Frequently Asked Questions - ABC25AN Perel

How to use the Perel ABC25AN jumper cables?
First connect the red cable (+) to the positive terminal of the discharged battery, then to the positive terminal of the booster battery. Then connect the black cable (-) to the negative terminal of the booster battery, then to a metal ground on the disabled vehicle (engine block), away from the battery. Start the booster vehicle, then the disabled vehicle. Disconnect in reverse order.
How to connect the cables on a vehicle with positive ground?
In this case, reverse the polarity: first connect the black cable (-) to the negative terminal of the discharged battery, then to the negative terminal of the booster battery. Then connect the red cable (+) to the positive terminal of the booster battery, then to the engine block of the disabled vehicle (away from the battery).
What safety precautions should I take?
Always wear eye protection. Avoid any flame or spark near the battery. Do not smoke. Ensure that the vehicles are not touching and both electrical systems are off. Check that the batteries have the same voltage (12 V or 24 V). Use a damp cloth on the vent caps.
What is the maximum capacity of the ABC25AN cable?
The cable supports a maximum current of 350 A, corresponding to a 25 mm² section. It is suitable for petrol engines up to 5500 cc or diesel up to 3000 cc.
Is the Perel ABC25AN cable suitable for diesel engines?
Yes, it is suitable for diesel engines up to 3000 cc. For petrol engines, it is suitable up to 5500 cc.
What to do if the engine does not start after several attempts?

How to maintain the jumper cables?
After use, clean the clamps with a dry cloth to remove any corrosion or dirt. Store the cables in the provided bag, in a dry place away from humidity.
What is the length of the ABC25AN cable?

Can I use this cable for 24 V batteries?
Yes, the cable is compatible with 12 V and 24 V batteries. Ensure that both batteries have the same voltage.
What does the warranty of the Perel ABC25AN cover?
