How do I descale my Team WK 60 kettle?
Use a commercial descaling product following the instructions on the package. You can also use diluted white vinegar. After descaling, rinse several times with clear water.
What should I do if the kettle does not turn on?
Check that the kettle is correctly placed on its base and that the switch is pressed to position I. If the base indicator is on but the kettle indicator is not, reposition the kettle. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
Can I heat water a second time without waiting?
Yes, but the water must be sufficiently cooled for the safety system to allow a new cycle. If the kettle has shut off automatically, simply push the switch to position I without going back to 0.
How do I clean the scale filter?
Remove the filter by pushing it inward, then brush it or let it soak in a descaling product. Always replace the filter before use.

How to clean the exterior of the kettle?
Use a soft damp cloth. Never use abrasive products and never immerse the kettle in water.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. Then repeat the process at least 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

  • Remove the jug from the power base before filling.
  • For reasons of cleanliness the appliance should be boiled out with clear water once or twice before first use.
  • Never use less than the minimum amount of water and never use more than the maximum amount to avoid scalding by boiling water spurting out. Therefore have the lid always closed when the kettle is in operation.
  • Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
  • For instant reboiling it may be necessary to wait up to 30 seconds for the auto-switch to reset.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

  • This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on without water.
  • In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then pour in sufficient cold water to cover the element. This will reset the safety device.
    • The kettle may then be used as normal.

CLEANING AND DESCALING

  • Before attempting any cleaning operation make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
  • To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly. On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.
  • Do not allow heavy scale deposits to build up on the element. There are various preparations available that remove scale without damaging your jug kettle.
  • Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles.

FILTER

  • Your appliance is provided with a filter. When you want to boil water, settle the filter first.
    • Filter should be rinsed clean regularly.
