These should be free to move at all times. Never continue to use a product that is not structurally sound.

5 TO ADAPT THE MACLAREN EASY TRAVELLER TO YOUR INFANT CAR SEAT
A ADJUST YOUR CROSSBAR: Use a cross-headed (phillips) screwdriver and pliers remove the screws, locknuts and washers. Slide the front cross bar to the correct height (A, B or C) and reinsert screws and attach washers and locknuts. Tighten the screws into the locknuts until resistance is felt, then firmly continue tightening for two turns to lock the screws.
1. For the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Britax Chaperone Car seat, the Special Adaptor Bar MUST be used. Do not use the bar that is already attached to the stroller.
This means you MUST remove the existing bar, by loosening the screw on both end caps located at the top of the post. Take off the end cap, and remove the existing adaptor bar.
- Now attach the Special Adaptor Bar at the (A)position as explained above. Replace the end caps; tighten the screws into the end cap.
NOTE: MAKE SURE THE DIRECTION OF THE BAR IS CORRECT -REFER TO THE LABEL ATTACHED ON THE ADAPTOR
B PLACE THE CAR SEAT: Gently lower the car seat onto the buggy frame. It must be oriented so that the child will face the rear of the Maclaren Easy Traveller. This means the child will face the Parent or Care Giver. Attach the straps. Remember the straps are critical to prevent your child's car seat from sliding or falling out of the Maclaren Easy Traveller stroller. The first time you do this, you will need to adjust the car seat straps to the proper length for a secure fit around the car seat.
IMPORTANT: The positioning of the adaptor bar is specific to your car seat. Only the approved car seats illustrated in the diagrams page can be used with this Easy Traveller.
