How to install the LaCie 523 monitor?

Turn off your computer. Connect the video cable to the monitor and then to the computer. Connect the power cable to the monitor and to a wall outlet. Turn on your computer, your monitor, and the holiday switch located on the left side of the monitor.

How to install the included hood?

Lift the hood behind the monitor and insert the clasp onto the monitor handle. Once the clasp is securely fastened, lower the middle panel forward to place it. Lift the side panels and attach Velcro pads on the monitor aligned with those on the hood.

How to calibrate the monitor?

During calibration, simply unfold the hood to place the calibrator. Then follow the instructions of the calibration software provided on the CD-ROM.

What to do if the screen doesn't turn on?

Check that the power cable is properly connected and that the holiday switch is in the on position. Also ensure that the video cable is correctly connected to the computer and the monitor.

How to clean the screen?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened. Never use abrasive products or solvents.

Hood Installation Steps

1. Lift the hood behind the monitor and insert the clasp over the monitor handle. Once the clasp is secured, lower the middle panel forward and into place.

1. Lift side panels and attach Velcro stickers to the 500 Series monitor so they line up with the Velcro on the hood.

1. When calibrating the monitor, simply unfold the hook to attach your calibrator.
