How do I use my steam generator for the first time?

Before first use, remove any label or protective film from the soleplate. Set to maximum power and iron a cloth for several minutes in steam mode. It is normal for a strange odor to be released and for particles to come out of the soleplate: they disappear quickly.

What type of water should I use in the tank?

We recommend mixing 50% tap water and 50% demineralized water, especially if the water in your area is hard. Do not exceed the MAX mark (capacity 1.8 L).

Why does steam come out automatically at the beginning of heating?

When the soleplate heats up, a little steam comes out automatically for about 3 seconds. This is a normal phenomenon.

How do I iron vertically?

Hold the iron in a vertical position and press the steam button. This allows you to iron curtains, jackets, suits, or hanging coats.

What should I do if my iron produces no steam?

Check that the tank is correctly placed and that the soleplate has reached the desired temperature. Steam does not come out at the lowest temperatures. If the pump makes a loud noise, you may need to refill the tank.

How do I clean my steam generator?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Empty the tank, clean the housing with a soft damp cloth without abrasive products. Store the cord in the reel.

Can I use only tap water?

Yes, but to avoid limescale, it is recommended to mix half tap water with half demineralized water, especially in hard water areas.

How do I set the temperature according to the fabric?

Check the item's label. Start with delicate fabrics (synthetic fibers) at low temperature, then increase for cotton and linen. 100% wool garments should be steam ironed at maximum power with a dry cloth.

Is the appliance safe for children?

The appliance can be used by children over 8 years old under supervision. The iron and its cord must be kept out of reach of children under 8 years old, as the soleplate becomes very hot.

Why is the pump making a loud noise?

If the pump makes a loud noise, it usually indicates a lack of water. Fill the tank so that the appliance works normally.

General:

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.

2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.

6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.

7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.

8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Specific:

• The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
• Remove the plug from the socket before filling the appliance with water.
• The appliance must be used and placed on a stable surface.

• When placed on its stand, make sure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

• The iron should not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking water.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove any sticker, protective foil or storage cover from the soleplate.
2. Heat up the iron to maximum temperature and iron over a piece of damp cloth for several minutes for the purpose of removing any residue on the soleplate according to the section of "Steam ironing".

NOTE: It is normal that strange odor comes out from the unit for the first use. This will cease after a short while.

Some particles may come out of the soleplate when you use the iron for the first time. This is normal; the particles are harmless and stop coming out of the iron after a short while. When you switch on the appliance, the steam station iron may produce a pumping sound. This is normal; the sound tells you that water is pumped into the soleplate. During the heating process of the soleplate, there will be little steam coming out from the soleplate automatically and this phenomenon will continue for about 3 seconds, this is normal.

The appliance has two iron portions. You can use dry ironing or steam ironing. The details refer to the following:

Dry ironing

1. Put the iron on the steam station iron's thermal insulating cushion.
2. Connect the plug to wall outlet, one "D" sound of buzzer can be heard and the temperature indicator starts to illuminate.
3. Turn temperature dial to your desired setting, which is depended on the fabric of garment, refer to IRONING TIPS latter. The soleplate starts to be heated up and the temperature indicator begins to flash.
4. When the temperature indicator changes from flashing to illuminating, it means the selected temperature is reached and you now can start ironing.

WARNING: Never touch hot soleplate at any time before cooling down!

Steam ironing

1. Grasp the water tank handle with the hand and press the tank release button with one finger to move out the water tank. Open the filling cap and fill water into the water tank. You had better use

purified water with less calcium particles. After it, close the filling cap. The max capacity of water tank is 1.8L, the water level shall not be exceeded the MAX mark.

Note: If the tap water in your area is very hard, we advise you to mix it with an equal amount of distilled water.

1. Replace the detachable water tank properly.

Note: If the water tank is not properly placed, the iron does not produce any steam.

1. Put the iron on the steam station iron's thermal insulating cushion.

3. Turn temperature dial to your desired setting, which is depended on the fabric of garment, refer to IRONING TIPS latter. The soleplate starts to be heated up and the temperature indicator begins to flash.

Note: During ironing, the temperature indicator goes on from time to time. This indicates that the iron is heating up to the set temperature.

Note: The system may occasionally produce a pumping sound during steam ironing. This is normal and tells you that water is pumped into the soleplate.

1. Press the steam trigger to release steam for ironing.

Caution:

7.1 Do not touch hot soleplate at any time before cooling down!

7.2 Never direct the steam at people!

7.3 The supply cord may become hot during a long ironing session.

7.4 The appliance may not release steam if appropriate soleplate temperature has not achieved or correct temperature setting has not been selected. (There is no steam released under temperature setting 1 and 2.)

7.5 The water tank may need to be refilled if the pump produces larger noise.

1. After ironing, you can put the iron the thermal insulating cushion. Remove the plug from the wall socket. But the soleplate is still hot, never touch it with hand, place it on the thermal insulating cushion until it cools down completely.

2. And you can hold the iron in vertical position and press the steam trigger to iron hanging curtains and clothes (jackets, suits, coats).

3. The iron has an anti-drip function. When the temperature is lower than the selected temperature, no matter if press down the steam trigger or not, the iron will stop spraying steam automatically to avoid water droplets coming out from the soleplate.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, firstly disconnect the power outlet and let the appliance cools down.

1. Wipe flakes and any other deposits on the soleplate with a damp cloth or a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner. NOTE: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to scrape the soleplate.
2. Clean the upper part of iron with a soft damp cloth. Wipe the water drop on the steam station iron and the thermal insulating cushion with dry cloth.
3. When do not use the appliance for a long time, pour out the water in the tank, and store the iron on the thermal insulating cushion.
4. Wind the iron cord and power cord around the cord winding groove and secure it by the cord clamps.

IRONING TIPS

-Always check first whether a label with ironing instructions is attached to the article. Follow these ironing instructions in any case.
-The iron heats up quicker than cooling it down, therefore, you should start ironing the articles requiring the lowest temperature such as those made of synthetic fiber.
-If the fabric consists of various kinds of fibers, you must always select the lowest ironing temperature to iron the composition of those fibers.
-Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become shiny should be ironed on the inner side. -Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one direction with light pressure applied. Always keeps the iron moving at any moment.
-Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the steam iron. Preferably set temperature dial to the maximum position and use a dry cloth as a mat.
- Never iron over zip, rivet in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate. Iron around any such object.

NOTE: When ironing woolen fabrics, shining of the fabric may occur. So it is suggested that you should turn the article inside out and iron the reverse side.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.

The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
