WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with that of the device (see type label).
Connect the device only in case of compliance!
Take note of the security advice!
5.2 Installation and connection
- Discard the complete packing material after unpacking the device.
- Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of the device and is not heat sensitive.
- Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as: table cloth, carpet, etc.).
- You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces, furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources.
- Do not place any acid chemicals, gases or other, easily inflammable materials near this device.
- The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the device directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
- Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removed from its socket in case of necessity.
5.3 Operating
- For hygiene reasons, before first use fill the device with approx. 6 litres of water, adjust for the highest temperature and boil for approx. 5 minutes. Then drain the container.
After boiling, rinse the container with clean water and drain it again. - Clean the glass cover thoroughly with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then rinse the cover with clean water and dry it thoroughly with the use of a soft cloth.
- Adjust the temperature control in the „0” position.

CAUTION!
It is important that there is always drinkable liquid in the container before engaging the device. You must not pour undrinkable liquids such as acids, bases or leys, oils, nitrates etc. in the mulled wine pot/preserving pot.
Pour the desired drinkable liquid in the mulled wine pot/preserving pot. Minimum filling quantity of 5 litres.

WARNING!
Never use the device when it is not filled with liquid!
- Put the plug in the power socket (the red control light will go on).

WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
During operation it must be ensured that no liquids can spill over as this can cause short-circuits in the electronic control.
Personal injury can be the result.
Pay attention to the labels inside the container!
- Before starting the device, put the glass cover so as to avoid temperature loss in the container.

WARNING! Danger of burn!
During taking the lid off there is a danger of burn by the escaping steam and condensate! Be particularly careful while doing this!
- With the use of the temperature control it is possible to adjust the temperature gradually from approx. 30^ - 100^ .
- Set the temperature control at the desired temperature by turning it clockwise (the green control light of heating will go on). When the desired temperature is reached, the control light goes off.

NOTE!
The heat is created via a heating coil in the bottom part of the mulled wine pot/preserving pot. The electric temperature control with the temperature sensor are placed here as well. The adjustment of temperature is done via the thermostat switch.

NOTE!
The heating time depends on the liquid and the amount. When the desired liquid temperature is reached the temperature controller shuts off automatically. In case the liquid temperature drops below the desired temperature the temperature controller switches on to keep the liquid at the set temperature over a larger period of time.
- In order to drain the liquid pull the small tap forward and hold it till the cup or container is filled. When this process is finished, let go of the small tap and it will shut off automatically. In order to drain the liquid in a continuous way, stop the tap by pressing it.

- Connect the device to a suitable power socket.
- Set the preserving temperature. Read the temperature and the preserving time in a cookery book or in indications of a special recipe.

NOTE!
Pay attention to the fact that the heating time does not depend on the preserving time. The preserving time starts when the green control light of heating goes off for the first time.
After preserving, disconnect the device from the power socket (take out the plug!).
- Take the jars out of the preserving pot. While doing that, use tongs for taking out jars or a cloth so as to avoid burning your hand
