This instruction manual has been drawn up in compliance with the European Standard EN 62079.

SAFETY WARNINGS
• After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic wrapping out of the reach of children; risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage data reported on the identification plate corresponds to that of the available electric mains. The identification plate is attached to the device.
• This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, that

is as a HAND BLENDER for home use. Any other use is improper and potentially dangerous.
- The appliance may be used by children below 12 years of age, by persons with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities or persons lacking experience only if they have received prior instructions concerning its safe use and if they are informed as to the dangers related to use of the appliance. Children may not play with the appliance. Appliance cleaning and maintenance cannot be completed by children without adult supervision. Keep the appliance and power supply cable from children under 12 when the appliance is on or cooling down.
• DO NOT touch the device with damp or wet hands or feet.
• DO NOT pull on the cord or device to unplug the latter from the mains socket.
• DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun).
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before clear performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- In case of fault or malfunctioning of the appliance, switch it off tamper with it. If the device needs to be repaired, contact an authorised technical assistance centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
- NEVER submerge the appliance in water or other liquids and never place it under running water.
- The appliance is not meant to be operated by an external timer or with a separate remote control system or similar systems.
• DO NOT use the appliance near a washbasin full of water. When used the appliance must be placed in such a way that it cannot fall in the washbasin.
• DO NOT use near a hob. Make sure the cable does not come into contact with hot, incandescent surfaces, open flames, pots and other tools.
• DO NOT touch moving parts.
- Failure to follow these instructions or misuse of the product may cause injury.
- Pay special attention when handling the sharp blades at the time of cleaning.

FUNCTIONING
The on/off switch button operates at the speeds indicated below:

HOW TO CLEAN THE SHAFT OF THE HAND BLENDER
ATTENTION!
Use caution when handling the blades (6) to prevent accidental cuts. Never place the motor unit (3) appliance in water.
• Fill the container (7) with lukewarm water and detergent.
- Insert the hand blender's shaft (4) in the container (7), until the blade guard (5) is fully submerged in the mix.
- Insert the electric plug (8) in the socket.
- Press the on/off switch button in the ECO position and activate the appliance for 30 seconds.
- Rinse and repeat the previous stages using clean water and no detergent.
- Remove the electric plug (8) from the socket.
• Dry with a dry cloth.
- Clean the motor unit (3) and the power supply cable (8) with a damp and well squeezed sponge.
CLEANING THE CONTAINER (7)
• The container (7) may be cleaned as follows:
- by hand, with water and a detergent.
- in the dishwasher, making sure the water's maximum temperature does not exceed 60^ C.

Do not use the appliance with solid ingredients only.

• Before repeating this cycle let the appliance to cool down completely.
- Do not leave any food inside the container (7) beyond required for preparation.

EMULSIFYING
To emulsify mayonnaise proceed as follows:
- Place 200 ml of olio, 1 egg and a pinch of salt in this order in the container (7).
- Insert the hand blender's shaft (4) in the container (7) until fully home.
- Insert the electric plug (8) in the socket.
- Press the on/off switch button in the position (ECO).
- Keep the hand blender's shaft (4) in this position for approximately 15", until the oil starts to emulsify.
• Gently lift and lower the shaft of the hand blender (4) to emulsify all the oil. - Adjust acidity by adding a teaspoon of vinegar or lemon.

DISPOSAL

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.

The product must be disposed of properly, in accordance with the provisions of European standard 2002/96/EC. The recyclable materials contained in the appliance must be recovered so as to prevent environmental pollution. For further information, contact the local disposal body or the appliance dealer.
