Introduction

To make best use of this device, we advise you to read the following instructions carefully and keep them with care. Some of the information provided may be useful should problems arise.

RADIATOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND CONNECTION

Technical specifications

Your EVE radiator has passed the acceptance test and all the specifications related to electrical resistance(s) can be found in the specific label located in the lower part of the appliance near the power cord outlet. It is therefore recommended to examine this before connecting to the power supply.

Connecting the radiator

Connection to the electricity mains must be carried out in compliance with the following:

• the voltage of the electricity mains must correspond to the voltage shown on the label located in the lower part of the appliance near the power cord outlet.
• the power cord must not be damaged; if it is, it must only be replaced by the manufacturer or by its service centre, or by a technician with similar qualifications in order to prevent any risk.

Positioning the Appliance

The EVE radiator must be positioned at a distance of at least 40 cm from any furniture, curtains, standard lamps, etc. to avoid their deterioration.

The appliance must also NOT be placed immediately below a power socket.

No problem for walls, stairs and other fixed structures of the home.

USE IN BATHROOMS

Do not use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, a shower or a swimming pool.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS

⚠ The appliance may be used by children, provided they are NOT under 8 years of age, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or without experience or the necessary knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and an understanding of the inherent dangers. Cleaning and maintenance to be carried out by the user must not be done by children without supervision.

Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children under 3 years of age must be kept at a distance if not continuously supervised.

Children between 3 and 8 years of age must only switch the appliance on/off provided that it has been placed or installed in its normal operating position and that they are supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the appliance and understand the inherent dangers. Children between 3 and 8 years of age must NOT insert the plug, adjust or clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

⚠ WARNING- Some parts of this product may become VERY HOT and cause burns. Particular attention must be paid where children and/or vulnerable

people are present.

⚠ WARNING- DO NOT use it in small rooms when these are occupied by people unable to leave the room alone, unless they are under constant supervision.

⚠ WARNING- Do not insert any object into the air outlet slit. Keep the device clear of dust, fluff, hairs and any other material that may reduce the air flow.

The appliance must not be cove-y clothing, cloth, blankets, cloths fabrics of any kind, to avoid overhe-and the risk of fire.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the greatest safety for users, this device automatically switches off, if it is overturned or overheats.

In such cases, disconnect the device from the mains power outlet and allow it to cool.

Before switching back on, check that there is nothing blocking the air outlets and make sure that the device is placed on a stable and flat surface.

Do not pull on the power cord.

Do not cover to avoid overheating and the risk of fire.

Do not place close to heat sources.

Do not use near to open flames.

Do not spray air fresheners into the vents.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

SWITCHING ON

To use Eve, you must first connect the power cord to the electrical socket using the plug supplied.

Two keys on the body of the Eve radiator, acting as indicator LEDs as well as touch controls, show when the device is switched on or off.

Only when first switched on, Eve automatically performs the set-up and the two LEDs emit WHITE light for 10 seconds. Eve then goes into Stand-by mode and the user can select the desired operating mode.

When switched on subsequently,

Eve will already be set up and the two LEDs will emit WHITE light only for 2 seconds. In this case too, Eve then goes into Stand-by mode and the user can select the desired operating mode.

Stand-by mode is indicated when the ON/OFF control ⏻, lights up, turning RED, and the MODE control ≈, control switches off, followed by a beep. To activate the device, press the ON/OFF control ⏻. Eve will start to work effectively.

When it is first switched on, Eve's default settings are as follows:

- Temperature set: 32° C

• Light: on at 45% intensity
- Open window detection: off
- Programme times:
SAT-SUN 17:00-24:00;

MON-FRI	06:00-09:00;
	11:00-14:00;
	07:00-24:00;

- Wi-Fi on and in access point mode. The network is called “TUBES EVE - XXXXXXXXXXXX”, where the Xs correspond to the MAC address of the Wi-Fi module.

OPERATING MODE

Make sure that the device is in Stand-by mode. The operating modes can be selected using the two keys on the body of Eve that act as touch controls, as well as indicator LEDs.

To turn on the desired control, simply lightly touch the icon corresponding to that control with your finger.

Do not press.

- LIGHTING Mode

Lighting provides a dimmable light emitted from the lower vent of the body. It is turned on using the following procedure:

Touch the ON/OFF control ⏻ for 3 seconds: the device emits a sound (a beep) and the light turns on. The command LED is always RED.

Touch the ON/OFF control ⏻ for another 3 seconds: tthe device emits another sound (a beep) and the light turns off. The command LED continues to be RED.

Dimmable light intensity can be adjusted. Light intensity adjustment can only be performed when the heating is on. Therefore, after activating the heating in one of the two modes listed (follow the instructions below), choose the desired intensity of the light by kee-

ping pressing the MODE control ≈ for more than 6 seconds: the light begins to alternate med and bright phases of light until the command is released at the desired level.

Once the intensity has been adjusted as desired, it will be possible to switch off the heating and bring Eve to Stand-by by touching the ON/OFF control ⏻ for 1 second. Then touch the ON/OFF control ⏻ again for 3 seconds: the light will turn on at the intensity just set. The set intensity remains in memory for all the successive light switch-on until a new adjustment, according to the procedure just described.

- HEATING Mode

Heating involves emission of a heat through the openings in the structure, adjusted according to two different power levels. It is turned on using the following procedure:

• Touch the MODE control ≈ for 1 second: the LED turns ORANGE and the device emits a high power flow of hot air (about 800W);
• Touch the MODE control ≈ for 1 second: the LED turns GREEN and the device emits a low power flow of hot air (about 400W);
• Touch the MODE control ≈ for 1 second: the LED turns ORANGE again. If you continue to click on the MODE control, the device will alternate between the two heating modes.

Heating is always accompanied by Eve's ventilation. When the heating comes on, you have to wait a few minutes before Eve effectively begins to heat to allow the device to detect the indoor temperature. This “adjustment ventilation” phase varies according to the temperature detected and may last a few minutes.

To exit each of these modes, you only

have to switch the device back to stand-by mode by touching the ON/OFF control ⏻. Heating is immediately turned off. However, ventilation continues for a time varying from 2 to 20 minutes, according to the temperature detected internally, in order to cool the temperature inside the device. After this time has ended, the device switches off.

- 2 hr BOOST mode

The Boost 2h mode operates the heating at MAXIMUM power (32°C) for a total duration of two hours from the activation of the same.

Both in Stand-by and in the heating phase, the Boost 2H is activated by the following procedure:

- Touch on the MODE command ≈ for 4 seconds, a, after which the device will emit a sound (a beep) that indicates the correct activation of the Boost mode. The LED turns to DARK RED.

After two hours have elapsed, the device will automatically return to Stand-by or in the set mode if the heating was in operation before activating the Boost 2H.

To exit this mode before the two hours expire, there are two solutions:

• Return to the pre-Boost heating mode by touching again for 4 seconds the MODE command ≈). In this case too, you will hear a sound (a beep) that indicates the correct reactivation of the previously activated mode;
• Bring the device to Stand-by status by touching the ON/OFF control ⏻ .

Wi-Fi and PLUG&PLAY APP CONFIGURATION

You can control the temperature of your home when you are away from it, thanks to the TUBES Plug&Play app. The TUBES Plug&Play app allows you to turn your Eve on or off, raise or lower, and programme its temperature direct-

ly from your smartphone, at any time and wherever you are.

The device has its own Wi-Fi network known as “TUBES EVE-XXXXXXXXXX” (where the Xs correspond to the MAC address of the Wi-Fi module inside the device). This network allows it to connect to the home Wi-Fi network and be programmed remotely.

How to set up the Wi-Fi network

When first switched on, the device automatically performs the Wi-Fi network set-up.

The two LEDs on the body of the device emit a WHITE light for 10 seconds until set-up is complete. Eve then goes into stand-by mode and the user can select the desired operating mode

- If, for any reason, the set-up is not successful, the device will automatically repeat this procedure the next time the device is switched on.

When switched on subsequently, the device automatically connects to the Wi-Fi network with the settings entered when the app was last used.

How to Enable/Disable the Eve Wi-Fi network

If you wish to disable the Eve Wi-Fi network, you must unplug the device and then plug it back in again. Immediately after plugging it back in, touch both touch controls at the same time for 5 seconds, as soon as the two white LEDs light up.

After 5 seconds, Eve emits a beep, signalling that the two touch controls can be released. If the network has been successfully disabled, 3 beeps will signal that the Wi-Fi is now switched off.

Use the same procedure if you wish to switch the Eve Wi-Fi network back on again. After 5 seconds, Eve emits a beep, and you can release the controls. If the operation has been successful, 2 beeps will signal that the Wi-Fi is now switched on.

TUBES Plug&Play App

Perform the following steps to connect the Eve network to your home Wi-Fi network

- Download the TUBES Plug&Play app from Google Play or the App Store of your smartphone. In the meantime, make sure that your home Wi-Fi network is switched on.

(The home Wi-Fi connection to which the device is to be connected must allow TCP connections towards the exterior, via the 12345 port. For 99% of home Wi-Fi connections, this is the default setting.)

- Open the app and access your credentials. On your first access, register by entering a User Name, an e-Mail address and a Password as requested.

- Exit the app temporarily and access your phone's Wi-Fi Settings. Connect to the Eve network called “TUBES Eve-XXXXXXXXXX”. The Xs will be replaced by a series of digits that identify the Eve Wi-Fi network.

NB: it is essential to access the app BEFORE connecting to the Eve network: therefore you must open the app on your smartphone; only after doing so you can search for the Eve network. Inverting these two steps may cause problems.

- Once your smartphone is connected to the Eve network, go back to the app and click the settings icon on the top right of the screen. Click “Configure the Wi-Fi” to connect Eve to your home network.

- Select your home network from the list of available networks, enter the password for the selected network and wait for Eve to be correctly configured for the network.

• Then return to the app's home page and click "Add". Scan the QR code of your Eve on the label on the device and rename the device as you wish.
• Eve is now shown in OFFLINE mode. Connection of the networks and switching to ONLINE mode may take a few seconds. After this has been completed you can begin using Eve from remote via the TUBES Plug&Play App.

This procedure is required every time a new Tubes Plug&Play product is used, or if you change your home Wi-Fi network, or following a reset of the product's settings. You can use more than one Tubes Plug&Play device remotely via the app.

The TUBES Plug&Play App also allows you to make the most of all the Eve features previously described. Additionally, there are features that can be used only via app and these are listed below:

- Temperature Control NB: this can only be used via the TUBES Plug&Play App.

Eve's heating temperature can only be controlled via the TUBES Plug&Play App. All you need to do to set the desired temperature is to move the cursor along the temperature control bar on the Eve home page. When the set temperature is reached, Eve remains in maintenance mode, that is it keeps the room at the set temperature (automatically switching the resistances on and off according to the temperature measured).

Remember that the temperature set via the app remains stored and the device will be automatically set to that temperature every time it is switched back on again. The only way to change the temperature without the app is to use the reset to factory settings procedure, which restores the temperature, open window detection and weekly programming to their original settings.

- Lighting Control

The brightness of Eve's lighting can be controlled via the TUBES Plug&Play App too. By clicking "lighting" in the extra features at top right, you only need to move the cursor along the brightness control bar until you reach the desired level.

Remember that the brightness of the light set via the app remains stored and the device will be automatically set to that brightness every time it is switched back on again.

• Automatic Mode (Weekly Programming) NB: this can only be used via the TUBES Plug&Play App.

The Automatic Mode allows you to pro-gramme the heating in advance (24 hours a day and 7 days a week) to maximize comfort in your home and re-duce energy wastage even when you are away from home. More specifically, it allows you to set the times when you want to turn the heating on and offe-very day of the week.

To access Weekly Programming with the app, click the extra features icon at top right and select “Weekly Programming”. Select the times of day when you want the heating to be turned on. A white circle around the selected time shows when heating is set to be turned on. Then enable the “Automatic Mode”.

During the times when heating is on, Eve operates at medium power (moderate flow) to reach the room temperature set on the home page. When Weekly Programming is set via app, the MODE control ≈ becomes YELLOW When the temperature set for the programmed time period is reached, Eve does not switch off, but remains in maintenance mode (automatically switching on and off according to the detected temperature).

- Open window detection NB: this can only be used via the TUBES Plug&Play App

When the device detects a sudden drop in temperature (presumably because a door or a window has been opened) the heating is temporarily switched off for 30 minutes or until the room temperature starts to rise again. When an open window is detected, the LED on the MODE key ≈ flashes with a colour corresponding to the selected mode of operation.

To use this feature with the app, click the extra features icon at top right and select "Open Window".

- Identify Device NB: this can only be used via the TUBES Plug&Play App.

This feature allows you to locate a device when lost or to identify a specific device when it is placed in a room where there is more than one device remotely programmed via the TUBES Plug&Play app.

By enabling this feature, the device can be recognised because it emits 4 beeps and the two LEDs flash simultaneously. To use this feature with the app, click the extra features icon at top right and select “Identify Device”.

RESET

This procedure resets the temperature, weekly programming and open window detection to the default settings. Additionally, the Wi-Fi settings are reset (procedure required if you want to connect the device to a different network). To reset the device to factory settings, you must unplug it and plug it back in again. Immediately after plugging it back in again, as soon as the two LEDs light up, touch both touch controls at the same time for at least 10 seconds. You will then hear 5 beeps, signalling

that the reset procedure has begun. (This is the same procedure as the one performed to enable/disable Wi-Fi connection; however, you need to ignore the beep you will hear after 5 seconds, and keep touching the controls for at least 10 seconds.)

During the reset, both the MODE ≈ and the ON/OFF controls ⏻ controls emit- alternating- a WHITE FLASHING light. When the reset has ended, a single beep signals that the operation has been completed. The device returns to Stand-by status.

NB: to reset the setting, the Eve Wi-Fi must be turned on. If the Wi-Fi is not turned on, it will not be possible to reset Eve.

MALFUNCTIONS

In the event of malfunctions, the touch control LEDs will flash. The following malfunctions are possible:

Overturn Alarm

If the device is accidentally knocked over and overturned, ventilation and heating are temporarily turned off. The MODE control ≈ signals the anomaly with a FLASHING WHITE light.

When it is returned to the correct position, the device goes back to the mode in which it was operating before being overturned.

NTC Alarm

If the device detects a temperature probe malfunction, heating is temporarily turned off. Ventilation on the contrary remains on for two minutes and then the top is automatically lowered and the device switches off. The two LEDs emit synchronised FLASHING DARK RED lights. This alarm indicates a temperature probe malfunction. Please contact the Tubes Technical Service.

MAINTENANCE ADVICE

Before carrying out any maintenance, switch off the appliance. The choice of the best materials and the quality of the double surface treatment protect the Tubes radiator against corrosion and impact. Simple maintenance ensures long life of the appliance. The following suggestions are recommended:

• Clean the outside walls of the radiator, preferably using a damp cloth.
• DO NOT use abrasive or corrosive products.

Checks to be carried out in case of failure or malfunctions.

If the appliance does not work, you can perform the following checks, making sure that:

• The radiator is correctly connected to the mains.
  • The mains is powered.

Technical Service

In case of persistent malfunctioning, repeated faults or the need for spare parts, please contact the reseller from which you purchased the product. To facilitate a rapid solution of the problem, make sure you have taken note of the following information:

• data shown on the identification label placed on the appliance.
- Tubes commercial representative indicated on the purchase invoice.

WARRANTY

The electrical product complies with Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC electromagnetic compatibility); Directive 2014/35/EU (Low voltage Directive - LVD); RoHs Directive 2014/65/EC; Directive 2014/53/EU RED (Radio Equipment Directive).

Cases of invalidity of the warranty: The Tubes warranty cannot be applied in the following conditions of installation or use:

- Installation or maintenance that does not comply with the current legislation of the country, the rules of good practice and the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Disposal

This appliance is not ordinary domestic waste. It must be disposed of at the appropriate recycling centres. In case of replacement, contact the retailer from which you purchased the product. This end-of-life management of a product helps us preserve our environment and limit the use of natural resources. The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the product for technical or construction improvements without notice.
