Safety instructions
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance. Do not use the appliance if the filter/grater attachment is damaged.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsibly for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the appliance from such a person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
Only allow repairs to the appliance to be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service; this particularly applies to replacing a damaged connecting cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. They will also invalidate the guarantee.
Repairs to the appliance during the guarantee period may only be carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer as the guarantee will otherwise be invalidated in the event of damage or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
Only use spare parts from the manufacturer or spare parts that are specifically recommended by the manufacturer. The guarantee will otherwise be invalidated.
DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Do not open the housing of the ap- pliance. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/ or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the drive unit, mains lead or mains plug in water or other liquids.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket, if you are not using the appliance, if a malfunction occurs during operation, before you clean the appliance.
Risk of suffocation!
Never play with packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

WARNING
Do not operate the appliance for longer than 1 minute at a time. To avoid overheating and damage to the motor, wait at least 1 minute before switching on the appliance again.
Do not operate the appliance without the lid.
Remove any stones from the fruit before extracting the juice.
Risk of injury from rotating parts!
Switch off the appliance and pull the plug out of the mains socket before changing accessories.
Only use the pusher supplied to push the fruit and vegetables into the feed shaft.
Loosen the locking arm only when the appliance has been switched off and the motor has stopped.
Never put your fingers or other objects into the feed shaft.
Risk of injury from sharp parts!
Do not touch the grater surface.
CAUTION
Do not pull the connecting cable to remove the plug from the mains socket.
Never carry, lift or move the drive unit with the mains cable.
To avoid blocking the motor, do not apply too much pressure to the pusher during juice extraction.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance.
Requirements for the place of use
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installation location must satisfy the following requirements:
Put the appliance on a level, horizontal and dry working surface.
Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. The data must be correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.
Always unwind the mains cable completely before connecting the appliance to the mains socket.
Ensure that the mains lead is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.
The mains cable must not pulled tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
Route the cable to prevent risk of trip- ping.
The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory parts and the user manual from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the appliance. If possible, keep the original packaging during the guarantee period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in the event of a guarantee claim. Transport damage will invalidate the guarantee.
Check the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged contents to your supplier immediately.
Before using for the first time
Clean the appliance and the accessories as described in the section Cleaning and care.

Continuous operation
Operation and use
Prior to use
Position the collecting bowl on the drive unit so that the juice spout slides into the corresponding recess in the drive unit. (image A)
Position the filter and filter/grater attachment on the carrier of the drive unit so that the tongue on the underside of the filter/grater attachment slides into the corresponding grooves in the carrier.
Push in the filter/grater attachment until it snaps in.
Tilt the pulp container slightly forwards and push the lower end under the pouring lip (image C).
Then press the lower end of the pulp container against the drive unit.
Position the lid on the collecting bowl so that the pulp container is covered.
Insert the pusher into the feed shaft.
Raise the locking arm until it snaps in on both sides (image D).
Place the juice jug under the juice spout.
Make sure that the speed controller is at the position.
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
Instructions
The appliance is not suitable for processing fruit and vegetables containing starch (e.g. bananas).
Only process fresh fruit and vegetables because they contain more juice.
If the peel of the fruit is thick and hard, remove it before juice extraction.
In order to extract as much juice as possible, press the pusher down slowly.
Switching on and off Setting the speed
Turn the speed controller (9) clock- wise to switch on the appliance. The speed is continuously variable.
To switch off the appliance, turn the speed controller (9) anticlockwise to the position.
Juice extraction
Remove the lid from the juice jug and put this under the juice spout (14).
If necessary, cut the fruit or vegeta- bles to be processed into pieces to fit the feed shaft.
Switch on the appliance.
Remove the pusher.
Put the fruit to be processed into the feed shaft.
insert the pusher into the feed shaft and press it it downwards lightly.
NOTE
Pay attention to the filling level of the juice jug. To prevent overflowing, empty the juice jug at appropriate intervals.
Emptying the pulp container
To remove the pulp container for emptying, proceed as follows:
Switch off the appliance and wait until the motor stops completely.
Pull the lower end of the pulp container outwards and remove the pulp container.
NOTE
Insert the pulp container as described in the section Prior to use before continuing with juice extraction.
After using
Switch off the appliance and wait until the motor stops completely.
Remove the mains plug.
Loosen the locking arm and pull it downwards.
Remove the pusher and lid.
Pull out the filter and grater attachment.
Remove the collecting bowl and pulp container.
Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Cleaning and care
Before beginning work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section on safety!
Cleaning
Wipe the outside of the drive unit with a damp cloth.
All other parts can be cleaned in a warm washing-up liquid solution using a soft sponge.
Clean the filter and grater attachment using the brush supplied.
Dried and caked food residues can be removed more easily if you allow them to soak in warm washing-up liquid solution for 10 minutes before cleaning.
NOTE
Strongly coloured foods can discolour the plastic parts. Rub the affected parts with a little vegetable oil before cleaning.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, clean it as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Store the appliance and all accessory parts in a dry, clean and frost-free place where it is protected from direct sunlight and out of the reach of children.
Troubleshooting
The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:
