How to fill the water tank?
Unplug the iron. Make sure the steam control is on dry position (O). Open the cap, pour water up to the MAX mark without exceeding. Close the cap. Never add fragranced substances.
How to use the steam function?
Fill the tank. Plug in the iron and set the temperature according to the fabric (see table B). Turn the steam control (4) to the desired position ( intermediate or •• maximum). Steam is produced automatically. In vertical position, steam stops.
Why does water come out with steam during first use?
This is normal. A few drops of water may accompany the steam during first use. Test on an old fabric before ironing your laundry.
How to use the self-cleaning system?
Select dry ironing. Fill the tank to MAX. Plug in and heat the soleplate to maximum. Unplug, press and hold the self-cleaning button (10) while holding the iron horizontally over a sink. Wait until the tank is empty. Replug and run over an old cloth to remove residual water. Caution: the water coming out is boiling!
How to dry iron?
Set the steam control (4) to the dry position (O). The iron then operates without steam. You can use the spray function to dampen the laundry if necessary.
How to use the spray function?
Press the spray button (6) in bursts to dampen the most stubborn creases. Usable both in steam and dry ironing.
How to use the super steam function?
Press the super steam button (5) in bursts for a powerful steam jet. Use only when the thermostat is in the steam zone (high temperature). Do not press too often to avoid water droplets. The first jets may contain scale, direct them away from the laundry.
How to do vertical ironing?
Set the thermostat to Max. Hold the iron vertically 15-20 cm from the fabric. Press the super steam button (5) in bursts. Suitable for clothes on hangers, curtains, etc. Do not use on synthetics or on people.
What type of water to use to avoid scale?
If the water in your area is particularly hard, use distilled or demineralized water. Never use fragranced water.
What to do if the iron does not heat up?
Check that the iron is properly plugged in and that the outlet works. Make sure the thermostat is not on the minimum position. If the thermostat light does not come on, contact an authorized Termozeta service center. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

DESCRIPTION

The present manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.

  • After taking off the packing make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
  • Do not leave pieces of packing (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities since these are potential sources of danger.
  • The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only if it is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by the lack of an earthing system.
  • Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of need use exclusively approved appliances in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Any installation which doesn't comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires.
  • The appliance must only be used to iron fabrics for domestic purposes.
  • For safety reasons pay attention and:

  • do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet

  • do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
  • do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.)
  • never pull the power cord or the appliance itself in order to disconnect the plug from the outlet
  • do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power supply
  • never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids

  • The appliance is not intended for being used by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capacities arereduced, or who are lacking in experience or knowledge, unless they can benefit from the presence of someone who is responsible for their safety and who is provided with the instructions for use.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The power cord of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.
- In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
- At the end of the life cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the power cord after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
- TERMOZETA cannot be considered responsible for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by the incorrect installation or as a result of an illegitimate, mistaken or unreasonable use.
- Before and during use, make sure that the work surface is stable and heat resistant.
- Never leave the iron unattended when it is plugged into the power supply outlet.
- Do not use the iron if it has accidentally been dropped or if it has visible signs of water loss.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

DESCRIPTION OF STEAM ADJUSTMENT CONTROL (4)

Chart A

TANK FILLING

  • Always proceed with this operation with the plug disconnected from the current socket.
  • Make sure that the steam adjustment command (4) is in the position of dry ironing (see chart A).
  • Open the cover (2) and fill the tank through the appropriate hole without exceeding MAX level (11) indicated on the tank itself. Don't ever put inside the tank any perfumed substances.
  • Close the cover (2).

Advice:

If water if your area is particularly calcareous it is advisable to use distilled water.

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS

  • Check that the steam adjustment command (4) is in the position of dry ironing (see chart A).
  • Completely unroll the feeling cable (7), put the iron in a vertical position and connect the plug to the current socket.
  • With the temperature adjustment knob (9) select the temperature suitable for the type of fabric to iron (see chart B).
  • Thermostat indicator (8) switches on and will switch off when the plate has reached the selected temperature. At this point the iron is ready for use.

Advice:

  • Iron firstly more delicate fabrics which require low temperature and then more resistant ones which require higher temperature;
  • Before starting with ironing pass the iron over a small internal area of your item of clothing to make sure that the selected temperature is suitable for that type of fabric.

STEAM IRONING

  • Fill the tank with water.
  • Through the steam adjustment command (4) choose the desired steam supply (see chart A).

Note

  • When the iron is placed vertically during the ironing pauses the steam supply is automatically cut off.
  • When used for the first time, some water drops can come out together with the steam. This is to be considered normal. Before ironing you clothing do some tests on an old cloth.

DRY IRONING

  • Put the steam adjustment command (4) in position of dry ironing.

SPRAY FUNCTION

  • This function allows to wet the clothing during both steam and dry ironing.
  • To activate it push several time the spray button (6) e direct the water jet onto the most resistant creases.

SUPER-STEAM FUNCTION

  • Push several the super steam button (5): the iron will supply an instantaneous high power steam jet.

Note:

  • Don't consecutively push the button too many times to avoid coming of non steamed water drops.
  • Use this function only with the temperature adjustment knob (9) set up to the steam function.
  • When the super steam is used for the first time, some limestone scales could come out so we advise you not to discharge the first steam jets directly onto the clothing.

VERTICAL IRONING

To "liven up" the clothes hung on coat hangers, curtains etc. you can vertically use the iron:

  • Set the temperature adjustment knob (9) on Max indication.
  • Hold the iron in vertical position at a distance of about 15 - 20 cm from the fabric.
  • Push the super steam button (5) several times.

Note:

  • Don't consecutively push the button too many times respecting the pauses of some seconds between one operation and another after.

Important:

  • Don't use this function on fabrics made of synthetic fibres.
  • Maintain an adequate distance between the fabric and the ironing plate to avoid burnings.
  • Use this function exclusively on clothes hung on coat hangers. Don't ever try to iron the clothes worn by a person: the steam is very hot, you could cause serious burning.

SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM

Your iron is supplied with a self-cleaning system which allows to reduce the formation of limestone deposits. In order that it produces its benefits it is necessary to regularly effectuate the operation, at least once a month. Proceed as following:

  • Set the dry ironing function.
  • Fill up the tank up to MAX level
  • Make the iron function as normal bringing the plate to the maximum temperature.
  • Disconnect the plug from the current socket when the iron is ready.
  • Holding down the self-cleaning button (10) wag the iron in horizontal position, above a sink or a basin. Let the tank get empty. The water-steam mixture will eliminate a part of limestone residues present in the plate.
  • Afterwards connect the plug to the current socket and moving the iron above an old cloth, eliminate all the residue water present in the plate..

Important:

  • Pay attention not to get in contact with the water that is comes out from the plate since it is bowling and you could get burned.

Note:

  • Before re-using the iron to iron the clothing, pass the cold plate on a dry cotton cloth.

AFTER USE

  • Disconnect the plug from the current socket.
  • Empty the tank.
  • Always put the steam adjustment command (4) in dry ironing position.
  • Leave the iron to completely cool down.
  • Place the iron in vertical position.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before effectuating any cleaning operation, disconnect the plug from the current socket and wait until the iron is completely cooled down.
  • Clean the body of the iron only with a soft and dry cloth.
  • Regularly clean the plate using a normal non-abrasive sponge in order not to ruin the plate surface.
  • Don't use chemical or abrasive substances.
  • Don't ever emerge the appliance in water or other liquid substances.
