How to use the ELECTRON paper cutter?

Place the paper against the adjustable guide, lower the lever or press the button to activate the electric blade. Then release so the blade automatically retracts.

What is the maximum cutting capacity?

The cutter can cut up to 15 sheets of standard paper (80 g/m²) in one pass. For thicker materials, reduce the number of sheets.

Is the cutter safe for children?

Yes, it is equipped with a blade lock in rest position and finger guard. However, adult supervision is recommended.

How to replace the blade?

First unplug the device. Use a screwdriver to remove the blade fixing screws, then replace it with a FELLOWES replacement blade. Follow detailed instructions in the manual.

What type of paper can I cut?

This cutter is designed for standard paper, photographs, business cards, and light cardboard (max 200 g/m²). Avoid hard plastics or fabrics.

The cut is not clean, what to do?

Check that the blade is well sharpened and that you do not exceed the maximum capacity. If the problem persists, replace the blade.

How to clean the cutter?

Use a soft dry cloth to remove paper residue. For stubborn stains, slightly dampen the cloth with water, then dry immediately. Do not use abrasive products.

The cutter makes abnormal noise, what to do?

Stop the device and unplug it. Check that no foreign object is blocking the blade. If the noise persists, contact a FELLOWES authorized service.

Can I cut more than 15 sheets?

No, exceeding capacity may damage the blade or motor. For large stacks, use an industrial paper cutter.

Where to find spare parts?

Replacement blades and other parts are available on the FELLOWES official website or from authorized dealers. Always use original parts.

CAUTION

• Caution: blades are extremely sharp.
• SafeCut™ cassette encloses blades - do not try to extract blades manually.
• Always supervise children during use.
• Do not overload trimmer.
• Keep pets away from trimmer while in use.
• Do not open or attempt to repair, as this will void your warranty. Contact Customer Service if you have questions. Please note the warranty does not apply in cases of abuse, mishandling or unauthorized repair.
• Do not try to open SafeCut™ blade cartridges.

CUTTING PAPER AND PHOTOS

1. Slide cutting carriage to one end into lock position.

2. Place item (e.g. photo or paper) onto cutting table.

Electron™ SET-UP

To operate:

1. Remove battery and cover
2. Remove plastic film
3. Re-insert battery and cover

3. Hold paper steady with hand or clamping mechanism. To activate cutting blade, push down carriage handle. (Electron: when pressing handle down, LED will glow)

4. To cut, push handle downwards and slide carriage along until reaching the end of the bar. At the end of the bar, release the carriage and the clamping mechanism will release. For cutting larger capacities press blade harder on side nearest the cutting strip.

CHANGE SAFECUT CARTRIDGE

1. Slide cutting carriage to one end into lock position.

1. Lift carriage handle up.

1. Pull SafeCut™ cartridge upwards out of cutting carriage and insert new cartridge (push down to click into place).

1. Press yellow button to release cassette from base. Return into storage slot in base.

CHANGING CUTTING STRIP

1. Slide cutting carriage to one end into lock position.

1. Remove cutting strip off trimmer base.

1. Turn cutting strip over to use both sides.

1. Replacement strips available (see accessory details).

ELECTRON SAFECUT™ LED GUIDE

1. Slide cutting carriage to one end into lock position. Pull (swing) carriage handle up.

2. Turn switch to ON (I) position.

3. Pull (swing) carriage handle down.

4. Press handle down to activate SafeCut™ LED Guide.

CHANGE BATTERY ON ELECTRON SAFECUT™ LED GUIDE

1. Slide cutting carriage to one end into lock position. Pull (swing) carriage handle up.

2. Unscrew battery cover with coin or screwdriver (left turn opens, right turn closes battery cover).

3. Remove old battery and replace with a new battery [type CR2032].

4. Close battery cover.

If any part is found to be defective during the warranty period, your sole and exclusive remedy will be repair or replacement, at Fellowes' option and expense, of the defective part.
