Important Remark

GB

We would like to point out expressly that the relatively long percolating time of this product (KAC 2917) is due to its type of construction. As the power of your car battery is limited (12 volts) this is unavoidable and does not mean that the product is not working correctly.

Putting the device into operation

  • Remove all the packaging and transport protections from the device. Wipe all the parts with a moist cloth to remove all the dust that may have deposited on and in the device during transport. Then mount the device again by proceeding in the opposite order.
  • Carry out 2 or 3 cycles with cold water only to clean the device before brewing the first cup of coffee.

Wall Holder

The base of the coffee machine can also be mounted on a wall with the help of screws (not supplied).

To do so, please measure the distance between the indentations on the rear. Beforehand you should ensure that you will not damage any pipe or electric wiring hidden in the wall! Then drill holes at this distance.

Electrical connection

  • Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base.
  • Connect the power cable to a 12V/15A direct current (DC) socket such as the cigarette lighter. The control lamp in the plug lights up.

Operating

  1. Open the water tank lid.
  2. Now fill with enough fresh cold water for the desired number of cups. You can read the level on the water level display. Do not overfill the appliance.
  3. Close the water tank lid.
  4. Swing the fi Iter out to the right.
  5. Pull out the permanent fi liter and fi ll in some coffee powder. Then replace the permanent fi liter and place the coffee pot on the stand. Lock in the fi liter until it snaps into place. Please note that the lid must be in place on the pot.
  6. Switch on the appliance (the LED in the switch lights up).

GB

  1. Your appliance is provided with a drip stop. By removing the pot, before the water runs through the fi liter completely, it avoids that the coffee drips on the base. If there is still water in the tank or fi liter, make sure that the pot is placed back under the fi liter to avoid overfl owing.
  2. When the coffee stops flowing into the filter, you can remove the pot.
  3. In order to pour coffee out of the pot please turn the lid until the opening is opposite the handle.

After Use

If you would like to stop using the kettle, first turn the on/off switch to 0 (off) and then remove the plug from the socket.

De-scaling

De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases substantially. Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler. Follow the recommended instructions for use.

Cleaning

  • The machine must never be immersed in water!
    • Always pull he plug before cleaning and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  • Clean the outside of the appliance, if necessary, with a slightly moist cloth without any detergent.
    • The filter holder can be washed as usual in warm washing up water.
  • Do not immerse the pot in water. Wipe the outside with a moist cloth. You can clean the inside with warm water. If necessary, use a soft brush.
