Intended use
This appliance is intended primarily for non-commercial use in closed rooms for preparing soups, sauces and mixed drinks. Any use other than previously stated is considered as improper use.

Safety instructions
This appliance is not intended for use by children under 8 years of age or persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the appliance from such a person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
Store the appliance and accessory parts out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
Only allow repairs to the appliance to be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service; this particularly applies to replacing a damaged connecting cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. This will also invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
Repairs to the appliance during the guarantee period may only be carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer otherwise the warranty or guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
Do not use this appliance together with an external timer or a separate remote control system.

DANGER

Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Do not open the housing of the appliance. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids.

Always disconnect the mains plug before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storing the appliance.
- Never put your figures or objects into the steamer jug when the appliance is in operation.
Do not use the appliance for warming up food.
CAUTION
Always switch off the appliance before removing the upper parts.
Only operate the appliance when the lid is closed.
Do not pull the connecting cable to remove the plug from the mains socket.
Remove any stones from the fruit before extracting the juice.
Frozen fruit must be defrosted before chopping otherwise the jug could be damaged.
CAUTION
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the surfaces.
When using for prolonged periods of time, allow the appliance to cool down occasionally to avoid overheating.
The jug is not suitable for ovens or microwave ovens.
Never lift or move the appliance with the mains cable.
Requirements for the place of peration
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the place of operation must satisfy the following requirements:
Place the appliance on a firm, dry, flat, waterproof and heat-resistant surface.
Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.
The surface finishes on furniture may contain substances that can be detrimental to the feet of the appliance. If necessary, place a mat under the feet of the appliance.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions must on the electrical connection be observed:
Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 16 A automatic circuit breaker.
Ensure that the mains cable is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.
The mains cable must not be pulled tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
Place the cable in such a way as to avoid danger from tripping.
The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory parts and the user manual from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the appliance.
Keep the original packaging during the guarantee period in order to pack the appliance properly in the event of a guarantee or warranty claim.
Transport damage will invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
Checking the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged contents to your supplier immediately.
Before using for the first time
Clean the appliance and the accessories as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 29).
NOTE
When using for the first time, it is possible that production-related additives such as grease could cause slight odour or smoke. This is completely normal. Ensure sufficient ventilation.

Safety switch
The appliance is equipped with safety switch and can only be operated when the steamer jug is correctly placed on the motor unit and the jug has been filled with the minimum quantity (see marking on the jug).

WARNING
Before using each time, check the function of the safety switch. Switch on the appliance with the lid on but without ingredients. If the motor turns, the safety switch is defective and the appliance may not be used.
Putting on/taking off the lid (images A1 and A2)
Put the lid onto the steamer jug with the locking latch slightly raised (image A1).
Turn the lid on the steamer jug clock- wise in the direction of the to lock it (image A2).
Open the lid by turning it anticlockwise clockwise in the direction of the unlock it (image A2).
Take the lid off the steamer jug.
Putting on/taking off the lid for the filling hole
Put the lid (1) onto the large lid (2). The keyways on the small lid fit into the recesses of the large lid.
To lock the lid, turn it clockwise until it stops.
To take off the lid, turn it anticlockwise until the keyways are located at the recesses and take off the small lid.
Inserting/removing the chopping blade (image B1)
Put the chopping blade (11) into the steamer jug (3) from above.
Put the locking ring (12) onto the blade from below and turn it anticlockwise in the direction of

Operation and use
Switching the mixer function on/off
To mash and chop food, proceed as follows:
Turn the rotary switch to level 1 or 2 or to Pulse

NOTE
To mash and chop, the ingredients (liquid or solid) must be filled up to the minimum filling level (see marking on the jug). The sensor must be covered with liquid.
Pay attention to the maximum filling capacity of the jug: 1.2 l for soups and 1.5 l for mixed drinks (see marking on the jug).
Automatic operation
NOTE
An acoustic signal sounds when the mains plug is inserted.
If the steamer jug contains too little or no ingredients, the on/off button (7) flashes and an acoustic signal sounds. Fill the ingredients (liquid) up to the minimum level and press the on/off switch. An acoustic signal sounds the on/off switch lights up continuously.
For the minimum filling quantity (the liquid must cover the sensor) and the maximum capacity, pay attention to the marking on the jug.
To achieve optimum results when preparing soup, fill the appliance with lukewarm water.
The appliance is equipped with 3 preset programmes for preparing soups, sauces or jam.
fine and thick (8),
with small chunks (9),
with larger chunks (10).
To use these programmes, proceed as follows:
Fill the steamer jug with the ingredients for the dish. Pay attention to the minimum filling quantity.
Put on the small and large lids as described in the section Putting on/taking off the lid (page 25) and Putting on/taking off the lid for the filling hole (page 26).
Insert the plug into the mains socket. The on/off button (7) flashes.
Press the on/off button (7) to activate the standby function. An acoustic signal sounds and the on/off button lights up continuously when the liquid ingredients reach the marking for the minimum filling quantity. Otherwise add more ingredients and press the on/off button once again.
Press the desired programme selection button (8-10) to start the programme.
Preparing soup
To prepare soup, proceed as follows:
Cut the ingredients into chunks with an edge length of approx. 1.5cm
Put the steamer jug onto the appliance so that it snaps in.
Fill the steamer jug with the ingredients. Pay attention to the minimum filling quantity (see marking on the jug.
Insert the mains plug into the mains socket and press the on/off button.

Press the desired programme button:

fine and thick (8),
with small chunks (9),
with larger chunks (10).
The end of the programme is indicated by an acoustic signal.
Open the lid and season the food, if required.
Preparing jam
To prepare jam, proceed as follows:
Cut the ingredients into small chunks.
Put the steamer jug onto the appliance.
Put roughly 600g of the chopped fruit and 250ml fruit juice into the jug. The following programmes are suitable for jams:

without chunks and

for a fine and thick jam with very small chunks.
The end of the programme is indicated by an acoustic signal.
NOTE
Pay attention to the minimum filling quantity and the maximum capacity (see markings on the jug).
Check the consistence of the jam by taking a sample: put 2 TS of hot fruit mixture onto a small plate. As it cools, the jam will become firmer and thicker until it no longer runs.
Preparing sauces
To prepare sauces, proceed as follows:
Put all ingredients into the jug and start the desired programme. All three programmes are suitable for sauces:

sauces,
for very fine and thick

for fine and thick sauces
with very small chunks,

for sauces with a bite, i.e.
with large chopped chunks.
The end of the programme is indicated by an acoustic signal.

Cold mixed drinks such as milk shakes and smoothies
For mixing, simply put the ingredients into the jug, close the lid and turn the rotary switch to level 1 or 2. For drinks, the pulse function is usually sufficient.

Pay attention to the minimum filling quantity (the liquid must cover the sensor) and the maximum capacity, pay attention to the markings on the jug.
- Frozen fruit should be defrosted before chopping and added to the minimum quantity of liquid.
Recipe suggestions
Potato cream soup
Ingredients (for 4 persons):
400 g mealy cooking potatoes
750 ml vegetable broth
2 tablespoons of sour cream
Salt, white pepper
1 tablespoon of Worcester sauce
a little freshly-chopped herbs
(parsley, cress)
Peel, wash and dice the potatoes and then put them into the jug. Add vegetable broth and start the selected cooking pro
gramme 1 When the.
programme has completed, refine the soup with sour cream to taste. Season with salt, pepper and the Worcester sauce, fill a bowl and garnish with herbs.
Apple-orange-banana jam
Ingredients:
2 apples
1 banana
roughly 300ml of orange juice
1 pinch of cinnamon
500 g preserving sugar 1:1 (or 250 g of preserving sugar 2:1)
Peel the apples, remove the stalk and cut into pieces. Peel the banana and cut into pieces. Put the juice, fruit and preserving sugar into the jug and start the selected programme. When the programme has completed, pour the jam into clean jars and close them with suitable lids.
Tomato sauce
Ingredients:
2-3 large tins of tomatoes (use tomatoes and the juice)
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
1 pinch of sugar
salt, pepper
3-4 basil leaves
Peel the onions and garlic and finely chop. Put them and the other ingredients - with the exception of the basil leaves - into the jug. Start the desired cooking programme .or. Serve the tomato sauce with pasta or rice and garnish with the basil leaves.
Banana milk
Ingredients:
3 bananas
800 ml of milk
Cut the peeled bananas into chunks and put into the jug with 250ml of milk. Mash the bananas. Pour in the rest of the milk gradually.
Strawberry smoothie
Ingredients:
150 g strawberries
150 g bananas
300 ml orange juice
crushed ice
Put all ingredients into the jug and mash. Finally add some crushed ice and stir thoroughly.
After use
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Rinse the jug and the accessories used with water.
Clean the appliance and the accessory parts as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 29).
Cleaning and care
Before beginning any work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section Safety instructions (page 21)!
Cleaning the appliance
Wipe the housing (6) with a slightly damp cloth.
Wipe the steamer jug with a damp cloth. For easy cleaning of the cooking jug, remove the blades as described in the section Inserting/removing the chopping blade (page26).
The steamer jug and the housing may not be immersed into the dishwater.
All other parts can be cleaned in a warm washing-up liquid solution or in the dish washer.
After cleaning, dry all parts of the appliance thoroughly.
NOTE
Pour warm washing-up water into the steamer jug to soak stubborn dried food residues for approx. 10 minutes before cleaning.
Rinse the chopping blade immediately after processing very salty ingredients.
After processing strongly coloured ingredients, the plastic parts of the appliance can become discoloured. Rub these parts with cooking oil before cleaning them.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, clean it as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 29).
Store the appliance and all accessory parts at a dry, clean and frost-free location which is protected against direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
