What are the different operating modes of the PROLINE PSBS94IX American refrigerator and what are they for?
Frequently Asked Questions - 25/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The PROLINE PSBS94IX American refrigerator offers several operating modes tailored to different preservation needs and energy savings. Here is an overview of the main modes and their uses:

1. Refrigerator Mode

This mode maintains an ideal temperature generally between 0 and 4 °C, perfect for preserving fresh foods such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and meats.

2. Freezer Mode

This mode allows you to freeze foods at a temperature of around -18 °C or lower, which is recommended for long-term storage of meats, fish, and prepared dishes.

3. Energy Saving Mode

This mode automatically adjusts the temperature and reduces the compressor's operating frequency to optimize electricity consumption. It is advisable when the appliance is used infrequently, for example during periods of absence.

4. Vacation Mode

This mode slightly raises the temperature of the refrigerator compartment while maintaining that of the freezer, allowing you to save energy when you are away for an extended period without opening the door.

5. Super Cooling Mode

This mode temporarily lowers the refrigerator's temperature to quickly cool freshly added foods, ideal after a big shopping trip.

6. Super Freezing Mode

Similar to the previous mode, this mode accelerates the freezing of foods to preserve their quality and nutrients, particularly useful when freezing fresh foods.

These modes allow you to adapt the operation of your PROLINE PSBS94IX American refrigerator according to your specific needs, thus optimizing food preservation and energy consumption.

In order to maintain the temperature in this area, make sure not to change the position of this shelf.

In forced air refrigerators (equipped with a fan or No Frost models), the coldest area symbol is not shown because the temperature is uniform throughout the interior.

CHECKING THE TEMPERATURE IN THE COLDEST AREA

Using the temperature indicator, you should regularly check that the temperature is correct in the coldest part of your refrigerator. The temperature inside your refrigerator depends on a number of factors, such as the outside room temperature, how full your refrigerator is, and how often you open the door. Take these factors into consideration when adjusting your appliance.

When the indicator shows "OK", it means your thermostat is set properly and the temperature inside your refrigerator is correct.

If the indicator is white it means the temperature is too high, so you should increase the thermostat setting and wait for 12 hours before checking the indicator again.

After loading the refrigerator or opening the door, the indicator may turn white for a few seconds.
