How to install the Amica IN600MS hood?
Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional. Follow the diagrams in the manual: securely attach the hood to the wall above the cooktop, respect the minimum distances (50 cm for electric, 65 cm for gas) and connect the 120 mm exhaust duct if using extraction mode.
What is the difference between extraction mode and recirculation mode?
In extraction mode, air is expelled outside via a duct. In recirculation mode, air is filtered through a charcoal filter and then returned to the room. Recirculation mode requires the purchase of a charcoal filter and does not require an exhaust duct.
How to clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with a mild detergent. It should be cleaned at least once a month to avoid fire hazards.
When should the charcoal filter be replaced?
The activated charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced approximately every 2 months (more often with heavy use). It is necessary in recirculation mode.
How to use the hood timer?
To activate the timer, touch and hold the desired speed button (1 to 4) for about 2 seconds. The indicator lights blink. The hood will automatically turn off after 10 minutes. To cancel, touch the same button again.
How to turn the lighting on or off?
Briefly touch the lighting button (bulb symbol) on the touch panel to turn the lights on or off independently of the motor.
What to do if the hood does not work?
First check that the hood is properly plugged in and that the fuse or circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the touch panel is clean and dry. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to replace the LED bulbs?
Unscrew the lighting cover (see figure 7 in the manual). Replace the defective LED module with a module of the same specifications (type, power). Reassemble the cover.
Can the hood be used with a gas hob?
Yes, but the minimum distance between the hood and the hob must be 65 cm (or more if the hob manufacturer requires it). Never leave an open flame extending beyond the pans.
What to do in case of a fault or need for parts?
Consult the warranty card for conditions. Contact an authorized repairer or Amica customer service to obtain original spare parts (filters, bulbs, etc.).
