Warranty

A warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months apply to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.

Warranty applies exclusively to failures due to defective material or workmanship. An original sale slip with indication of date of sale must be presented in case of claiming for the warranty rights.

Warranty does not cover unprofessional use such as device overload, violent use, damage caused by third party or foreign materials, failure to comply with operations and assembly manual, and normal wear and tear.

  • Keep your workplace clean and tidy. A messy workplace and worktable invites accidents and injuries.

  • Do not let strangers close to the machine. Visitors, viewers, children, the sick and the infirm persons should be kept at a safe distance from the workplace.
    Make provision for the tools storage. The machines not in current use should be kept in a dry place, elevated or locked where practicable so that any access to them is prevented
  • Always use a correct tool for the job to be done. E.g. avoid using small tools and accessories for work that should be actually done with a heavy tool. Use the tools only for the purposes they were designed for. Do not overload the unit
  • Mind the supply cable. Do not pull it. Do not use it to unplug. Keep the power cable off the reach of any source of heat, oil and sharp edges.
  • Avoid unintentional switching on. Before plugging in, make sure to see that the on the switch, the unit is off.
  • Use only special extension cables when working outdoors. Special extension cables are needed for the outdoor use, marked in a corresponding way.

Initial Operation Safety Instructions

  • Always unplug the unit before any adjustment and maintenance.
    Children are not allowed to use the machine.
  • After removing the packaging, check the unit to see whether all its parts are in perfect condition.

Always wear goggles or eye protection and ear protectors. Never aim at your body or somebody else's or animals with the compressed air stream . Foreign objects may acquire considerable speed and cause serious injuries.

Always use devices of electrical shock protection

Do not use the compressor in the vicinity of water or in wet conditions.

  • Unplug the compressor. Remove the pressure from the air tank before any repairs, revisions, maintenance cleaning or replacement of parts

If the compressor is used for jobs to be done outdoors, only the outdoor-specific extension electrical cables designated accordingly should be used. Notice: always use a cable of sufficient cross-section (min. 1,5^2 mm), with cables longer than 10 m; running-up difficulties may be experienced when the outdoor temperatures are bad.

Work considerably, use common sense. Do not use the compressor when you feel tired. The compressor should never be used when you are under the effect of alcohol, drugs or medicals that cause fatigue.

Check of structural parts for defects and leakage

If any protection equipment, device or other structural parts were repaired after damage, the compressor should be checked before it is restarted to make sure that safe operation is secured. Check alignment of any moving parts, lines, pressure reducing valves, pneumatic connections and any other parts critical for a regular operation. Any parts found to be defective should be forwarded to a customer service for repair or replacement as described in the manual

Solvents, such as petrol, thinners, diesel oil or other substances containing alcohol may damage plastic parts of the compressor. Therefore, never use the substances for cleaning the parts and use soapsuds of necessary or other suitable liquids.

Always use original spare parts

Using spare parts by other manufactures will make the warranty void and it also may cause faults in the compressor function. Original spare parts may be obtained from contractual dealers.

  • Unless otherwise stated in this manual, the protection parts and safety devices have to be repaired or replaced at an authorised servicing centre
  • Have the damaged switches replaced at an authorised servicing centre.
  • This unit complies with all the safety regulations. Repairs should not be done unless by qualified electricians at an authorised servicing centres and only genuine spare parts should be used. Non-observance results in a risk of injury.

Emergency Action

Apply the first aid adequate to the injury and get qualified medical assistance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from more accidents and calm him/her down.

For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance with DIN 13164, a workplace has to be fitted with a first-aid kit. It is essential to replace any used material in the first-aid kit immediately after it has been used. If you seek help, state the following pieces of information:

  1. Accident site
  2. Accident type
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Injury type(s)

Assigned Use

For blowing, light work with compressed air and for modelling, air brush treatment of walls, airbrush painting and varnishing, tyres filling etc.

A faulty cable or plug may cause life-hazardous electrical shock.

Always have the faulty cables and plugs repaired by a specialist. Always use the unit on a connection equipped with faulty current protections switch (FI).

Operate only with the FI switch.

Insufficient local lighting

Insufficient local lighting is a high safety hazard.

Always provide for sufficient lighting when working with the unit.

Disposal

Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms on the device or packaging.

Description of the pictograms is given in "Identification" chapter.

Disposal of transport packaging

Packaging protects the device against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can therefore be recycled.

Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves resources and costs for packaging disposal.

Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous for children. Risk of suffocation! Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose as soon as possible.

Operator Requirement

The operator shall read the instruction manual carefully before using the unit.

Qualification

No special qualification is required for use of the unit except for detailed direction by a professional.

Minimum Age

Only persons above 16 years of age are allowed to work with the unit.

Exempted from the provision is the use of the juvenile trainees if they work in the course of their professional training with an aim to obtain the skill under trainer supervision.

Training

Use of the unit requires adequate lesson by a professional or the use of the manual only.

Special training is not required.

Transportation and Storage

  • For long-time storage, the unit should be cleaned thoroughly and put on storage in the way preventing admission of unauthorised persons.
  • The compressor should be never stored or transported lying or under the pressure!
  • The pressure in the air tank may be decreased at cooling the compressed air.

Assembly/Initial operation

If the compressor delivered without wheels they should be mounted on with a screwdriver - see Fig. 4 The sequence of screws, nuts and washers is shown in Fig. 4. It is also possible to screw a rubber bottom end on. Fixing material - screws, nuts etc. is included in the delivery.

Working pressure control

It is easy to set up the pressure. Turn the rotary knob (2) in direction, the pressure will increase, It will decrease of the knob is turn in - direction. The pressure may be fixed tightening the counter-ring.
- There is a safety valve on the compressor, by which the pressure may be decreased in case of overpressure. The pressure in the air tank may be decreased pulling the valve ring (10).

CAUTION:

Take care about required quantity to be supplied by your pneumatic tool the pressure only is not decisive for perfect or sufficient operation. Switching on the compressor after long shutdown without using it is normal!

Any repairs, if necessary should be done by skilled authorised personnel only.

Unplug before any work any work on the unit. Before shutting down the compressor for a longer time, it is essential to drop some oil on the air filter liner to ensure lubrication for restart.

Check all the screws for tightness.

Drain the condensate from the air tank regularly (on monthly basis as a minimum). Nonperformance may result in expiry of the warranty on rusting, otherwise the compressor is maintenance-free.

(The condensate may acquire brownish colour owing to the tint of the boiler).

  2. Open the drain valve (4/9) at a low pressure in the air tank (1 bar max) and drain the condensate. (Use a proper container)
  3. Close the valve.

Overloading protection:

If the compressor gets overloaded by a technical defect or in result of continuous, the power supply will be interrupted by a thermal cutout. If a situation like that arises, it is advised to unplug the compressor and let it cool down for about 5 minutes. If the compressor does not start up again after some time, let the compressor cool down for another 3 minutes.

- Pressure switch :

The compressor is fitted with an automatic pressure switch that will switch the unit off when the upper operating pressure is reached. Once the demand of air arises again, it will switch on automatically. Switching-on pressure 6 bars, maximum pressure. 8 bars.

Air filter

The air filter cloth should be cleaned from time to time. To do that, remove the screw from the air filter cover (Fig. 3) and pull out the foam filter. That may be cleaned with warm soapsuds. Let the foam filter dry and put it back at place. Then, attach the air filter cover again
