Preparing the appliance for operation

A Do not place the appliance next to a heater or another source of heat.

Place the appliance in a location, where you won't need to move it and it will not be not exposed to shocks and drafts during yoghurt maturing process.

PREPARE YOGURT C You will need 1.2 litres of pasteurized milk and a 200 ml cup of natural yogurt to fill all seven jars. The capacity of one jar is 200 ml. Instead of natural yoghurt you can also use ready Lactobacillus yoghurt bacteria (yoghurt starter) whose exact dosing guide should be printed on the package.

Before use, make sure all the ingredients are fresh and their best before date has not expired.

●● Stir yoghurt thoroughly until smooth.

●● Add yoghurt to the milk and stir thoroughly until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

1 Pour the mixture into jars.

2 Tighten the jar lids. 3 Put the jars in the heating unit. 4 Put the lid on the yoghurt maker heating unit.

When using fresh (unpasteurised) milk, first boil it and then leave to cool to a temperature of about 45°C. In order to maintain a constant temperature only use the appliance when the heating unit is covered with the lid.

5 Plug in the appliance. 6 Press the on/off button to turn on the appliance. ●● Leave appliance on for about 8 hours to allow the milk and yoghurt mixture to mature.

It is important the appliance remains still during the yoghurt maturing process otherwise it will affect the firmness of the resulting yoghurt.

7 Once the maturing process is complete press the on/off button to turn off the appliance and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. ●● Serve cooled yoghurt to your liking.

You can serve cooled yoghurt with addition of fruits or jam.

Refrigerate ready yoghurt.

Consume ready yoghurt within 10 days.

If your ready yoghurt has unpleasant odour, it may mean that the milk or other ingredients used to prepare yoghurt were off.
