How to charge the camera battery?
Use the supplied SAC-47 AC adapter. Connect it to the camera via the SUC-C3 USB cable (20-pin connector). The indicator lights up during charging and turns off when the battery is full.
What memory card can I use?
The camera accepts SD, SDHC (up to 4 GB) and MMC (up to 2 GB) cards. Insert the card into the slot with the contacts facing the front of the camera.
How to switch to video mode?
Press the M (Mode) button until the VIDEO icon is selected. Frame your subject and press the shutter button to start recording. Press again to stop.
The recorded video is jerky, what should I do?
Check that you are using a fast memory card (Class 4 or higher). Reduce the resolution to 320x240 or the frame rate to 15 fps in the video menu. Avoid sudden movements.
How to play MP3 music?
Copy your MP3 files to a folder named MP3 at the root of the memory card or internal memory. In MULTIMEDIA mode, select the MP3 icon and choose the file. You can also view text at the same time.
Can I watch movies on this camera?
Yes, in PMP mode. Video files must be in XviD format encoded with Samsung Converter. Copy the converted files to a PMP folder at the root of the card.
How to transfer my photos to the computer?
Install the Samsung Master software provided on the CD. Connect the camera to the computer via the USB cable. Turn on the camera and select Computer on the screen. The photos will appear as a removable drive.
What to do if the LCD screen remains black?
Check that the camera is powered on. If the battery is empty, recharge it. If the problem persists, remove and reinsert the battery. If still black, contact Samsung customer service.
How to reset to factory settings?

  4. This camera has an embedded MP3, TEXT VIEWER & Portable Media Player program. You can take a picture, listen to the MP3 files and watch the movie clip (Movie and Video clip) whenever you want. To use the PMP mode, you must convert the multimedia file with the Samsung Converter. In the TEXT VIEWER mode you can see the text on the LCD monitor when listening to MP3 music.

  5. If the file or folder name is over 120 (Including 1 Byte/2 Byte language, Korean, Chinese, etc.) characters, the file or folder name doesn't appear on the play list.

Downloading files

To use MP3, PMP and TEXT VIEWER functions, MP3, PMP (multimedia files) and TEXT files must be saved in the internal memory or memory card of this camera.

  1. Save the desired files on your PC.
  2. Connect the camera to your PC with the USB cable and turn on the camera.
  3. Open Windows EXPLOREER and search for Removable Disk.
  4. Make a folder under the Removable Disk.

  • If a file can not be played back on this camera, convert it into the supported file format by using the Samsung Converter.
  • Up to 200 files and 100 sub folders can be saved in a folder.
    You can only save a total of 200 files and sub folders at one time.
  • New folders can be created within the MP3, PMP and TEXT folders. Otherwise any files in other folders that you create cannot be played back.

Insert the memory card that holds MP3, PMP and TEXT files. As this camera has a 40MB internal memory, you can save the files on the internal memory too.

  1. Select a desired Multi media mode.
  2. A menu will display as shown.

[Resume] : Memorizes the latest stopped frame.

MP3 mode : Plays back from the beginning of the file.

PMP mode: Plays back from the latest stopped frame.
