How to assemble the PKM 1500 A1 sweeper?

Assembly is shown on page 2 of the manual. Attach the push handle to the appliance body using the screws provided. Make sure the rotating brush and side brush are correctly installed before use.

How to empty the dust bin?

Lift the dust bin (2) to remove it. Empty its contents into a trash can. Put it back in place until it clicks. If removing glass or metal, wear sturdy gloves to avoid cuts.

Can you sweep wet leaves with this sweeper?

Yes, it is suitable for sweeping wet leaves. However, avoid sweeping liquids or overly wet substances as the appliance is not designed for liquids. Sticky leaves may clog the brush; clean it after use.

How to clean the rotating brush?

Use a knife or scissors to cut leaves, grass, or branches wrapped around the rotating brush, then remove them. Do not use sharp objects that could damage the brush. Regular cleaning maintains efficiency.

What types of waste should not be swept?

Never sweep liquids, burning or hot objects (cigarettes, matches), hazardous substances (acids, solvents, gasoline), or flammable gases. These items can damage the appliance or pose a fire risk.

Is the sweeper suitable for gravel paths?

Yes, it can be used on gravel, but be careful not to lift gravel with the brush. The dust bin can collect small gravel, but excessive use on gravel may wear the brush prematurely.

What is the lifespan of the brushes?

The lifespan depends on frequency of use and surfaces swept. Under normal use on smooth surfaces, the brushes can last several years. Regularly check the condition of the rotating brush and side brush, and replace them if necessary (parts not included).

How to maintain the sweeper after use?

Empty the dust bin, clean the rotating brush as described above, and wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals (scouring powders). Store the appliance in a dry place.

Does the warranty cover the brushes?

The 3-year warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. Brushes are wear parts and are generally not covered by the standard warranty. Check the warranty conditions on the purchase receipt or with after-sales service.

Can I use the sweeper on grass?

Yes, it can be used for sweeping grassy surfaces, such as garden paths. However, tall and wet grass can wrap around the brush. It is recommended to mow first or use the sweeper on short grass.

This sweeper has been designed to sweep dirt and debris from outdoor surfaces.

Environmental protection

The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not place the packag-

ing into the ordinary refuse for disposal, but arrange for the proper recycling.

Description of the Appliance

When unpacking the product, make sure that no accessories are missing and that none of the package contents has been damaged. If you detect any transport damage please contact your SERVICE PARTNER.

Safety instructions

This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or are instructed by these persons on the use of the device. ■ The appliance is not suitable for sweeping off liquids.
■ Please do not sweep away any burning substances such as cigarettes, match sticks or similar objects.
■ Please wear safety gloves while removing glass, metal or other materials from the waste container.
■ Never vacuum up explosive liquids, combustible gases or undiluted acids and solvents. This includes petrol, paint thinner or heating oil which can generate explosive fumes or mixtures upon contact with the suction air. Acetone, undiluted acids and solvents must also be avoided as they can harm the materials on the machine.

Warranty

The warranty period is 3 years and begins on the date of purchase. In order to file a warranty claim, you must present the sales receipt as well as complete a warranty card. Therefore, make sure you keep the sales receipt and the warranty card in safe place!

The manufacturer warrants the rectification of defects that can be traced back to flaws in material or workmanship. The manufacturer will choose to repair, replace or refund the money for the product. The warranty does not cover damages caused by an accident, an unexpected incident (e.g. lightning, water, fire, etc.), improper use, or

transport, disobeying the safety and maintenance instructions or other improper processing or modifications. The warranty period can only be extended if this is intended by a legal standard. In countries, where a (mandatory) warranty and/or a spare parts storage or replacement warranty is demanded by law, the minimum legal requirements apply.

After the warranty period has elapsed, you may still send the defective device to the service address to be repaired. Repairs made after the warranty period has elapsed, are subject to repair costs.
