Frequently Asked Questions - GLI34 LOTUSGRILL

How to light the LotusGrill GLI34 barbecue?
Pour about 250 g of charcoal into the reservoir, place the lid. Form a circle of fire starter gel (10 mm) in the center of the ignition plate, then place the plate at the bottom of the inner bowl. Turn the switch to On and set the thermostat to maximum. Light the gel with a match, then install the charcoal reservoir on the bowl. After 3-4 minutes, adjust the temperature with the thermostat.
What type of batteries to use and how to replace them?
Use 4 AA 1.5 V batteries. Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the outer bowl, insert the batteries respecting polarity, then close. Remove the batteries if the barbecue remains unused for a long time.
Can I use the barbecue indoors?
No, never use this barbecue in an enclosed room (risk of asphyxiation). Use it only outdoors, on a stable and non-flammable surface.
How to clean the barbecue after use?
Wait for the barbecue to cool completely. The grill and inner bowl are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with dish soap. The outer bowl can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use flammable or corrosive products.
How long does it take for the charcoal to be ready?
After lighting the gel, the charcoal becomes glowing in 3 to 4 minutes. The barbecue is then ready to use.
What to do if the fan does not work?
Check that the batteries are correctly installed and sufficiently charged. Make sure the switch is set to On. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Is the barbecue covered by warranty?
Yes, LotusGrill offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects, subject to use in accordance with the instructions. Wear parts (e.g., charcoal reservoir) are not covered. Keep your receipt.
What accessories can I use with this barbecue?
We recommend using LotusGrill accessories, especially barbecue tongs. The replacement charcoal reservoir with lid is available separately.
How to safely extinguish the barbecue?
Never pour water on hot charcoal. Let the barbecue cool down completely in the open air. You can close the lid to speed up extinction, but make sure it cools down well before storing.
Does the barbecue rust easily?
Parts exposed to flames (grill, reservoir) may show signs of wear, rust, or discoloration over time, which is normal. Clean them regularly and store the barbecue in a dry place to limit corrosion.
