USER MANUAL PS30B JATA
- Carefully read these instructions before using the appliance for the first time and keep the for future enquiries.
- This appliance can be used by children at the age of 8 or more and people with physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given an appropriate supervision or instruction concerning the safety use of the appliances and understand the dangers involved.
- Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
- Do not connect the appliance to the mains without checking that the voltage of the adapter (between 100V and 240V.) and that of your household are the same.
- Do not use nor recharge near the water contained in bathtubs, wash basins or other containers.
- Don’t allow children play with the appliance.
- Keep away from any sources of heat.
- Do not use if the cutting guide has cracks or the blade does not have all the teeth in perfect condition neither if the shaver if the shaving foil is damage or broken. They could be the cause of serious injuries.
- Do not leave on clothes or any other object while in use, in order to avoid possible blockage. It must not be left connected on flat surfaces such as tables or counter tops, as the vibration of the appliance may cause it to slide off and break.
- Do not use on injured skin or if you have any skin diseases.
- To recharge the battery or to work with the blade plugged into the mains, always use the adapter provided. Do not use any other type of adapter.
- This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
- VERY IMPORTANT: The hair clippers, the adapter and the base must never be immersed in water or any other liquid.
- If you are using it in a bathroom, it is advisable to install in the electrical circuit of the bathroom a residual differential current device (DDR) of differential current of assigned capacity that does not exceed 30 mA. Ask your supplier for advice.11
- The adapter must always be used indoors. Do not use in the open air.
- The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be done by children without any supervision.
- If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.
- If there is any nylon filament found on the blades, it’s due to the quality control made in each unit.
Charging the battery.
- Before using for the first time it is necessary to charge the battery.
- There are two options to charge the battery:
1. With the switch (10) in the OFF position, connect the adapter in the lower part of the unit
and the adapter to the mains.
2. Insert the appliance plug into the back of the charge stand (12) close the clip and place
the appliance on the stand by pressing slightly.
- The pilot light (11) will go on.
- The first charge of the battery will take 14-16 hours. For the later charges it will be enough to keep it charging during the night.
- In order to optimise the durability of the battery bear in mind the following pieces of advice: - Never exceed the indicated loading times for the battery. - It is important to discharge the battery before it is recharged, leave it on until it stops or the power decreases clearly. - The battery must be recharged every 6 months if it has not been used for said period of time. - Also recharge if it has not been used for more then a month.
TO PLACE THE ACESSORIES
- The following accessories: the micro shaver, the nose-ear, shaver and cutting hair accessory are placed with a slightly pressure.
- To remove them, keep pressed the release buttons (9). LUBRIFICATION
- For the micro shaver and cutting guide accessory work correctly it is absolutely necessary to lubricate the blades with oil before each use.
- Carefully pour a few drops of oil, which is provided, between the teeth of the blade, or if you have run out, with another high quality, acid free oil.
- Turn the hair clipper on for a few seconds and clean the excess oil off with a cloth. BODY TRIMMER
- Use the micro shaver (1) without the cutting guide.
- Before depilation, the skin must be dry and clean, free of oil or cream.
- Pass your hand over the depilation area in the contrary way to the growing hair to lift up the shorter hair.
- Cut the hair in the opposite direction of its growth. SHAVER
- Insert shaver (3) on the main unit.
- Do not press it too much in the skin.12 NOSE-EAR ACCESSORY
- Place the accessory (2) in the main unit. Insert the groomer into the nostril and rotate in a circular motion (Fig. A).
- Remove the hair inserting the groomer into the nostril as showed in the drawing (Fig. B)
- To cut the hair it is compulsory to use the accessory (4) together the cutting guides (5 and 6).
- The cutting guide (5) allows a cutting height between 6 and 12 mm. and the cutting guide (6) allows a cutting height between 14 and 20 mm.
- Insert the guide in the accessory. To assemble the chosen guide place it in the blade and press the bottom flange of the guide to be inserted.
- Once inserted the guide and keeping pressed the button (7) placed in the lower side, slide it to leave it in the desired position. The different positions are showed in cutting guide indicator (8).
- Do not use the guide for the final touches. To get an exact hair cut, and the side burns, nape and the area around the ears with straight lines, turn the hair clippers round and place them at a straight angle with your head so the blade is in slight contact with the skin, and shave downwards. This way you will get a perfect finish, as if shaving. BEARD
- To cut the beard use the micro shaver and the cutting guide accessory with each guide. If you are using the micro shaver you can select the cutting height between 1 to 4 mm.
- Always remember you must begin with the cutting guides set to the longest cutting position before setting it to a lower position.
- Start by cutting from the down side of the chin and moving the clipper with soft movements upwards and outwards.
- For the final touches and the edges always use the hair clipper without any guide. MOUSTACHE
- You ca use the micro shaver or the cutting hair accessory.
- Comb the moustache downwards.
- Start with the cutting guide in the high position. Later you may use the shorter cutting guides.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Before doing anything, make sure the hair clipper is unplugged from the mains.
- Release the acceosries and use the brush to clean the unit and accesories.
- To clean the shaver, remove the grille by pressing the two buttons placed in the laterals and use the brush.
- Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.
- Do not use to clean chemical products or abrasives, metallic scourers and similar, which may deteriorate the surfaces. ENVIROMENT PROTECTION
- This appliance is equipped with two Ni-Mh batteries.
- To remove the batteries, follow the next steps: 1.Remove the back cover with a small screwdriver. 2.Release the inner screws of the lid and the screws of the circuit plate placed bellow. Use some scissors to cut the batteries cables connexion.
- Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.

- Never throw away the appliance or the batteries to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
