UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded: blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).
BEFORE USE
- Remove all packaging from the fondue including the items inside the fondue.
- Before you use the fondue for the first time, we recommend that you wipe the bowl and the accessories with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly -this will remove any residue from the manufacturing process.
HOW TO USE THE FONDUE
Note : This appliance should be used for oil fondue. Only use oil - do not place cheese in the bowl!
- Add the required amount of oil to the bowl. When you fill your appliance, ensure that the oil level is always between both points marked inside the bowl.
- We recommend that you use a liquid oil which is suitable for fondue. Check the label on the bottle.
If you wish to use a solid fat - set the temperature control to the lowest setting and slowly add the fat in small pieces. When the fat has melted, adjust the temperature control to the desired temperature. Warning : failure to observe this will damage your fondue and will invalidate your warranty.
- Place the fondue ring on the top of the bowl.
- Plug the fondue to the power supply.
- Set the temperature dial to 150^ and plug in the appliance.
• The food for the fondue should be cut into small equal sized pieces.
- Wait until the oil has reached the desired temperature.
- Using the colour coded fondue forks, skewer the food and place the fork carefully into the oil to avoid splashes.
- Rest the fondue forks in the slots of the ring and wait until the food is cooked.
• You may wish to have a range of savoury sauces to accompany your fondue.
• Always unplug the fondue after use.
CLEANING
- Unplug the fondue.
- Wait until the unit is completely cool before cleaning.
- Do not use strong detergents or abrasive clothes/liquid, as this will damage the fondue.
- Wipe the base only with a slightly moistened cloth.
- When changing the oil - take this opportunity to clean the bowl. Pour the oil from the bowl and dry the interior of the bowl with absorbent paper. Then wipe the interior of the bowl in warm soapy water.
- Change the oil regularly. Pour out the old oil from the bowl and dispose of oil thoughtfully.
- Clean the bowl regularly. This will prolong the life of your fondue.

- Wait until the fondue is completely cool before storing.
- The unit can be stored with the oil inside.
FOR BEST RESULTS
- Always dry food well before frying. Very 'wet' food can cause the oil to 'foam' and may overflow.
- Many types of food may need to be coated before frying - typical coatings are better or breadcrumbs.
• Always wait until the fondue has reached the desired temperature before adding the food. - Do not overfill the bowl.
