CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

RECYCLING INFORMATION

This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not

be treated as household waste. Instead it must be brought to the applicable collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

The packaging is recyclable. Please treat package ecologically.

This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.

Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.

This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

• Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
  Farms
• Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character

BATTERY

The appliance works with a 1 x 3V CR2032 battery.

1. Remove the plastic protection slip over the battery before the first use.
2. To replace the battery, open the battery compartment by turning the cover to the picture of the open lock with a coin or other utensil.
3. Replace the battery and close the battery compartment again by turning the cover to the picture of the closed lock.

PLACING THE SPOON

Place one of the two spoons with the connection pin into the handle. Push the spoon into the handle until it clicks.

The spoons are removable for easy replacement and cleaning.

WEIGHING

1. Make sure that the spoon is in a horizontal position during weighing. To do this, you can also place the spoon onto a horizontal surface.
2. Press the on/off button to turn on the spoon. The display will indicate 0,0g .
3. To change the weighing unit, press and hold the / UNIT button for 3 seconds to switch between grams and ounces (g/oz).
4. Add ingredients and keep the spoon in a horizontal position to read the correct weight.

Tare function

Press the ON/TARE button to reset the weight to 0. This way you can weigh different ingredients or amounts consecutively without removing any content from the spoon.

Sum function

1. Weigh the first content (e.g. a scoop), with a weight higher than 0,5g and press the UNIT button shortly. The weight of the first content will now remain on the screen, also when the content is removed from the spoon.
2. Remove the first content and place a second content (e.g. a second scoop) in the spoon. The weight of this second content is now added to the weight of the first content. So you get the total weight of the first and second content together.
3. By pressing the / UNIT button again, you can keep repeating this process until a maximum accumulative weight of 3kg .

This way you can determine the total weight of different consecutive scoops.

Hold function

Press the HOLD button to freeze the weight on the display. The weight will now remain on the screen, also if the content is removed from the spoon. Press the HOLD button again to return to the normal weighing mode, or wait 10 seconds.

Switching off

Press and hold the ON/TARE button for 3 seconds to switch off the appliance. The spoon will also automatically switch off after 1 minute of inactivity.

CAUTION

• This product is a precision instrument. Handle it carefully and avoid shocks to the appliance.
• Never load content into the spoon that has a total weight of more than 450g . This may cause irreparable damage to the appliance.
• The spoon needs to be in a horizontal position to guarantee accuracy. Also avoid interfering signals like e.g. mobile phones or magnetic fields. Only start weighing

when the display indicates 0,0g

• Do not place anything into the spoon before switching it on.

• The display can indicate the following warnings:

O-Ld: Overload. The spoon weighs a maximum of 300g at once. Remove ingredients from the spoon.

OVR 2: The sensor can be damaged after overload or rough handling of the appliance.

UNST: The spoon is unstable. Keep the spoon in a horizontal position.

Low battery, the battery is almost empty.

LO: Empty battery, replace the battery.

• The removable spoons are dishwasher proof. The handle of the spoon is NOT. Never immerse the handle in water or other liquids. Only rub the handle clean with a slightly damp cloth.
• Do not use the spoon in an oven or microwave.
• Only store and use the spoon in an environment at room temperature (18 - 29^)
