-stick coating since it would lose its non-adhesive properties. Use a wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic spatula.

CLEANING AND CARE

Before cleaning, put the thermostat in MIN position and make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket.
- Allow the appliance to cool down thoroughly and unplug the thermostat from the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance totally in water or any other liquid, especially the electric connection point. The appliance may only be immersed halfway, at the side opposite to the connection point, and not beyond the half of the product. However, should there be water on the electric connection, wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it anew.
- Wipe the outer surfaces of the cooker with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.
- Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners as these might damage the non-stick coating.
