ATENCIón
- Read these instructions before switching on the appliance. Keep them for future reference.
- Check that the voltage in your home matches that stated on the appliance's specifications plate.
- IMPORTANT: Never use the vacuum cleaner without the paper bag or the protective filters correctly fitted.
- Always unplug your vacuum cleaner after use and before carrying out maintenance work or changing the filters on the appliance. Always pull on the plug, never on the cord.
- Observe the indication for changing the dust bag and check it or change it when the indicator shows that the dust bag is full.
- If you have not inserted a dust bag or if the dust bag is not correctly in position, you will not be able to close the cover on the appliance. This is normal: do not force the vacuum cleaner cover.
- Do not vacuum clean toner powder. The toner that is used in printers and photocopiers, for example, can be a conductor of electricity.
- Do not vacuum substances that are flammable or explosive (gases). Do not use the vacuum cleaner in places where these substances are stored. The vacuum cleaner could explode.
- Never vacuum live ash, splinters, sharp objects, or liquids.
- When you vacuum with the turbo brush, do not touch the rollers while they are turning. They represent an injury hazard.
- Keep the vacuum cleaner away from heat and damp.
- Never handle the vacuum cleaner or the plug with wet hands. Do not immerse the appliance or get it wet.
- Keep it out of the reach of children.
- Do not pull hard on the cord, and never pull it out beyond the red mark indicating the end of the cable.

USERINSTRUCTIONS
- Check that the dust-bag container (7) and filters (9-16) are fitted correctly. See the following section (Changing the dust bag, the motor protection filter and the air outlet filter).
- A mechanical safety catch prevents the top cover of the vacuum cleaner from closing if the dust bag is not fitted or if it is fitted incorrectly.
- To open the bag compartment (6), press the dust bag container button (5) and lift the cover.
- To close the compartment, lower its cover and press down with the hand, in the opening space, until you hear a click. If you cannot close the cover, check that you have fitted the dust bag in the compartment and that the bank is fitted correctly.
- Fit the flexible pipe (19) by inserting one end into the suction nozzle (17), pressing on it and turning it to the right and left until you hear a click.
- Before using the vacuum cleaner, prepare the attachments for the surface to be cleaned. They snap on with a gentle turn. The attachments can be placed directly on the flexible hose (19) or, for out-of-reach places, the telescopic metallic tube (4) can be used.
- The suction brush (21) on these models can be used for all types of floors, carpets, and rugs. This brush is retractable depending on the surface to be vacuumed. To change the cleaning position of the brush, press the brush button (22). We recommend cleaning hard floors, wood and parquet with the fibre brush extended, and cleaning carpets and rugs with the fibre brush retracted. Before cleaning any surface, we recommend you observe the cleaning and care instructions issued by the floor manufacturer.
- The parquet brush (27) (AB2850 and AB2840 models) is a special brush with natural bristles for vacuuming delicate hard wooden floors, such as parquet and flooring.
- Thanks to its roller system, the turbo brush (28) is appropriate for cleaning carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture and mattresses.
- Other accessories include the nozzle for upholstered surfaces (24), whose function is to vacuum the dust from upholstered furniture, as well as mattresses, cushions, curtains and similar. Furniture brush (25) used for cleaning various pieces of furniture, edges, computer keyboards. Flat suction nozzle (22) for cleaning cracks, corners and pleats. These accessories are fitted as per the vacuum brush (21) (see above). All these accessories can be stored in the accessory holder (3) fitted on the telescopic metal pipe. Fig. 1
- The vacuum cleaner can now be plugged in. Take out the cord and press button (11), or the remote control button (36) (AB2850 model).
Regulate the suction power by turning the power selector (13) manually to the desired power level. (AB2845 / AB2840 / AB2830 / AB2800 models).
Fig. 2
- In model AB2840, symbols are given for the recommended suction power levels, which have been adapted to the services and objects indicated by the symbols.

Curtains, fabrics, light rugs.

Upholstered furniture, cushions, mattresses.

Economy mode (energy-saving position).

Hard floors, rugs, carpets.
- On the AB2850 model, it is possible to regulate the suction power using the remote control on the grip or on the body of the vacuum cleaner itself:
1.- For greater convenience, you can regulate the power from the remote control, pressing the + / - buttons (35) until the desired power level lights up. If you wish to increase the suction power, press the + button. If you wish to decrease the suction power level, press the - button. Fig. 3
2.- To regulate the power from the body of the vacuum cleaner, press the + / - buttons (29) until the desired power level lights up. If you wish to increase the suction power, press the + button. If you wish to decrease the suction power level, press the - button. Fig. 4
- You can also adapt the suction power mechanically, opening or closing the device on the grip (1).
- When finished, switch off with button (11) or press the on-off button (36) on the remote control (AB2850 model). Unplug it and press button (12) to wind up the cord. Hold the cord plug in your hand to prevent it from banging against the vacuum cleaner housing.
- If you wish, use the handle (10) to carry the vacuum cleaner while using it to get into difficult places. The wheels and the handle are made of protective rubber to ensure care of your most delicate furniture. The compact size of the vacuum cleaner means it is easy to use.
- If you wish to stop vacuuming, you can place the brush conveniently in the horizontal parking frame (15), avoiding the inconvenience of having to leave the pipes and brush on the floor.
- To carry and store the vacuum cleaner more easily, we recommend you place it in vertical position. To do this, fit the accessory holder (3) in the vertical parking support (20) on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner body.
CHANGING THE DUST-BAG, THE MOTOR PROTECTION FILTER AND THE AIR OUTLET FILTER
- If you vacuum a large quantity of fine powder, for example: dust from drilling, sand, plaster or flour, the pores of the bag will get blocked. When this

happens, the bag must be changed since the blocked pores reduce the suction power.
CHANGING THE DUST-BAG (7)
AB2850 MODEL
- When the pilot light (30) flashes, the paper bag must be changed. This indicator (30) may come on because of something stuck in the hose or one of the accessories. To find out if that is the case, unplug the vacuum cleaner, remove the hose, and turn the vacuum cleaner on again. Turn it on and if the pilot light (30) does not come on, remove the object from the flexible pipe or the accessory you are using. Fig. 5
- To change the dust bag (7), unplug the vacuum cleaner and proceed as follows:
1.- Press the dust bag button (5) and lift the cover.
2.- Remove the bag by sliding the dust bag frame upwards (8), pressing on the tab that holds the bag in place and put it in the rubbish bin. Fig. 6
- Insert the new bag into the frame (8). Clip the card at the top of the new bag with the support tab. Insert the bag support along the interior guide of the bag compartment as far as possible. It is very important for the bag to be fitted correctly. Make sure that once the bag has been fitted in the frame the hole in the bag coincides completely with the bag support hole.
Fig. 7
- Close the bag compartment cover.
- The vacuum cleaner is fitted with a safety mechanism that prevents the top cover from closing if no dust bag has been fitted or if it is fitted incorrectly. In this case, it is important not to force the cover.
AB2845 / AB2840 / AB2830 / AB2800 MODELS
- When the bag full indicator (14) comes on, the paper bag must be changed. Fig. 8 This indicator (14) may come on because of something stuck in the hose or one of the accessories. To find out if that is the case, unplug the vacuum cleaner, remove the hose, and turn the vacuum cleaner on again. Turn it on and if the pilot light (14) does not come on, remove the object from the flexible pipe or the accessory you are using. To change the dust bag (7), unplug the vacuum cleaner and proceed as follows:
1.- Press the dust bag button (5) and lift the cover.
2.- Remove the dust bag frame completely (8), pressing on the tab that holds the bag in place to release it and put it in the rubbish bin. Fig. 6
- Insert the new bag into the frame (8). Clip the card on the new bag with the tab. Slide the bag frame along the bottom guide as far as possible.

CHANGING THE MOTOR PROTECTION FILTER (9)
- Always unplug your vacuum cleaner before cleaning or changing the filters.
- When the motor protection filter (9) is dirty (once or twice a year, depending on use), open the vacuum cleaner, pressing the dust bag button (1), and lift the cover.
- Remove the filter (9) by pulling the top upward. Shake the motor protection filter (9) well or wash it if it is very dirty, and allow it to dry completely. Fig. 9
- Important: Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the motor protection filter or if the motor protection filter is not completely dry under any circumstances.
CHANGING THE AIR OUTLET FILTER (16)
- Always unplug your vacuum cleaner before cleaning or changing the filters.
-
Depending on the model of your vacuum cleaner, it has a different air outlet filter fitted as standard:
-
HEPA filter (AB2850 and AB2830 models).
The HEPA filter (high efficiency of micro-particles in the air) eliminates particles of more than 0.3 microns, filtering dust, pollen, fumes, spores and even bacteria.
- Micro-filter (AB2800 and AB2840 models).
-
Active carbon filter (AB285 model).
-
It is important to change or clean the air outlet filter at least once a year to maintain suction power and conserve the vacuum cleaner correctly. You can note down the date on which you began to use the filter on the air outlet filter support. There is a space for this purpose on the filter support itself.
- To remove the air outlet filter (16), remove the air outlet grille by pressing the tab down and pulling the filter out. Fig. 10
- Important: Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the dry air outlet filter fitted under any circumstances.
REMOTE CONTROL UNIT MAINTENANCE (AB2850 MODEL)
- Always unplug your vacuum cleaner before carrying out maintenance on the appliance.

- Depending on use, the batteries in the remote control must be replaced every 12-24 months after the appliance has been started up for the first time. The battery type is LR03 (also known as AAA).
- When the batteries are flat, you can continue to use the vacuum cleaner by using the controls on the body of the appliance.
- To replace the batteries in the remote control, open the battery compartment cover (38) and remove them. Fig. 11
- Change the batteries, taking into account the polarity.
- Close the battery compartment.
- Throwaway used batteries in the corresponding container. Never throw them away with domestic waste; they must be recycled in accordance with European Directive 91/157/EEC. In the case of doubt, please ask your distributor or local administrator for up-to-date, detailed information.
- This appliance is compliant with European Directive 2002/96/EG governing electrical and electronic appliances identified as (waste electrical and electronic equipment WEEE). The directive provides the general framework valid throughout the EU for the removal and reuse of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
