SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS General Information

• Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
• Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
• In case of damage caused by failure of not living up to this manual the warranty will decay immediately. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to not living up the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Always remove the power cord and let it cool: Before moving the unit; Before the unit is stored; Before you go mounting or dismantle parts; Before cleaning or maintenance work; After use.
• Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified service centre.
• Qualified service center: after-sales service of the manufacturer/importer, which is qualified to carry out repair to avoid any kind of danger. In case of problems please return the appliance to this service.

Electricity and heat

• Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage is the same and the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
• Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.

• Regularly check the power cord for damage.

• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

• To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
• Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam.
• Always remove the plug from the plug socket before you move the appliance.
• The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
• To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
• To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or housing in water or other liquid.
• Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and do not use it again.
• Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as a stove or oven.

Using the appliance

• The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.

• Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas away from water.

• Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!

• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.

• Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall off.

• Use the appliance on a flat, dry and heat resistance surface, not on varnished furniture.

• Place the appliance at least 5cm of the wall or flammable objects (such as curtains, candles or towels).

• Place the appliance on a stable, level surface and not close to hot objects or open flames (e.g. hotplates).

• Disconnect the mains plug: after each time operating; if there is any interference with operation; before cleaning.

• Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.

• Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or plug show signs of damage, if the appliance has fallen on the floor or has other parts been damage. In such cases take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair is necessary.

• Children are unable to recognize the hazards associated with incorrect handling of electrical appliances. Therefore, children should never use electric household appliances unsupervised.

• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.

• Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
  It is necessary to keep this appliance clean because it is in direct contact with food.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: Staff kitchen areas in shop, offices and other working environment; Farm houses; By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; Bed and breakfast type environments.
  Caution:

The toasting surfaces as well as the sides and top of the appliance get very hot. Avoid any contact. Danger of burning! Only hold by the handle. The appliance must always be

positioned horizontally during use.

• Make sure that there is enough ventilation around the raclette.
• The raclette should not be placed on an untreated wood surface. Place the raclette on a heat resistant surface.
  Always remember to add some grease to the grill plate + mini pans before use.

GRILL

• Place the raclette in the middle of the table.
  Cut the meat into small pieces. You thus reduce the cooking time. Chop the crude meat and serve it on a plate or a wooden board. Your guests can then choose the quantity of meat they wish to grill it on the grill plate.
• Turn on the unit by "ON/OFF" switch for cooking.
  You can grill toasts in the raclette pans, fry eggs of potatoes and many other things.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning starts.
• Only clean when the appliance has completely cooled down.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water.
• All surfaces can be cleaned with a clean damp cloth.
  All the pans can be washed in water. If stains still appear, it is recommended to use soap.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils to clean the raclette.
• Clean inside with a clean damp cloth.
• Do not clean any parts in dishwasher.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP

An electronic appliance should, when it is no longer capable of functioning be disposed with least possible environmental damage. The appliance should be disposed according to the local regulations in your municipality; in most cases you can discharge the appliance at your local recycling center.

Defects which arise due to improper handling of the device and malfunctions due to interventions and repairs by third parties or the fitting of non-original parts are not covered by this guarantee. Always keep your receipt, without the receipt you can't claim any form of warranty. Damage caused by not following the instruction manual, will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages then we will not be liable. Neither can we hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use if the instruction manual is not properly executed. Damage to accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
