Frequently Asked Questions - MG 7750 CANON

How to set up the Wi-Fi connection on the Canon PIXMA MG7750?
From the 8.8 cm color touchscreen, tap Network Settings then Wireless LAN and follow the setup wizard. For a quick connection, use WPS mode: start the procedure on the printer, then hold the WPS button on your router for a few seconds. The MG7750 also supports Ethernet for a stable wired connection.
Which ink cartridges are compatible with the Canon PIXMA MG7750?
The MG7750 uses 6 individual cartridges: the PGI-550PGBK (pigment black for sharp texts) and five CLI-551 in black (BK), cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y), and gray (GY). The gray cartridge enhances photo shading. The individual system allows you to replace only the empty cartridge, avoiding waste.
How to print borderless photos in 10x15 cm?
Load photo paper in the upper tray (capacity 20 sheets). In the print settings, select the 10x15 cm size and check the Borderless option. Printing a 10x15 cm photo takes about 21 seconds thanks to the 6 inks and Canon FINE head.
What to do if printing shows white streaks or missing colors?
Initiate a print head cleaning from the touchscreen: Settings > Maintenance > Head Cleaning. If streaks persist, perform a deep cleaning. Also check each cartridge level via the screen or Canon software: an empty gray or black cartridge can degrade quality even if the others are full.
How to scan a document in high resolution with the MG7750?
Place your document face down on the scanner glass, then press the Scan button on the touchscreen. Choose the destination (computer, USB key, cloud). The optical resolution reaches 2,400 x 4,800 dpi with a color depth of 48 bits, ideal for reproducing photos or graphic documents.
How to connect an Android smartphone via NFC to the MG7750?
Enable NFC on your Android smartphone and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app. Then bring the smartphone close to the NFC logo on the front panel of the printer: Wi-Fi pairing is done automatically. This feature allows you to print and scan directly from the mobile without a computer.
How to print from social networks with PIXMA Cloud Link?
From the touchscreen, tap the Cloud icon and connect your online accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Flickr for photos; Google Drive, OneDrive, SlideShare for documents). The printer connects directly to the service without a computer. Ensure the MG7750 is properly connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
What to do in case of a paper jam in the Canon PIXMA MG7750?
Turn off the printer before any handling. Open the access cover indicated by the message on the screen and gently remove the jammed paper in the direction of loading to avoid tearing. Check both trays (lower 125 sheets, photo tray 20 sheets) and the output area. Do not overload the trays and use paper suitable for the selected format.
How to perform print head alignment?
Go to Settings > Maintenance > Print Head Alignment from the touchscreen. The printer prints a test sheet and aligns automatically. This operation is recommended after replacing a cartridge or if you notice misaligned lines or blurry printing.
How to perform automatic duplex printing with the MG7750?
The MG7750 supports automatic duplex printing (duplex). In the print driver on your computer, enable the Duplex Printing option. This feature is available on A4 plain paper and helps reduce paper consumption. It is not available for all formats or photo paper.

How to clean the print heads on a Canon MG 7750 printer?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Regular cleaning of the print heads on your Canon MG 7750 is essential to maintain optimal print quality. This printer has two cleaning levels accessible directly from the touchscreen: standard cleaning and deep cleaning.

Standard print head cleaning: Start with this procedure if you notice white streaks, missing lines, or uneven print quality. First, ensure that the printer is turned on and that you have loaded a sheet of plain A4 or Letter paper into the tray. Access the menu by touching the Setup icon on the touchscreen, then select Maintenance. Next, touch Cleaning and confirm by pressing Yes. The cleaning cycle lasts about 2 to 3 minutes, during which you should let the printer operate without performing any other tasks. Once completed, the printer will prompt you to print a nozzle check pattern: accept to verify that the cleaning has improved print quality.

Deep cleaning: If standard cleaning is not sufficient, perform a deep cleaning. This operation uses more ink and is more intensive. Go to Setup > Maintenance, then touch Deep Cleaning and confirm by pressing Yes. This operation also lasts 2 to 3 minutes. A nozzle check pattern will be printed at the end. If you need to restart a deep cleaning, wait at least 24 hours, as this procedure consumes a significant amount of ink.

Important recommendations: Always check that the six individual cartridges of your Canon MG 7750 (PGI-550PGBK for pigment black and CLI-551 for other colors) are properly installed and contain enough ink before starting the cleaning. Only clean the print heads if necessary, as each cycle uses ink. Never attempt to rinse or wipe the FINE print head of this printer manually, as you risk damaging it. If the problem persists after two cleaning attempts, turn off the printer and try again the next day. If the quality remains unsatisfactory after these steps, contact the Canon service center, as the print head may be damaged.

How to resolve error code 6000 on the Canon MG 7750 printer that prevents scanning or printing?
Frequently Asked Questions - 29/11/2025
Response Notice-Facile

The error code 6000 on the Canon MG 7750 printer indicates a mechanical malfunction related to a paper jam or the presence of a foreign object blocking the print head carriage movement mechanism. This obstacle prevents printing and scanning tasks from being executed until it is removed. Even small debris, pieces of paper, or fibers can trigger this error.

First step: power off and inspection. Completely turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for your safety. Open the top cover to access the ink cartridges (PGI-550 and CLI-551 on your model). Thoroughly inspect the internal area with a flashlight, especially around the print head carriage. Check the carriage movement path from side to side. If you find any jammed paper, plastic, or other debris, gently remove it without forcing.

Second step: check the paper tray and feed path. Remove the lower paper tray (capacity of 125 sheets) and the upper photo tray (20 sheets) to access these areas. Examine the paper feed rollers and side guides. Look for any shredded paper or foreign objects that may have become stuck. Ensure that the rollers turn freely by gently rotating them by hand. Also, feel inside the compartment with your fingers to detect small debris.

Third step: reinstall the ink cartridges. Remove the six cartridges (Photo Black PGI-550, Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Gray CLI-551) from their slots. Check that no pieces of plastic are blocking the slots. Gently clean the electrical contacts with a dry cloth. Reinstall each cartridge by pushing it firmly until it clicks into place.

Fourth step: restart and test. Close the top cover. Replace the paper trays. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. Wait 30 seconds for the system to perform its self-diagnosis. The error message should disappear if the obstacle has been completely removed. Run a test print to check that the function works normally. If the error persists, turn the device off again and conduct a more thorough inspection of hard-to-reach areas.

If error code 6000 reappears despite these checks, it indicates a more serious hardware issue, such as a malfunctioning carriage motor or a faulty sensor. In this situation, contact Canon customer service or consult a specialized technician for professional repair. Do not attempt to force the carriage or disassemble other components, as this may damage your printer.

Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed with Licensee regarding such Contributions.
  2. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor, except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.

License or out of the use or inability to use the Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  1. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer, and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity, or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

Power Consumption and Activation Time

The amount of electricity a device consumes depends on the way the device is used. This product is designed and set in a way to allow you to reduce your electricity costs. After the last print it switches to

Ready Mode. In this mode it can print again immediately if required. If the product is not used for a time, the device switches to its Power Save Mode. The devices consume less power (Watt) in these modes. If you wish to set a longer Activation Time or would like to completely deactivate the Power Save Mode, please consider that this device may then only switch to a lower energy level after a longer period of time or not at all.

Canon does not recommend extending the Activation Times from the optimum ones set as default.

Energy Star®

The Energy Star® programme is a voluntary scheme to promote the development and purchase of energy efficient models, which help to minimise environmental impact.

Products which meet the stringent requirements of the Energy Star® programme for both environmental benefits and the amount of energy consumption will carry the Energy Star® logo accordingly.

Paper types

This product can be used to print on both recycled and virgin paper (certified to an environmental stewardship scheme), which complies with EN12281 or a similar quality standard. In addition it can support printing on media down to a weight of 64g / m^2 , lighter paper means less resources used and a lower environmental footprint for your printing needs.
