IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS. KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE USE.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
• Keep plastic bags and other packaging elements out of the reach of children. They may be potentially dangerous.
• Do not plug in before making sure the voltage on the rating plate and that of your household are the same.
• VERY IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the connector with the cable cord and the switch in water or any other liquid.
• Don't allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Do not use it wrinkled or folded.
• Do not insert pins or sharp objects.
  Not suitable for children under 3 years.
• Do not use if it is wet.

• Do not use it with disabled people, children or people not sensitive to heat.

• It must not be used with animals.

• Use for extended periods of time in its maximum position may cause skin burns.
• Do not sleep with the pillow turned on. If you are going to use it for a long period of time, the on switch must be placed in the position 1 (minimum heat).
• Do not place the knob (1) or the power cable underneath or on top of the pillow when it is turned on.
• To storage the appliance, you must not leave objects on top of it, not even clothing.
• Examine it frequently to see whether there are any signs of damage or wear and tear. If such signs appear or if the apparatus has been misused, it must be checked by an Authorised Technician before further use.
• This apparatus is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• It must not be used by children unless the handset has been pre-adjusted by a responsible person, or the child has at least been told how to control it properly and safely.
• When using for the first time, you may notice a slight odour due to the synthetic materials.
• Checking the pillow outside with your hands must not be taken into account as this may give a misleading result of the heat emitted.
• The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be done by children without any supervision.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

• Open the zip and insert the connector (4) into the base (5). Connect the appliance to the mains and, first of all, place the On switch (2) in its maximum position (no. 4). Keep it in this position for some minutes. Then, if you wish, you may turn it down.
• When turning the appliance on, the indicators (3) will turn green for a few seconds at the same time you will listen a noisy next it will change to yellow. After a period of time the green and yellow lights will alternate continuously, which indicates connections and disconnections to keep the selected temperature.
• Notice the switch positions.

Position 1: Minimum heat.

Position 2-3: Medium heat.

Position 4: Maximum heat.

Position 0: Turned off.

• Place it on the desired part of your body, without folds or bends. It will be more effective when the pillow and its slip are in contact with your skin.

• WARNING: If the indicator lights turns to red color and the switch emits an acoustic signal, it can be due to different situations:

• If the appliance is switched on to the mains, the switch is activated but the connector is not connected to the base, it will make an acoustic signal with intervals of 1 second. Connect the connector to the base or be sure the connector is correctly inserted.

• If any of the main components are damaged, the acoustic signal will sound continuously.
• If any component fails, the acoustic signal will sound with a frequency of 1 second.

• This situation can be produced due to a not correct using, for example when it is folded, bent or totally covered). In this case the signal will sound with a frequency of 2 seconds. When this happens, switch off the unit from the mains, stretch it completely and switch it on again.

• If the red color is still showed, the appliance must be revised but if the indicator light disappears, the functioning of the appliance is correct.

AUTO OFF

• The pillow has a timer (AUTO OFF) that automatically disconnects it after 90 minutes have elapsed since starting to be used.
• If you wish to continue using it when such system has disconnected it, you must place the On switch (2) in the "0" position, wait a few seconds and then place the switch in the desired position.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Before cleaning, make sure that it is disconnected from the mains and left to cool.
• Always remove the connector from the heating pad before cleaning.
• The heating pad may be washed sporadically with water (not in a washing-machine) at no more than 40^ . Use a soft detergent. Bleach must not be used nor must it be dried in a dryer. It must not be ironed.
• Before using it again be sure the heating pad is totally dry.
• Never wash the inner cushion. If necessary, you can clean it with a dampened cloth or with a sponge slightly dampened.
• Do not use chemical or abrasive products, metallic scourers to clean the appliance.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
