Dear Customer,
Please read these operating instructions carefully and completely before operating the Patio Quartz Heater.
Please especially observe the safety notices on the following pages.
Keep these instructions for future reference and pass them on if you give the device away to someone else.
Before operating the device
Check the device for visible damage.
The power connection and the plug must not show any damages. If you detect damage, you have to have the device checked by a qualified technician prior to putting it into operation in order to avoid any danger.
General advice
The manufacturer has tested the functionality of the device and confirmed good working order for the device. However, you must inspect it for shipping damages. If you detect any damage that may have been occurred during shipping, you must contact your dealer immediately.
Please do not throw away any packing material in which the device was shipped to you. You may need this for storage, moving or if you ever need to send the device back to our service centre for repairs.
General safety regulations
The product you have purchased corresponds to the latest state of technology and the accepted safety regulations, still there are potential risks. Only operate the Patio Quartz Heater in an immaculate condition and observe these operating instructions!
Only use the device for its intended purpose. It is designed for home use and is not suitable for commercial application. The Warranty shall be rendered invalid by use for purposes other than those described herein.
Attention:
The Patio Quartz Heater is an electrical device, and certain basic safety standards must be applied at all times, as follows:
- Keep the unit away from water or other liquids to avoid electrical discharge.
- Never touch it with wet hands.
- Never touch your heater when in operation (risk of burns). Although the heating element has stopped glowing, it may still be hot and potentially dangerous.
Caso
- Never rotate the heating part of the appliance during operation. To change the angle of the heating part, we advise you to wait for 15 minutes after the appliance has been switched off.
- Never place anything on your heater's safety guard as this may cause overheating (e.g. towels).
- Never use your appliance to dry washing.

Switch off your appliance and check whether the power cord is disconnected from the outlet:

after use.
- in the event of malfunction.
- before cleaning it.
- when the appliance has fallen over and

when the heater is damaged.

Do not open the unit or attempt to change or repair it. Only authorized service personnel is allowed to undertake repairs. Unauthorized repairs may invalidate the warranty.
- Persons, who are not able to operate the device because of any physical, mental or motor disabilities may only use the device under the supervision or under the instructions of a responsible person.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This movable appliance is designed for use outdoors and indoors. This warranty will not apply to appliances used for professional usage. Although the heater may be used outdoors, the main plug must only be connected to the supply indoors.
- This device is not equipped with a thermal protection compared to the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons who are unable to leave the room independently, unless constant supervision is guaranteed.
- The installation and use of your appliance must comply with the appliance standards in your country.
- Do not place the appliance close to curtains and other combustible materials. Fire Hazard! Make sure that all other users are aware of the risks.
- If you have any doubts concerning installation possibilities for this heater, please consult a qualified electrician.
- Children, the elderly and the infirm may not always be aware of the danger involved in using electrical appliances. Never allow this appliance to be used without supervision.
- The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
- Place the unit on a solid surface to avoid movement or falling.
- Unplug the cord after every use and before cleaning.
- Never expose the device to bad weather (storm, rain, snow, thunderstorm etc.).
- Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the heater on automatically. A fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
- The producer takes intensive care to equip the product with the utmost safety and quality. In spite of these precautions it is indispensable that fundamental safety precautions are observed to avoid potential damage to people and objects. Before the first use and periodically thereafter check the plug; if it is damaged do not use. Take the appliance immediately to an authorized
service centre or to your dealer.
- Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
- Never operate your appliance if it has fallen over.
- This electrical appliance complies with technical safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards.
- The heater is provided with an anti-tilt switch which will switch off the heater if it is overturned. It will switch it on again automatically when it is restored to its upright position.
- When it is switched on, an electrical heating appliance reaches very high temperature libel to cause burns. Make sure that all other users are aware of the risks.
- WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack the necessary experience and/or skills unless these persons act under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety or they were instructed by such a person on how to use the appliance.
Voltage
This appliance is designed to run on 230 volts only. Check that the mains supply corresponds to that shown on the rating plate of the appliance. If the appliance is to be used in any country other than that of purchase, it should be checked by an approved Service Dealer. Standards can vary from country to country. This appliance must be earthed.
Caution: Before fitting or removing the appliance, ensure that the heater's power line supplying the heater is disconnected. Check that the power line is connected to a 30mA differential circuit breaker.

Your heater is supplied with:
A bag of accessories containing: 8-M5x6 screws, 4-M6x30 screws, 1x clamp and 1-M4x8 screw.
How to assemble
Before installing your appliance, you must disconnect the electrical supply at the circuit breaker.

Insert the lower post assembly (11) into the base assembly (16) and fix it then tightly by means of 4-M6X30 (15) screw. Insert the clamp (12) into the lower post (11) (fig. 1).

Join the lower post assembly (11) and the middle post (9) together with 3-M5x6 screws (10) (fig.2).

Join the upper post assembly (7) and the middle post (9) together with 3-M5x6 screws (8) (fig.3).

Join the heating element assembly (1) and the upper post assembly (7) together, then fix them tightly by rotating the knob (2) to the right. Make sure that the heating element (1) is tightly screwed and then put the power cord supply into the clamp (12) (fig. 4).

The heating element (1) can be adjust at 0^ - 45^ (fig. 5).
Operation
The appliance is switched on by means of the pull switch (5).

A slight vibration noticeable when the appliance is switched on will stop after a few seconds.
By means of the tube cover (6) you can adjust the height of the device from 1.60m to 1.90m

Maintenance
- Clean your appliance with a dry or a slight wet cloth. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet before cleaning.

The vacuum sealer system is designed to satisfy current electromagnetic compatibility requirements. If you suspect that operation interferes with the normal running of your television, radio or other electric appliances try to change the position of the sealer until the interference ceases, or connect the unit to another outlet.
Disposal

Dispose of the packaging in the proper manner.
If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product please note that waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist.
Check with your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.

For the Case Patio Quartz Heater we grant a
Guarantee of 2 years
(This warranty will not apply to appliances used for professional usage more than 2 hours a day).
For this device we grant a guarantee of 24 months, starting with the date of sale regarding defects due to faulty manufacture or material. Your legal warranty claims according to §439 ff. BGB-E are not affected by this. This guarantee does not accept defects due to inappropriate treatment or use as well as defects which do not influence the function or the value of the vacuum sealer system essentially. Further on we do not grant a guarantee for wear parts or damage in transit as well as for defects due to repairs which have not been effected by us.
In case of legitimate claims we will decide whether to repair the device or to send you a new one.
Apparent defects have to be indicated within 14 days after delivery. Additional claims will not be accepted.
In order to assert your warranty claims please contact us before sending the device together with the sales slip.

Repairs beyond any guarantee claim will be charged as low as possible.
