Ziggy IMPORTANT Make sure that the receiver is placed properly on the hook when the tele- phone is not in use. Always treat the unit gently. Do not place it in a damp or dusty environment and do not expose it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Clean the unit with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning products or solvents. BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS

The TOPCOM ZIGGY features the numerical buttons from 0 to 9, the special buttons and and some function keys. REDIAL BUTTON If the number you dialled is busy or you want to call again the last number dialled, press the hook switch and release it for a new dial tone. Press the REDIAL button . The last number dialled will automatically be redialled. HOLD BUTTON The HOLD button enables you to place a conversation on hold. The conversation can be resumed by pressing and releasing the switch. If the handset lies in its cradle, simply lift the handset to resume the conversation on hold. If the line is on hold, the hold indicator will light up. MUTE BUTTON The MUTE button is useful when you do not want to be heard by the other party. Push the MUTE button and hold it. You can still hear the other party. Release the mute button to resume the conversation.

The FLASH button R enables you to put through a conversation by means of an interruption of the line, provided that the telephone is connected to a PABX switchboard. Ziggy

Ziggy INSTALLATION The TOPCOM ZIGGY fashion phone is desk or wall mountable. The TOPCOM ZIGGY is equipped with a modular plug. Simply insert the mod- ular plug into the telephone wall plate.

When you pick up the receiver, the line indicator will light up. Now, you can dial the desired telephone number, and in case of a good connection you can start your conversation. To end the conversation, put the receiver back on the cradle. The line indicator will go out.21 WARRANTY The TOPCOM ZIGGY has been manufactured and tested in order to offer you complete satisfaction. TOPCOM secures this device against material and con- struction defects for a period of 12 months counting from the date the first user purchased it. The warranty is only valid if the guarantee card has been filled in duely, dated and signed. The guarantee card has to be sent back within 10 days after the purchase date to TOPCOM. The warranty expires completely if people other than our technical personnel have repaired or modified the machine, or in case of improper maintenance. If you find any defects in the operation, please return the unit in its original packing, together with the guarantee card and a photocopy of your purchase invoice, to the TOPCOM sales department. Set the ringer switch in the HI or LO position (high or low).

TONE AND PULSE DIALLING

If your phone is equipped with a Touch Tone dialling system, set theTone/Pulse selector switch in the Tone position. If you have a rotary diallingsystem, set the selector switch to the Pulse position.If you are unsure which system you have, set the selector switch in the Toneposition. Lift the handset.
