How to mount the Joule GPS on my bike?

Use the provided rings at 0° or adjusted positions. For stem mounting, cross the rings over the stem and lock onto the hooks. For out-front mounting, insert the mount into the adjusted slots on the stem.

Which sensors are compatible with the Joule GPS?

The Joule GPS is compatible with power meters, speed sensors, cadence sensors, and heart rate sensors using the ANT+ protocol.

How to use the device buttons?

The [ENTER] button allows navigating through dashboards and accessing the menu (long press 3s). [PLUS] and [MOINS] move the highlight. [INTERVAL] marks intervals and displays corresponding data.

How to customize the dashboards?

Dashboards 1, 2, and 3 are fully customizable. Highlight a metric to see details. Use the menu to modify displayed fields.

How to mark intervals during a ride?

Briefly press the [INTERVAL] button to mark an interval. To view interval data, press and hold for 3 seconds. Intervals display metrics such as HR, MPH, CAD, KJ, TSS.

How to pair a new sensor or bike?

In the menu, select 'Sensor' then 'Select Bike' or 'Add Bike'. Assign a name, weight, and pair each sensor (power, cadence, speed, HR). Hold the Joule within 30 cm of the sensor during pairing.

How to create a user profile?

In the menu, go to 'Select User' or 'Add User'. Enter name, weight, height, date of birth, gender, FTP, and power/HR zones.

How to download ride data to my computer?

Install the PowerAgent software from www.powertap.com/poweragent. Connect the Joule GPS via USB and follow the instructions to transfer rides.

What to do if the screen does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. Plug the device into a USB source for at least 2 hours. If the problem persists, contact Powertap support.

Is the device waterproof?

The Joule GPS is not designed to be submerged. Protect it from rain and splashes. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.

IMPORTANT Hold Joule within 12" of PowerTap hub when in the presence of other sensors.
