How to install the IN600BS range hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. The hood is mounted on the wall or ceiling depending on the model. Maintain a minimum distance above the cooktop (see datasheet). Ensure the wall can support the weight. For ducted mode, connect to a 120 mm diameter exhaust duct. For recirculation mode, install a charcoal filter.
How to switch from ducted mode to recirculation mode?
For some universal models, you need to operate a lever inside the hood (see figure 8 of the manual). Remove the charcoal filters in ducted mode, and install them in recirculation mode. Make sure the exhaust duct is not used in recirculation mode.
How often should the grease filter be cleaned?
The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned at least once a month. It can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand with a mild detergent. A dirty filter reduces efficiency and poses a fire hazard.
When to replace the charcoal filter?
The activated charcoal filter cannot be washed or regenerated. It must be replaced at least every two months, or more often with heavy use. It is only used in recirculation mode.
How to use the hood timer?
To activate the timer, touch and hold the desired speed sensor (1, 2, 3 or 4) for about 2 seconds. The icon flashes. The fan will automatically stop after 10 minutes. To cancel, touch the same sensor again.
What to do if the touch keys do not respond?
Check that your hands are dry and clean. Ensure the hood is powered on. If the problem persists, unplug the hood for a few minutes and plug it back in. If nothing works, contact customer service.
How to replace the hood light bulb?
Refer to figure 7 of the manual to access the bulb. Use a bulb of the same specification (incandescent, halogen or LED) as the original. Unplug the hood before any intervention.
The hood makes noise, is that normal?
Some noise level is normal, especially at high speed. Ensure the filters are clean and the exhaust duct is not obstructed. If the noise is unusual, check that the hood is properly secured and no object is in contact with the fan.
Can I use the hood without a grease filter?
No, it is essential to use the hood with the grease filter correctly installed. Without the filter, grease can accumulate in the motor and create a fire hazard. Additionally, the warranty could be voided.
What is the minimum height between the hood and the cooktop?
The minimum distance depends on the type of cooktop. For an electric cooktop, refer to the product data sheet. If the gas hob manufacturer's instructions specify a larger distance, that must be followed (see figures 1a/b/c of the manual). Generally, the height is between 65 and 75 cm.
