Safety instructions
- Please read the instructions carefully before using the unit and save them for future reference. Should the unit be given to someone else, please include this user manual too.
- Only use the unit as described in this user manual. Any mishandling or use contrary to these instructions will relieve the manufacturer or retailer of any liability.
- Warning! Failure to follow the safety and operating instructions may result in a risk of electric shock, fire and/or injury to persons.
Warning! Never use a damaged unit! If the unit has been dropped or is damaged, unplug it from the mains socket and contact an authorised service agent. - Never use accessories or parts from another manufacturer, as this will automatically null and void the guarantee and could also damage the unit and/or cause injury. Only use manufacturer-recommended accessories.
- This unit must not be used by people (including children under the age of 16) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or people with no experience of using OR knowledge of the unit, unless they can be supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. The unit must not be cleaned, maintained or connected to the power source by children under the age of 16.
- Make sure children do not play with any part of the unit.
- Only use a compatible metal tripod stand with a metal mounting bracket when the unit is assembled.
- This unit has been designed exclusively for domestic or commercial indoor use in temperate climates. This unit must not be used in tropical or particularly humid environments.
- Install the unit on a stable, flat and dry surface.

Do not install the unit:

near open flames, such as lit candles.
- in a place that may come into direct sunlight.
- near heat sources, such as stoves, radiators or gas/electric heaters.
- near or on other significant heat-generating equipment.
- in an area near cables, water or gas pipes.
- in places subject to constant vibration.
- in dusty environments.

in damp or wet environments.

Risk of fire or electric shock! Do not use the unit near a water source, such as a bathtub, sink, bathroom, swimming pool or damp environment. Install the unit at least 2-3 metres away from any water source. Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. Never expose the unit to running water, dripping water or sprays of water. Do not place any water-filled objects - e.g. a vase - near or on top of the unit.

Serious damage may occur should any water spill on the unit. Unplug the unit from the mains and contact your retailer.
- Do not use the unit when your hands are wet or you are standing on a wet floor. Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not obstruct the air vents with items such as newspapers, tablecloths and curtains. Do not place this unit in a built-in cupboard or any other confined area. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation at all times by leaving a gap of at least 1 metre all around the unit.

Before connecting the unit to the power source, check:

that the unit, power cable and plug are not damaged. Should any of these be damaged, do not use them and take them to your retailer for repair.

that the voltage of the power source and the rated voltage correspond to the specifications indicated on the unit's nameplate.

The unit and its power cable must be easily accessible at all times.
Regulatory instructions
- Never let the power cable hang over the edge of a worktop/ table or come into contact with a hot surface.
- Make sure the power cable is not resting on any sharp edges or corners.
- Always check that the power cable has not been crushed or bent, especially where the cable is connected to the unit and plug. Keep the power cable away from any open flames or hot surfaces.
- Position the cable in such a way that it cannot pose a tripping hazard or be stepped on by accident. Do not cover the cable or place it under a heavy object.
- Do not use multi-sockets or extension leads and do not put other devices with a high power output on the same circuit, as this could lead to the unit overheating and becoming a fire hazard.
- The unit is powered when it is connected to the mains. Unplug the power cable from the mains socket to fully switch off the unit. Always switch off the socket before unplugging the unit. Use the mains socket as a means of switching off the unit.
- Do not pull on the power cable to unplug it. Do not wrap the plug cable around the unit.
- Unplug the unit from the power source during lightning storms or whenever it will not be used for an extended period of time.
- Warning! In the event of a malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, unplug the unit, then plugging it back in.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not try to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Do not insert any foreign objects into the unit. In the event of a malfunction, repairs should only be carried out by qualified personnel. - To clean your unit, disconnect the plug from the mains socket, then use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt. Do not use abrasive liquids or corrosive products, as these could damage your unit.
- Class I equipment: The unit is a Class I equipment and must be connected to a protective earth connector.

You should exercise caution when operating these speakers and make sure that the speakers are set to a comfortable listening level. Listening to very loud music can damage your hearing. Avoid listening to very loud music for extended periods of time.
Battery-related safety instructions

The batteries must be disposed of in accordance with current regulations.

- The batteries must not be charged, reactivated, disassembled, incinerated, buried or short-circuited.
- The batteries must be properly replaced with an identical or equivalent battery model.
- Do not expose the batteries to heat sources, such as sunlight or open flames. Do not place the unit on top of other heat-emitting appliances, such as radiators or fridges.
- Do not throw batteries into a fire as they could burst or release toxic substances.

Warning! Do not ingest the batteries: risk of chemical burns.
- Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.

Warning! Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
- Should the battery compartment not close properly, stop using the unit and keep it out of the reach of children.
- If you ever suspect that batteries may have been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, please seek immediate medical advice.
Regulatory instructions
- Should the batteries leak, use a cloth to remove them from the battery compartment. Dispose of the batteries in accordance with current local regulations. If acid leaks from the batteries, avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
- Remove used batteries immediately from the unit and dispose of them in accordance with current regulations.
- Remove the batteries whenever the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
Disposing of your old device
