Frequently Asked Questions - HS-400 KAZ

How to turn on the HS-400 fan?
To turn on the fan, press the ON/SPEED button. First press activates low speed, second press medium speed, third press high speed. A red indicator light shows the selected speed.
Why does my fan slow down and then speed up?
This means the Breeze (BREEZE) function is activated. To deactivate it, press the BREEZE button once on the remote control or control panel. The fan will then run at constant speed.
How to set the timer on the fan?
Press the timer button. One press = 2 hours, two presses = 4 hours, three presses = 8 hours. A green indicator light lights up under the corresponding number. The fan shuts off automatically at the end of the selected period.
Can I use the Breeze function and timer at the same time?
Yes, both functions can be used simultaneously. First select the Breeze function at any speed, then set the timer to 2, 4, or 8 hours. The fan will shut off automatically after the set time.
How to clean the HS-400 fan?
Before cleaning, set the fan to OFF and unplug it. Wipe the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid immersing the fan or allowing water to enter the motor. For thorough cleaning, disassemble the front grille by detaching the clips, then remove the blades by unscrewing the button clockwise.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
Make sure the remote control is pointed directly at the front of the fan and the distance does not exceed 8 m. Check that the AAA batteries are installed correctly and are new. If the problem persists, replace the batteries.
What happens if I have two HS-400 fans with remote controls?
Both remote controls work with either fan. If you use two fans in the same room, they can be controlled by a single remote control.
How to get spare parts for the HS-400?
You can order spare parts (mounting nut, blade button, remote control) by calling customer service at 1 800 332-1110 (24/7). Payments by MasterCard, Visa, or Discover are accepted.
What is the warranty of the HS-400 fan?
The fan has a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. To make a warranty claim, return the product to the place of purchase or contact Honeywell with proof of purchase and a $10 US handling fee.
How to assemble the fan base?
Depending on the model, the base can be cross or circular. For a cross base, place the support bars, attach the connector, insert the pole aligning the groove and turn 90° clockwise until it locks. For a circular base, insert the pole into the base, align the groove and turn 90° clockwise. Do not overtighten.
