INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing our product: you have chosen an efficient appliance, able to provide high-level performance.
The Manufacturer shall not be responsible for any damage resulting to or caused by its appliances by reason of improper use or failure to properly comply with instructions for use.
Operating instructions may refer to different models: differences will be specifically pointed out.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read carefully all the warnings in this user manual as these instructions contain important safety information for the installation, use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep this user manual in a safe place for future reference.
- Take the machine out of the packaging. Check appliance and supplied accessories for proper functioning before use. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance before consulting with a qualified technician.
- Packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, nails, etc.) must not be left within reach of children as they are potential sources of danger.
Make sure to use the correct line voltage before connecting the appliance to power supply. - Please contact a qualified electrician to have the wall socket replaced if the plug does not fit. Ask the electrician to check that the cord in use is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance. It is not generally advisable to use adaptors, multiple sockets, or extension cords. If necessary, use simple / multiple adaptors and extension cords complying with current safety standards only, and ensure they not to exceed the current capacity of the adaptor and / or the extension cord in use, or the maximum power of the multiple adaptor.
The use of any electrical appliance requires the full compliance with the following recommendations. Users must:
not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands;
not use the appliance with bare feet;
not pull on the power cord or the appliance to pull the plug out of the mains socket;
not leave the appliance exposed to elements (rain, sun, etc.);
not allow children or disabled persons to use the appliance without surveillance.
- Disconnect the appliance from mains socket before any cleaning or maintenance operation by removing the plug from the socket or by switching off the electrical installation.
In case of faults or improper functioning, shut off the appliance. Do not tamper with the appliance. Repairs must only be carried out by service centres authorized by the manufacturer. Always insist on genuine spare parts.
Non-compliance with the aforementioned warnings may compromise safety and cause the appliance to become dangerous.
- Remove the plug from the mains socket and cut off the cord to make the appliance inoperable if no longer used. We also recommend to render harmless any part that could be dangerous, especially for children, who may play with the appliance or its parts.
Installation must be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Incorrect installation may cause damage to persons, animals and property, for which the manufacturer shall not be held responsible.
- Unwind the electrical cord to full length and operate the appliance according to section "Recommendations" in this manual in order to prevent dangerous overheating.
- Never pass the cord over sharp corners edges, or very hot objects, and keep it away from boiling oil.
Always disconnect the appliance from mains power when not in use. Remove the plug from the mains socket when the appliance is not in use.
In case of damage, cord replacement must only be carried out by service centres authorized by the manufacturer as specialized tools are required. - Keep the appliance at least 60~cm from washbasins, taps, flames and hot surfaces.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The appliance is exclusively designed and must only be used to make espresso coffee with "Uso Capsule System" capsules.
Any other use shall be held improper and potentially dangerous.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any damage due to improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
- Check the appliance for any possible damage at every use.
The appliance must not be operated in case of evident cracks or damages on the electrical plug and sheath.
In case of damage, promptly unplug the appliance from mains socket and refer to an authorized centre for maintenance and repair service.
This device is not designed for persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who lack the required experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when operating.
- The electrical safety of this appliance can only be granted if properly connected to efficient earthing systems, as set forth by current safety standards. Safety requirements must be verified and inspected by qualified technicians, only.
- Use an earthed plug to connect the appliance to the electrical installation.
For your personal safety, an RCD with operating current not exceeding 30mA must be used to power the appliance.
- Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on the power cord.
- Do not use the cable to carry and / or pull the appliance.
Never immerse the appliance in water during the cleaning procedure.
- Surfaces get hot during use.
- Set the appliance on a flat, even, and stable surface.
- Place the appliance in a safe place in order
to prevent any tilting and possible injury.
- Do not use the appliance in the open air. If filled with water, the appliance must not be left in areas with temperatures lower or equivalent to 5^ C.
- Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces or near open flames, as this will cause damages.
- Empty water tank if the appliance is not being used for an extended period of time.
Please check for hot liquid splashes during delivery. Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance right after use. Burn hazard.
Please contact the authorized service centre in case of problems with the appliance.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance.
Any repairs carried out by unauthorised personnel will automatically void your warranty, even if not yet expired.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and likewise settings, such as:
- dining areas in shops, offices and other workplace settings;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other accommodations;
B&Bs.

MACHINE CARE
Turn off all the switches and unplug the appliance, and empty the tank after use.

Store the appliance in a dry place, out of the reach of children.
-
Protect the appliance from dust and dirt.
USE
Power Cord
Fit the power cord on the bottom of the machine based on its distance from the outlet.
Filling the tank (A)
- Remove the tank (5) by turning it outwards and lifting it upwards.
- Fill the tank with water until maximum level.
- Reinstall the tank (5) by slightly turning and leaning it on the water valve. Press the top part of the appliance until you hear a click. Make sure that the tank is securely fastened in order to prevent water spill.
ALWAYS disconnect the plug from the electrical socket before filling the tank.
Use only cold tap water to fill the water tank. Use fresh water, only. Do not use sparkling mineral water or other fluids.
Always ensure that the tank is filled with water. Running the water pump with no water will cause the pump to overheat.
Starting/Warming up (B)
- Fill the tank with water until maximum level.
- Connect the plug to the socket.
- Press the button to switch the appliance on (8).
- Buttons flash when the machine heats up.
- When the correct temperature is reached, the temperature light illuminates.
Rinsing the appliance/inner circuits
Rinse the appliance when using for the first time, or in case it has not been used for a long time. This quick procedure ensures all inner circuits are rinsed.
- Wash the tank (5) using a hard brush, water and washing-up liquid, then clean it thoroughly, dry it and put it back to place.
- Fill the tank with water until maximum level.
- Press the button to switch the appliance on
(8).
- Remove grid (6).
- With the appliance heated up, and without inserting any capsule, press the button (9) and supply water for 10 seconds, then press the button again to stop. Repeat this procedure 2 or 3 times. Place a cup to collect water dispensed.
Preparing coffee/tea (C)

Use "Uno Capsule System" capsules, only.

Make sure the water in the tank is enough (5). Do not use the appliance without it in the tank (5).
- Place a cup on the grid (6) and centre it under the dispenser nozzle (2).
- Slowly lift the loading lever back, until it stops (3).
- Put the capsule into the special compartment (4) and place its outer edges in the guides.
- Fully lower the lever (3).
- Push dispensing button (9). The machine automatically stops dispensing beverages after 30 seconds. Push the button again to stop it beforehand (9).
- Once completed the supply, slowly lift the lever back (3) until it stops, and remove the used capsule.

Both large and small cups can be used with the appliance. When using small, lower drip grid (6) and place cup. For lar-cups, close drip grid (6) against the capsu-ntainer and snap cup into place.

Use thick, preheated cups when preparing Espresso: this will keep your coffee for longer.
Emptying capsule container (D)
- Slightly lift the drip tray up (7) and pull it out of the appliance.
- Remove the container from the tray, empty it and rinse it.
- Clean the tray (7) and the grid (6) from water and coffee residues.
- Reassemble all the components and put the drip tray back in place, together with the con
tainer (7).
Energy Saving
The unit enters standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity.
To turn it on, press the button (9).
MAINTENANCE
Daily Cleaning
Press the button (9) without inserting any capsule and supply water for 10 seconds, then press the button again to stop. Place a cup to collect the water dispensed.
Cleaning the appliance (E)
- Use a wet cloth to clean the unit (1); do not use abrasive detergents.

After using the appliance:
-
Slightly lift the drip tray up (7) slightly and pull it out of the appliance.
- Wash the components (6) with lukewarm water and a normal washing-up liquid.
- Empty the water from the tank (5), rinse it and dry it.

Do not use a dishwasher to clean the components (6) or the tank (5).
- Make sure the appliance and its components are completely dry before plugging the appliance back in.

Before this cleaning procedure, ALWAYS unplug the appliance from the mains so
cket.

Never immerse the unit of the appliance
(1) in water or other liquids nor wash it in
a dishwasher.

Never dry any part of the appliance
in conventional and/or microwave
ovens.
Dscaling (F)
Lime scale built-up is a natural consequence of appliance use. Descaling must be performed once every 4 weeks; if the water is very hard, descaling is needed more often. Descaling frequency may be reduced with soft waters. To descale your appliance, use any commercially available non-toxic descaling product.
- Switch the appliance off.
- Remove the tank and empty it.
- Fill the tank with the descending solution and follow the instructions on the product package.
- Remove the grid.
- Switch the appliance on.
- Press the button (9) without inserting any capsule and supply water for 10 seconds, then press the button again to stop. Place a cup to collect the water dispensed.
- Switch the appliance off.
- Leave the descending solution in for about 10-15 minutes, with the appliance off.
- Repeat the procedure from point 5 to 7 until there is no more descending solution in the tank.

Remove the water tank, rinse it thoroughly and fill it again with fresh drinkable water.

Switch the appliance on.
- Press the button (9) without inserting any capsule and supply water for 10 seconds, then press the button again to stop. Repeat the procedure until the tank is emptied. Place a cup to collect the water dispensed.
- When the tank is empty, switch the appliance off.
- Fill the water tank again and repeat the procedure from point 12.
- When the second rinsing cycle is complete, fill up the tank again. The appliance will now be ready for use.
Long periods without using the appliance
- If the appliance is not used for longer periods of time, switch it off and unplug it from the wall.
- Store the appliance in a dry place, away from dust and out of the reach of children.
- It is recommended to store the appliance in its original packaging.
- Temperatures in the storage area should not be lower than 5^ , in order to avoid any damage to the inner parts of the appliance due to water freezing.
