What is the price of the door latch for the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher in euros?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/05/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The door latch for the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher has the original part number 1522344058. In France, on the official site shop.aeg.fr, this latch is sold for 9.27 euros (discounted from 10.90 euros, which is a 15% reduction). It is an original AEG spare part that ensures compatibility and quality for your dishwasher model.

This latch ensures the secure closure of the door during all washing cycles and prevents water leaks. It is an essential component of your appliance's closing and locking system. AEG recommends using original spare parts to maintain the optimal performance of your dishwasher.

To purchase this part, visit the official AEG France store (shop.aeg.fr) where it is currently in stock. You can also check specialized retailers for spare parts like Spareka or SOS-Accessoire. Before proceeding with the purchase, check the compatibility of the part by entering the PNC number (11 digits) of your dishwasher found on the nameplate of your appliance.

How does the locking mechanism (door mechanism) of the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher work?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/05/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher is equipped with a door safety locking system that ensures an airtight closure throughout the washing program. This mechanism consists of a locking finger (also called a "diamond") located on the door, which fits into locking hooks attached to the main chassis of the appliance. When you close the door, the finger clicks into these hooks, automatically locking the door.

Location of the mechanism: The locking mechanism is located at the center of the door, in its lower part. The locking finger must align precisely with the metal hooks of the chassis for the closure to be complete and for the program to start.

Operation: When you press the handle to close the door, the locking finger automatically descends into the chassis lock. This mechanical locking is then validated by the appliance's electronic system, which confirms that the door is properly closed before starting a washing program. This system prevents any water leakage during the cycle.

Opening: To open the door, simply press the outer handle. The mechanism automatically unlocks at the end of the program, and you can open the door without any special effort. If the door opens slightly during the program, it will immediately interrupt.

In case of a closing problem: If the locking finger does not align properly with the hooks, first check that the dishwasher is level (the level is correct when the door closes perfectly). You can slightly press down on the top of the appliance so that the finger aligns with the locking hooks of the lock. If the problem persists or if the door refuses to close, contact an authorized AEG service technician, as this may indicate wear of the entire locking device.

What does error code 30 mean on the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher and how can it be resolved?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/05/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The error code 30 displayed on the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher indicates that the AquaStop anti-flood safety system has been triggered. This means that the water detection sensor has registered the presence of water at the base of the appliance, which may result from an internal leak or a drainage issue.

The most common causes of this code are a leak at the pipes or fittings, a damaged seal, a loose connection between components, or a water buildup caused by a drainage problem. It is also possible that the water level sensor is faulty and falsely indicates a leak, especially if condensation has accumulated around the sensor.

First step to take: immediately stop using the appliance to avoid any water damage. Then, carefully examine the bottom of the dishwasher for the presence of water or visible leaks. Also inspect all accessible pipes and fittings, including the water inlet hose, the drain hose, and internal connections, for any cracks or loose connections.

If the problem is related to drainage, check that the drain hose is not blocked and that the internal filter of the dishwasher is not clogged. You can clean the filter according to the instructions in the user manual. However, if you have identified a leak at the pipes or seals, or if the problem persists after cleaning the filter, immediately contact an authorized AEG technician, as this type of repair requires specialized intervention and should not be attempted without technical expertise.

Under no circumstances should you continue to use the appliance until the source of the problem has been properly identified and repaired, as this could cause further damage to your dishwasher and your kitchen.

How to solve the problem of the AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher door that won't close?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/05/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If the door of your AEG F78022VI0P dishwasher does not close properly, several solutions may resolve this issue. Start by checking that the appliance is level, as an incline often prevents proper closure. Adjust the front feet of the appliance using an appropriate wrench until you achieve perfect horizontal alignment, which you can verify with a level.

Next, inspect the door locking mechanism. It has a small plastic or metal latch that must engage properly with the fixed part of the appliance. Check that this latch is not stuck, misaligned, or damaged. If necessary, gently free it with a thin flat tool, without ever forcing it to avoid further damage.

Then check for any obstructions. No debris, dish residue, or packaging material should block the closing path. Carefully clean the areas around the latch and hinges. Once cleaned, apply a suitable (non-aggressive) silicone spray to the moving parts of the mechanism to facilitate movement without damaging them.

Carefully inspect the door hinges for any deformation, cracks, or misalignment. The hinges should be parallel and perfectly aligned for the door to close effortlessly. A bent or misaligned hinge will hinder closure even if the latch is functioning correctly.

After each of these checks, test the closure by opening and closing the door several times to ensure that the mechanism operates smoothly and without jerking. The door should close smoothly with a slight "click" when the latch engages properly.

If after these thorough checks the door still does not close properly, it indicates that the locking mechanism itself is faulty or that a hinge is damaged. In this case, contact AEG customer service or an authorized technician. These repairs require replacement parts that can only be installed by a qualified professional.
