How to assemble the SC2281 juicer?

First place the filter holder in the pulp container. Insert the filter into its holder. Place the lid and lock it by engaging the two locks (top then bottom). Ensure the pulp container is in place. Finally, position the jug under the juice spout.

What fruits and vegetables can I use with this juicer?

You can extract juice from most fruits and vegetables: apples, carrots, oranges (peeled), celery, spinach, beets, etc. Remove pits and hard skins before extraction.

Why does my juicer stop during use?

This may be due to overload. The appliance is designed for a maximum continuous use of 2 minutes with hard foods, and a maximum quantity of 1.5 kg. If the motor stops, turn off the appliance and unblock the pusher, then let it cool for a few minutes before restarting.

How to clean the juicer filter?

Use the provided brush to remove food residues. Rinse it under warm water while brushing. Do not put the filter in the dishwasher. If discoloration persists, rub with a cloth soaked in vegetable oil.

Can I extract juice from leafy green vegetables like spinach?

Yes, but it is recommended to insert them slowly alternating with harder fruits or vegetables (like apples) to optimize extraction. Dark green vegetables produce a very concentrated juice, to be consumed in moderation.

What is the maximum continuous use time?

For hard foods, do not exceed 2 minutes of continuous use with a maximum quantity of 1.5 kg. For soft foods, you can use the appliance longer, but regular breaks are advised to avoid overheating.

How to reduce foam in the juice?

The lid is equipped with a foam separator that reduces foam formation. You can also remove foam with a spoon if necessary.

Are the pulp container and juice jug dishwasher safe?

No, according to the manufacturer's instructions, these parts should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. Wash them by hand with warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly.

What to do if a burning smell comes from the motor?

Immediately stop the appliance and unplug it. The smell may be due to prolonged use or overload. Let the appliance cool for at least 30 minutes before trying again. If the smell persists, contact customer service.

How to store freshly squeezed juice?

Important and safety

Preparing food

1. Remove stones(plums, peaches, cherries etc).
2. Remove tough skins (melons, pineapples, cucumbers, potatoes etc). Soft-skinned and other foods just need washing (apples pears, carrots, radishes, kettuce, cabbage, parsley, spinach, grapes, strawberries, celery etc.)
3. Citrus Fruit- Peel and remove the white pith, otherwise the juice may taste bitter.

Assembly and use

Fit the filter holder O,5^ and pulp collector O,12.
Fit the filter O,4^ inside the filter holder and push down- ensuring the the filter in the correct position.
Fit the lid. Lock the lid by clipping the top of the latches(Fig.1) to the lid. Then snap the bottom of the latches(Fig.2) into place.
Your juicer will not work if the lid is unlocked.
Do not operate the juicer without the pulp collector fitted.
- Put the juice jug under the outlet. The foam separator in the jug ensures that the juice is free from foam.
Switch on '2' and feed the food items down with the pusher-ensuring the groove in the pusher aligns with the notch on the inside for the feed tube. Use speed 1 for softer food such as citrus and strawberries.
- When juicing hard foods we recommend a maximum quantity of 1.5Kg with a maximum operation time of 2minutes. Some very hard foods may make your juicer slow down or stop .If this happens switch off and unblock the filter.
Switch off and clear the pulp collector regularly during use.
8. The juicer is factory lubricated and requires no further lubrication.

To take your juicer apart

Reverse the assembly procedure to take the juicer apart.

Hints

Insert soft food slowly to get the most juice.
Vitamins disappear – the sooner you drink your juice, the more vitamins you'll get.
If you need to store the juice for a few hours put it in the fridge. It will keep better if you add a few drops of lemon juice.
Don't drink more than three 230mls (8 fl. oz.) glasses of juice a day unless you're used to it.
Dilute juice for children with an equal amount of water.
Juice from dark green (broccoli, spinach etc) or dark red (beetroot, red cabbage etc.) vegetables is extremely strong, so people with diabetes or low blood sugar should avoid drinking to much.

CLEANING

1. Before cleaning, unplug your juicer.
2. If the filter is too tight to remove, wait a few minutes until it loosens up.
3. Some foods, e.g. carrot, will discolor the plastic. Rubbing with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil helps remove discoloring.

Motor

The motor unit if you use it, wipe with a damp cloth, then dry.

Filter

1. Clean using the brush supplied.
2. Check the filter regularly for signs of damage. Do not use if the filter is damaged.

Other parts

Wash in hot soapy water, then dry all the parts. Don't clean parts in a

dishwasher or running water.

Flip the spout down fully in order to clean it properly. The spout can not be detached from the appliances.
