How to correctly install the SCALETTA towel warmer?

To install the SCALETTA, mark the drilling points according to the L and H dimensions shown in Table 1. Secure the pins and washers with the wall plugs, insert the wall spacers and lock them with the grub screws. Finally, hang the ladder and connect the plug. Make sure the heating element is not at the top.

What are the components included in the package?

The package includes: washer, pin, grub screw, wall spacer and wall plug. All parts are necessary for wall mounting.

Can the SCALETTA be used in the bathroom?

Yes, the appliance is Class II and protected against water splashes. It must be installed in accordance with the country's regulations, away from bathtub and shower.

How do you clean the radiator?

For cleaning, turn off the radiator and use a cloth soaked in alcohol. Do not use abrasive or corrosive products to avoid damaging the surface.

How long does it take to heat up?

Thanks to the thermal inertia of the fluid, the surface temperature reaches the optimal level after about 10 minutes, depending on the model and ambient temperature.

Why are the top and bottom parts of the radiator less hot?

This is normal: as the fluid circulates, it loses heat and cools down, so the lower areas are less hot. The upper part can also be cooler. This self-regulation adapts the heat to needs.

Can I cover the radiator with towels?

Yes, the towel warmer is designed to be covered without risk. However, do not cover it completely: it could activate the internal circuit interruption device.

What to do if the radiator does not work?

Check that the radiator is properly connected and powered. If the problem persists, contact the installer or retailer, having noted the rating plate data and the commercial reference.

What is the safety distance from furniture and walls?

Place objects (furniture, armchairs) at least 50 cm from the front to promote air circulation. The radiator must not be installed below a power socket.

How to dispose of the product at end of life?

Do not dispose of it as household waste. Take the radiator to the designated collection centers for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

When choosing the position, please mark the points where you drill a hole into, by

following the measures "L" and "H" as in Tab.1 on the basis of the Scaletta's model.

Fasten the pins 02 and the washers 01 by using the wall anchors 05 (Pic. 2.1)

Put into the pins 02 the spacers 04 up to the standstill (Pic 2.2 and Pic 2.3)

Thank you for choosing this Tubes radiator, which has been manufactured in accordance with our quality charter, and we hope it will give you complete satisfaction.

SCALETTA ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

In order to make the best use of this appliance, we recommend that you read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place, as some of the instructions may be useful should problems arise.

When installing a SCALETTA towel warmer, the installation instructions supplied with the product must be taken into account.

To activate the product, connect the cable of the heating element to the electrical outlet with the plug provided.

IMPORTANT:

1. This device must never be installed with the heating element on top

2. This appliance is only intended for drying water-washed fabrics.

3. It is recommended that the heating appliance is installed in such a way that the switch or other control devices cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF THE TOWEL WARMER

Installation:

In order to make the best use of the device and for optimal comfort, it is recommended:

• if possible, install it near openings (doors, windows, etc.).
• Place objects (furniture, armchairs) at least 50 cm from the front of the appliance to promote air circulation.
• The towel warmer must not be placed under a power socket.

Connection:

The technical characteristics of the TUBES towel warmer are indicated on the data plate located on the lower part of the appliance, on the side of the heating element. It is advisable to take note of this before requesting assistance from the Service Department.

Connection to the mains power supply must be carried out in accordance with the following instructions:

• the voltage indicated on the label on the product
• the conventional colours: Brown: phase, Blue or Grey: neutral.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his technical service or a similarly qualified person, in order to prevent any risk.

SPECIAL RULES FOR INSTALLATION IN BATHROOMS

The appliance is class II protected against water projections and can be installed in bathrooms, provided that the installation complies with the applicable standards and installation regulations of the country in which it is carried out.

The appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and an understanding of the hazards involved. Cleaning and maintenance to be carried out by the user must not be carried out by children without supervision.

Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 years should only be allowed to turn the appliance on and off as long as it has been placed or installed in its normal operating position and they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 years should not plug in, adjust or clean the appliance, nor should they carry out maintenance by the user.

CAUTION - Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns.

Particular care must be taken where children and vulnerable people are present

Recycling

This appliance is not ordinary household waste. At the time of disposal, it must be deposited in the appropriate collection centres for recycling. In case of replacement, it can be sent to your distributor. This end-of-life management of a product allows us to preserve our environment and limit the use of natural resources.

The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the product without prior notice for technical or constructional improvements.

TO GET TO KNOW AND MAKE THE BEST USE OF THE TUBES TOWEL WARMER

1 - TOWEL WARMER

This electric fluid circulation unit is sold ready to use. It is closed with a cap and filled at the factory with a special high-performance fluid.

This fluid, specially developed for this type of use, is unalterable and requires no special maintenance.

As soon as the appliance is heated, phenomena different from those produced by conventional electric heating can occur:

• The electrical resistance heats the fluid, which circulates progressively and naturally inside the radiator.
• During the heating phase of the appliance, the inertia properties of the fluid mean that the surface temperature of the radiator only reaches an optimum level after 10 minutes at idle, depending on the model and the room temperature.
• It is this inertia, however, that guarantees the constancy and duration of the heat emitted, even when the resistor is no longer powered.
• It is normal to find that the top and bottom of the radiator are less warm than other areas of the heating structure. On the other hand, as the fluid circulates within the elements, it loses heat and cools, leaving a lower temperature in the lower parts of the radiator as a result.
• The radiator has a large heating surface, which allows the amount of heat emitted to be adjusted (self-regulation) to different needs. It is therefore normal that in the middle of the season, when the appliance is used less, the differences in temperature on the surface of the radiator are more noticeable.
• Tubes towel warmers are designed to be covered without risk. However, in order to ensure effective operation of the appliance, it is recommended not to cover it completely, as the temperature increase and the internal circuit breaker may interrupt the operation of the appliance.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

Before carrying out any maintenance work, switch off the appliance. The choice of the best materials and the quality of the double surface treatment protect Tubes radiators from corrosion and impact. To ensure the longevity of the appliance through simple maintenance, we recommend the following advice:

- Do not use abrasive or corrosive products to clean the outer walls of the radiator, but rather an alcohol-soaked cloth.

Checks to be carried out in the event of a malfunction or anomaly

If the appliance does not work, you can carry out the following checks yourself, making sure that:

- The towel warmer is correctly connected and powered.

Assistance Service

In the event of persistent malfunction, repeated faults (leaks, electrical disconnection, etc.) or the need for spare parts, contact your installer or dealer.

To enable proper understanding and a quick solution to the problem, make sure you take note:

• Of the items indicated on the appliance's identification plate.
• The Tubes commercial reference indicated on the sales invoice

WARRANTY

The electric radiator complies with Directive 89/336/EEC as amended by Directive 92/31/EEC on the limitation of radio interference, and with European standards EN 60.335.1/ EN 60335-2-43.

Warranty cancellation cases:

The Tubes warranty cannot be applied under the following conditions of installation or use:

- Improper use, installation or maintenance that does not comply with the applicable country standard, the rules of art and the manufacturer's instructions for use.
