How to set up speakers automatically with Audyssey?

Connect the supplied setup microphone, place it at the main listening position, then start 'Audyssey Setup' in the menu. The unit automatically measures and adjusts levels, distances, and equalization.

What to do if no sound comes from the speakers?

Check speaker connections, power to the unit and sources, main volume (not muted). Make sure the listening mode is not stereo if you expect surround sound.

How to connect an iPod or USB flash drive?

Use the front iPod/USB port. For iPod, use the supplied USB cable. Press the iPod/USB button to select the source. Playback can be in direct mode (on the iPod) or remote mode (displayed on screen).

The AirPlay icon does not appear in iTunes. What to do?

Make sure the computer or iPhone/iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the receiver. Check that the firmware is up to date and that AirPlay is enabled in network settings.

How to listen to Internet radio?

Press NETWORK or INTERNET RADIO to select the source. Use the menu to choose a station. An Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection is required (via a router).

Why is sound cutting out intermittently during network playback?

This may be due to insufficient network speed or line congestion. Try reducing the distance to the router, use a wired connection, or check that other devices are not using too much bandwidth.

How to reset the receiver in case of malfunction?

Turn off the unit. Hold down the INTERNET RADIO and ZONE2 SOURCE buttons, then press ON/STANDBY. Release when the display flashes. All settings will return to defaults.

Can I replace the remote control batteries?

Yes. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote, insert two R03/AAA batteries observing polarity (+/-).
Make sure to use new batteries.

How to connect a subwoofer?

Connect the subwoofer to the SUBWOOFER jack on the rear. In the 'Speakers' menu, set 'Subwoofer' to 'Yes'. If the subwoofer is active, plug in its power cord.

What audio formats are supported via USB?

Compatible formats are: MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, ALAC, MPEG-4 AAC, and JPEG for images. Copyright-protected files are not played.
