Frequently Asked Questions - TTE24D1814K TOKAI

How to perform automatic search for TNT channels on the TOKAI TTE-24D1814K?
Go to the Configuration menu then Channel Search and start the automatic search. The TV will scan all available TNT frequencies and store the received channels. Make sure the antenna or antenna cable is properly connected to the device's IEC socket.
How to connect a Blu-ray player, an Internet box, or a game console to the TTE-24D1814K?
Use an HDMI cable to connect the external device to one of the HDMI ports located at the back or side of the TV. Then press the Source (or AV) button on the remote control to select the corresponding HDMI input.
How to play photos, videos, or music from a USB stick?
Insert your USB stick into the TV's USB port. Press the Source button and select USB. The multimedia browser will open, allowing you to browse the files. Common formats (JPEG, MP3, MP4, AVI) are generally supported.
The picture is blurry or of poor quality, how to improve it?
First, check the antenna signal quality via the Signal Information menu. If the signal is weak, reposition your antenna or use an amplifier. Then adjust the brightness, contrast, and sharpness in the Image menu to get a display suited to your room.
There is no sound, what should I do?
Check that the TV is not in Mute mode (Mute button on the remote control). Also check the volume level. If the sound is missing only on an external input (HDMI, AV), make sure the cable is properly connected and that the external source is not muted itself.
The remote control is not responding anymore, how to troubleshoot it?
Replace the batteries (usually AAA format) ensuring the correct polarity. Clean the infrared lens on the front of the remote with a dry cloth. Point the remote directly at the TV's IR sensor without any obstacles. If the problem persists, a compatible replacement remote control for TTE-24D1814K is available from spare parts dealers.
How to reset the TOKAI TTE-24D1814K to factory settings?

The TV does not turn on, what should be checked?
Make sure the power cord is properly plugged into a working wall socket. Check that the power button on the device panel is not turned off. If the standby light is red, press the Power button on the remote control or on the TV itself.
Can headphones be connected to the TOKAI TTE-24D1814K?
If the TV has a 3.5 mm jack (headphone output), connect a standard wired headphone to it. Connecting headphones generally disables the built-in speakers. Check for this jack on the side or back panel of the device.

Press the SUBT or Subtitles button on the remote control while watching a TNT channel. You can also permanently enable subtitles via the Configuration > Accessibility menu. This function depends on the availability of subtitles on the broadcast channel.
How to change the channel order or remove unwanted channels?
Enter the Channels or Channel List menu. Depending on the TV menu, an Organize or Edit option allows you to move, rename or delete channels. This operation is done channel by channel from the menu interface.
What antenna should be used with this TV?
The TOKAI TTE-24D1814K is equipped with an integrated HD TNT tuner. An outdoor antenna directed towards the local transmitter is recommended for optimal reception. An indoor antenna may suffice if you are close to a transmitter. The antenna socket is IEC 9.52 mm type.

Precaution on battery use

Improper use of batteries can result in leakage of chemicals and/or explosion. Be sure to follow the instructions below :

Place batteries with their terminals corresponding to the (+) and (-) indications.

Different types of batteries have different characteristics. Do not mix batteries of different types.

Do not mix old and new batteries. Mixing old and new batteries can shorten the life of new batteries and/or cause old batteries to leak chemicals.

Remove batteries as soon as they are non-operable. Chemicals that leak from batteries can cause a rash.

If chemical leakage is found, wipe with a cloth.

The batteries (battery pack of batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON BATTERIES :

Please help to protect the environment. It is recommended to dispose of old batteries in collection centers specially designed for that.
