Frequently Asked Questions - AM300 EVO Atoll

What is the power output of the Atoll AM300 EVO?
The AM300 EVO delivers 150 Wrms per channel into 8 Ω, 280 Wrms per channel into 4 Ω, and 500 W in bridged mono mode into 8 Ω.
How do I set the amplifier to Mono Bridge mode?
Unplug the amplifier, set the rear input switch (5) to MONO, connect the preamp's PRE-OUT to the Right inputs of each amplifier, then connect the right speaker terminal (red) to the speaker's positive terminal and the left speaker terminal (red) to the speaker's negative terminal.
What is the 12V trigger input used for?
The Trigger input allows the amplifier to be turned ON or put to SLEEP simultaneously with another device equipped with a 12V trigger outlet. Use a male-to-male 3.5 mm stereo jack cable, and keep the front ON/SLEEP button in SLEEP (0) position.
How should I clean the AM300 EVO?
Switch off the amplifier before cleaning. Use a soft, dry rag. Never use acetone, white-spirit, ammonia, or abrasive products, and never attempt to clean inside the device.
What are the input options on this amplifier?
The amplifier offers one RCA stereo input and one XLR stereo input. A rear selector switch lets you choose between Line (RCA) and XLR modes.
Why is there a delay when switching on the amplifier?
The temporized switch-on activates a relay that protects the loudspeakers from over-voltage on the power output stage, ensuring a safe start-up.
What should I do if the front LED flashes and the sound is muted?
This indicates the thermal protection has been activated due to overheating. The sound remains muted until the amplifier cools down; check ventilation and reduce heat sources if necessary.
How long should I warm up the amplifier before listening?
Switch it on at least half an hour before listening so the power stage reaches its ideal working temperature. Between uses, leave it on to stay at optimum temperature, but switch it off at night or when leaving home.
What is the weight and size of the AM300 EVO?
The amplifier weighs 16 kg and has dimensions of 440 x 351 x 103 mm.
What is included in the box with the AM300 EVO?
The package includes the AM300 EVO power amplifier, a power lead, and the owner's manual with the certificate of guarantee.
