How to use the Imetec ECO HB hand blender?

Insert ingredients into the beaker, immerse the shaft until the blade cover is submerged, then press the control to Eco or Turbo position. Do not exceed 1 minute of continuous operation.

What speeds are available?

Two speeds: Eco (low speed to save energy) and Turbo (high speed for faster work).

How to clean the blending shaft?

Fill the beaker with warm soapy water, immerse the shaft and run for 30 seconds in Eco position. Rinse with clean water and dry. Never immerse the motor unit in water.

Can I wash the beaker in the dishwasher?

Yes, the beaker (ref. 7) can be washed in the dishwasher at a maximum temperature of 60°C or by hand with water and soap.

How to prepare mayonnaise with the ECO HB?

Pour 200 ml of oil, 1 whole egg and a pinch of salt into the beaker. Immerse the shaft to the bottom, activate in Eco mode for 15 seconds, then gently raise and lower until fully emulsified. Add vinegar or lemon to adjust acidity.

What to do if the blades cause splashing?

Make sure the blade cover is completely submerged in the ingredients. If it protrudes, immerse it further.

What are the important safety instructions?

Do not use with wet hands, do not immerse the motor unit, do not use near a full sink, keep out of reach of children under 12, and unplug before cleaning.

Can I blend only solid ingredients?

No, the appliance should not be used only with solid ingredients. It is designed for liquid or semi-liquid mixtures.

How to get a repair?

Contact an authorized Imetec technical service center via the toll-free number indicated on the website www.imetec.com. Never open the appliance yourself.

How to dispose of the appliance at the end of its life?

In accordance with European directive 2002/96/EC, do not dispose of the appliance with household waste. Take it to a local recycling center or return it to the retailer.

SAFETY WARNINGS

• After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic wrapping out of the reach of children; risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage data reported on the identification plate corresponds to that of the available electric mains. The identification plate is attached to the device.
• This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, that

is as a HAND BLENDER for home use. Any other use is improper and potentially dangerous.

- The appliance may be used by children below 12 years of age, by persons with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities or persons lacking experience only if they have received prior instructions concerning its safe use and if they are informed as to the dangers related to use of the appliance. Children may not play with the appliance. Appliance cleaning and maintenance cannot be completed by children without adult supervision. Keep the appliance and power supply cable from children under 12 when the appliance is on or cooling down.

• DO NOT touch the device with damp or wet hands or feet.
• DO NOT pull on the cord or device to unplug the latter from the mains socket.
• DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun).
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before clear performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- In case of fault or malfunctioning of the appliance, switch it off tamper with it. If the device needs to be repaired, contact an authorised technical assistance centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
- NEVER submerge the appliance in water or other liquids and never place it under running water.
- The appliance is not meant to be operated by an external timer or with a separate remote control system or similar systems.
• DO NOT use the appliance near a washbasin full of water. When used the appliance must be placed in such a way that it cannot fall in the washbasin.
• DO NOT use near a hob. Make sure the cable does not come into contact with hot, incandescent surfaces, open flames, pots and other tools.
• DO NOT touch moving parts.
- Failure to follow these instructions or misuse of the product may cause injury.
- Pay special attention when handling the sharp blades at the time of cleaning.

HOW TO CLEAN THE SHAFT OF THE HAND BLENDER

ATTENTION!

Use caution when handling the blades (6) to prevent accidental cuts. Never place the motor unit (3) appliance in water.

• Fill the container (7) with lukewarm water and detergent.
- Insert the hand blender's shaft (4) in the container (7), until the blade guard (5) is fully submerged in the mix.
- Insert the electric plug (8) in the socket.
- Press the on/off switch button in the ECO position and activate the appliance for 30 seconds.
- Rinse and repeat the previous stages using clean water and no detergent.
- Remove the electric plug (8) from the socket.
• Dry with a dry cloth.
- Clean the motor unit (3) and the power supply cable (8) with a damp and well squeezed sponge.

CLEANING THE CONTAINER (7)

• The container (7) may be cleaned as follows:

- by hand, with water and a detergent.

- in the dishwasher, making sure the water's maximum temperature does not exceed 60^ C.

Do not use the appliance with solid ingredients only.

• Operation time should not be under one minute.
• Before repeating this cycle let the appliance to cool down completely.
- Do not leave any food inside the container (7) beyond required for preparation.

EMULSIFYING

To emulsify mayonnaise proceed as follows:

• Place 200 ml of olio, 1 egg and a pinch of salt in this order in the container (7).
• Insert the hand blender's shaft (4) in the container (7) until fully home.
• Insert the electric plug (8) in the socket.
• Press the on/off switch button in the position (ECO).
• Keep the hand blender's shaft (4) in this position for approximately 15", until the oil starts to emulsify.
  • Gently lift and lower the shaft of the hand blender (4) to emulsify all the oil.
• Adjust acidity by adding a teaspoon of vinegar or lemon.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Should the problem indicated occur, adopt the proposed solution:

DISPOSAL

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.
