Frequently Asked Questions - S8 Pro Ultra ROBOROCK

How to turn on and start the vacuum?
To turn on, press and hold the Power button (symbol (U)) for 3 seconds. The power indicator lights up. To start cleaning, briefly press the same button. Make sure the vacuum is on its station for optimal startup.
What to do if the vacuum does not charge?
Check that the power cable is properly connected and that the station indicator is on. Clean the charging contacts of the station and robot with a dry cloth. If the battery is too low, manually place the robot on the station. The ambient temperature must be between 4 and 40 °C.
How to connect the vacuum to WiFi?
Download the Roborock or Xiaomi Home app. Open the top cover and reset WiFi by pressing the (U) and () buttons simultaneously until you hear 'WiFi reset'. The WiFi indicator flashes slowly. Add the device in the app following the instructions. Only 2.4 GHz WiFi is supported.
Why is the automatic emptying not working?
Automatic emptying can be disabled in the app. Check that the station dustbin is installed and the dust bag is not full. Emptying will not trigger if the robot returns without cleaning or if Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is active. You can start a manual emptying via the app.
The vacuum does not return to its station, what to do?
Make sure the station is placed on a flat floor, with 0.7 m of free space in front and 0.8 m above. Remove obstacles. If the robot is too far, place it closer. If the map is lost, the robot can return manually. Clean the localization sensors.
Why does the scheduled cleaning not start?
Scheduled cleaning requires a battery level above 20%. Check that Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is not active during the scheduled time. Make sure the vacuum is on and connected. Use the app to adjust the schedule.
What does error 42 mean?
Error 42 indicates that the high-speed maintenance brush is stuck. Turn off the vacuum, remove the brush by unlocking the latch, and remove any entangled objects. Clean it with clean water, dry it, and reinstall it properly.
How to clean the main brushes?
Turn the robot over, press the latches to remove the main brush cover. Remove the brushes, remove hairs and dirt from the ends. Clean the brushes with a damp cloth (without corrosive detergent) and let dry before reinstalling. Replace the brushes every 6 to 12 months.
The mop does not wash automatically, why?
Make sure the VibraRise mop is correctly installed. Check that the clean water tank is not empty and the dirty water tank is not full. The water filter must be clean and properly installed. Automatic washing only triggers if the vacuum was started from the station and finds it on the map.
How to reset the vacuum to factory settings?
Turn on the vacuum. Press and hold the Power button (U) and simultaneously press the Reset button using a paperclip until you hear 'Restoring factory settings'. All settings will be erased. The robot will restart.

  • Place the dock on a flat floor away from fire, heat, and water. Avoid narrow spaces or locations where the robot may be suspended in the air.
  • Placing the dock on a soft surface (carpet/mat) may cause the dock to tilt over and cause problems docking and departing.
  • Keep the dock away from direct sunlight or anything that may block the dock location beacon; otherwise, the robot may fail to return to the dock.
  • Do not use the dock without a clean water tank, dirty water tank, high-speed maintenance brush, dustbin, dust bag or water filter.
  • Maintain the dock according to the maintenance instructions. Do not clean the dock with a wet cloth or tissue.
