> Safety instructions
- Before each time you use the apparatus, check the plug and the cord.
- Repairs should be carried out only by a professional. Repairs an unqualified individual can be very dangerous!
- If an electric apparatus is not used properly, there is always risk of injury!
- Store the apparatus in a safe place to prevent its misuse.
- Keep the apparatus out of the reach of children.
- The apparatus is intended for cutting human hair only and no for cutting animal or doll's hair. Any other use is considered improper.

- Do not use this product close to a filled bath or above a sink filled with water.
- Do not use it while bathing.
- Do not expose the apparatus for long periods to temperatures under 0^ or above 40^ . Avoid exposure to sunlight over longer periods of time.
- Never hold the plug with wet hands.
- When cleaning or maintaining the apparatus, remove the plug from the wall socket.
- Connect only the accompanying adapter to the apparatus.
> Instructions for use
- Connect the adapter to the apparatus.
- Insert the plug into the wall socket.
- Turn on the apparatus using the On/off switch and turn it off after use.
> Recharging the batteries (only with model HC2610)
- Connect the adapter to the apparatus.
- Insert the plug into the wall socket.

Turn off the apparatus; the apparatus can be recharged only when it is switched off.
-
Recharge the apparatus only when it is obviously functioning with less power.
- With a full battery, the apparatus can be used for approximately 45 minutes.
- The trimmer is equipped with a NiMH battery. In order to use this battery to the maximum, we recommend recharging it or connecting to a current only once the battery is completely empty.
- If during use, the apparatus stops working because the battery is empty, connect the battery to the adapter and continue hair-cutting. Later switch off the trimmer and leave it connected to the current until the battery is fully charged.
- Complete recharging takes about 10 hours.
Hair-cutting with a comb
Install the desired comb on the apparatus (comb 1 or comb 2). With the small comb (comb 1) you can cut 2 - 20mm of hair. With the large comb (comb 2) you can cut 23 - 41mm of hair. You can also use the apparatus without a comb (0mm)

Hair-cutting with a thinning function
For thinning hair, you have to click on the thinning function (see g).

Inserting a comb
To change combs, you have to press the comb insert button (see picture).
Make sure that the sides of the comb are placed in the grooves of the apparatus, and listen for a 'click' when inserting the comb.

Tips for great styling
- Make sure you use the right comb and select the right position.
Make sure that the apparatus is clean and the battery is charged (model HC2610). - Hold the apparatus so that the flat side of the comb points in the direction of the head and push the apparatus slowly and evenly through the hair.
- A rule of thumb is to start at the side of the neck and work your way to the middle of the head.
- Afterwards cut the hair above the forehead and work your way to the middle.
With hair longer than 40~mm use a styling comb or hold the hair in between your fingers.
Take a few breaks while cutting, comb the hair and check the result.

- Remove hair regularly from the apparatus by shaking it lightly or by blowing on it.
Clean the apparatus after each haircut.
> Cleaning and maintenance
- clean the apparatus after each use.
The apparatus can be cleaned while dry or wet. - Watch out! If you want to wet it for cleaning, first remove the plug from the wall socket and then unplug the cord from the apparatus.
- Do not use an abrasive scrub or any cleaning agent that contains alcohol, petrol or acetone.
- clean the apparatus only with the accompanying brush.
Dry cleaning: first remove the comb. Press your thumbs in the middle of the shaver head so that it jumps open. Don't let the shaver head fall.
Clean the inside to the head with the accompanying brush. After cleaning, re-affix the shaver head on the apparatus. Wipe the apparatus with a damp cloth.
No need to oil or grease the apparatus.
Wet cleaning: by using the Lift & Wash button, you can clean the apparatus under lukewarm running water. The temperature of the water must not exceed 70^ .
The trimmer is not completely water-proof, so never place it in a water-filled sink.
When wet cleaning, always check that the apparatus is switched off and the electricity cord is removed.
Press on the Lift & Wash button and hold the apparatus under the tap so that the water can rinse away any leftover hairs in the
culling component (See picture).
Allow the apparatus to dry while in an open position. Afterwards close the apparatus (you will hear a 'click'). Wipe the apparatus with a damp cloth.

Watch out! Never submerge the apparatus in water (for example in a sink or bath filled with water).
Environment and disposal
At the end of its lifespan, dispose of the apparatus in an environmentally friendly method.
Remove the shaver head. Separate as many parts as possible for separate waste processing.
The following parts can be disposed of separately in a way that protects our environment:
- Motor
Metal parts - Parts of the plug
Synthetic parts - Batteries
Only for model HC2610: This apparatus contains a rechargeable NiMH battery. Do not dispose of it with your household refuse, but deposit it at your chemical waste depot.
Removing the battery
- Remove the Lift & Wash button of the apparatus using a screw driver.
- Unscrew the 4 small screws. Loosen the interior component with the screwdriver.
Cut the battery contact.
Under no circumstances switch the apparatus on again after you have opened and dismantled it.

> Guarantee
The warrantee period is for 2 years, with the exception of separate components. The warrantee period begins on the date that you purchase the product. If you utilise your warrantee, the warrantee period is not extended. The warrantee applies to manufacturing faults and to material faults in the original components. The warrantee does not cover normal wear & tear and damage caused by an accident or improper use, misuse or consequences of changes made to the apparatus or from not following the user instructions, or the required technical instructions and/or safely instructions.
If the apparatus needs to be repaired, you must contact a specialised dealer.
Never throw the apparatus away with your household refuse. Consult your municipal regulations or return it to the dealer. Save your purchase receipt as a proof of guarantee.
