Safety

General instructions Rodi AirProtect

1. You are personally responsible for the safety of your child at all times.
2. Never hold your child on your lap when driving.
3. The Rodi AirProtect is for car use only.
4. Do not use second-hand products whose history is unknown.
5. Replace the Rodi AirProtect after an accident.
6. Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it in the storage space under the Rodi AirProtect.

WARNING: Correct fitting of the car seat belt is essential for the safety of your child. The car seat belt must be installed following the red parts of the Rodi AirProtect. NEVER fit the seat belt in a way other than described.

WARNING: Do not make any changes to the Rodi AirProtect, as this could lead to unsafe situations.

Rodi AirProtect in the car

1. Use the Rodi AirProtect only on a front-facing seat that is fitted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that has been approved according to the ECE R16 standard or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.
2. Make sure the car seat can be installed properly in your car before purchasing it.
3. Always fully install the Rodi AirProtect with the car seat belt, even if there is no child in it.
4. Deactivate the airbag if using the AirProtect on the front passenger seat. If this is not possible, place the passenger seat in the rearmost position.
5. Always install both components of the Rodi AirProtect: seat + back support.

6. Make sure that fold-down rear seats are locked into position and that the back rest of the car seat is upright position.

7. Prevent the Rodi AirProtect from becoming trapped or weighed down by luggage, seats and/or slamming doors.

8. Make sure all luggage and other loose objects are secured.
9. Always cover the Rodi AirProtect when exposed to direct sunlight in the car. Otherwise, the cover may discolour and plastic parts may become too hot for your child's skin.
10. Use the anchor attached to the Rodi AirProtect headrest for better stability.
11. Turn the car's headrest the other way round or remove it if the Rodi AirProtect does not fit.

WARNING: The Rodi AirProtect must only be installed in the car in a forward-facing position

Your child in the Rodi AirProtect

1. Never leave your child unattended.
2. Always secure your child with the seat belt.
3. Make sure the headrest is adjusted to the proper height.
4. Before every use, make sure the seat belt is not damaged or twisted.
5. Remove all objects from the child's coat and trouser pockets so they cannot get stuck between the child and the seat belt. Such objects could cause injury in case of an accident.

6. Never adjust the recline position of the Rodi AirProtect whilst your child is in it.

7. Tell your child not to play with the seat belt buckle and to keep its head against the headrest.

Maintenance instructions Rodi AirProtect

1. Use the original cover only, since it is part of the safety features of this product.
2. The AirProtect cushion and the foam parts of the headrest and backrest may not be removed.
3. Clean the Rodi AirProtect regularly with lukewarm water, soap and a soft cloth. Do not use any lubricants or aggressive cleaning agents on this product.

The Rodi AirProtect has been approved in accordance with the latest European safety standards (ECE R44/04) and is suitable for children from 15 to 36 kg (approx. 3,5 years, with a maximum height of 1,50 m).

Environment

Keep all plastic packaging materials out of reach of your child to avoid the risk of suffocation.

For environmental reasons, when you have stopped using this product, we ask that you dispose of the product in the proper waste facilities in accordance with local legislation.

If you have any questions, contact your local Bébé Confort retailer (see www.bebconfort.com for contact information). Make sure that you have the following information on hand:

• Serial number on the orange ECE sticker at the bottom of the Rodi AirProtect base;
• Car make and model and seat on which the Rodi AirProtect is used;
• Age, height and weight of your child.

Warranty

Our 24 months warranty reflects our confidence in the high quality of our design, engineering, production and product performance. We confirm that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European safety requirements and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects on materials and workmanship at the time of purchase.

Our 24 months warranty covers all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manual. To request repairs or spare parts under warranty for defects in materials and workmanship you must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request.

Our 24 months warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, abusive use, negligence or the consequence of failing to comply with the user manual. Examples of normal wear and tear include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended period of time and use.

What to do in case of defects:

Should problems or defects arise, your first point of contact is your Bébé Confort dealer or retailer. Our 24 months Warranty is recognized by them (1). You must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request. It is easiest if you get your service request pre-approved by Bébé Confort Service. In principle, we pay for shipment and for return freight connected to service requests under the warranty. Damage not covered by our warranty or on products outside of warranty can be handled at a reasonable fee.

This Warranty is in compliance with to European Directive 99/44/EG of 25 May 1999.

(1) Products purchased from retailers or dealers that remove or change labels or identification numbers are considered unauthorized. Products purchased from unauthorized retailers are also considered unauthorized. No warranty applies to these products since the authenticity of these products cannot be ascertained.
